"It’s nothing serious, I’ll go prepare lunch!" Maria said so reassuring words to Xia Qingqian, then turned and headed to the kitchen.
Once Maria entered the kitchen, she took out her phone and inford Bao Bao about Xia Qingqian and Young Master. As expected, there was a brief silence on the other end, followed by a hesitant attempt to confirm if it was true.
Monts later, the doorbell rang. It was Uncle Quan at the door. Watching the screen of the intercom, he saw the wealthy lady from next door standing outside with her child.
Uncle Quan instructed security to let them through and brought them to the main house.
"Uncle Quan, how’s your health recently? I’ve been quite busy lately and haven’t had ti to visit you." The wealthy lady placed Bao Bao on the ground, politely greeting Uncle Quan.
"You’ve always been so considerate, over the years your care for has been imnse." Uncle Quan said with a smile, then bowed slightly and invited them in, "Please co in, have a seat, and enjoy a cup of tea."
"Oh, no need to trouble yourself, I have things to attend to." The wealthy lady shook her head with a smile, "It’s just that my Bao Bao insisted he had to co over when he heard Qingqian and Brother Yao were staying in the United Kingdom for a while."
Bao Bao is a fair-skinned little boy with slightly curly blond hair and big round eyes, looking to be about five years old. He politely hugged Uncle Quan and showed his sharp little canine teeth, crisply calling out, "Grandpa, hug hug."
Uncle Quan chuckled and squatted down, hugging him, "Mario, Grandpa has a good news and a bad news for you, which one do you want to hear first?"
The little boy nad Mario pondered for a mont, turning his bright blue eyes, then extending two chubby fingers, deliberating over Uncle Quan’s words, weighing his options, and finally said, "Mario wants to hear the good news first..."
"Qingqian and Brother Yao decided to stay for a week." Uncle Quan affectionately stroked Mario’s soft hair, "Isn’t that good news?"
"That news is ancient! I knew Qingqian would stay ages ago!" To Uncle Quan’s surprise, Mario was not at all amazed but instead made fun of Uncle Quan’s outdated news, "Grandpa, you’ve lost your touch. Mario knew before you did, next ti I’ll share such good news with you."
This little boy amused everyone present, and the commotion drew Maria out from the kitchen, where she was preparing lunch. Upon seeing the wealthy lady and Mario, she instantly looked spirited.
"Bao Bao, are you so eager to see your sister?" Maria joked, then smiled at the wealthy lady, "Madam, you go ahead with your tasks, Bao Bao will be well taken care of here."
"Alright, then I’ll leave Bao Bao in your capable hands." The wealthy lady showed no sign of embarrassnt, taking a transparent small bag from her purse and handing it to Xia Qingqian, "This is Bao Bao’s cold dicine, rember to give it to him later, Bao Bao likes you and will obediently take his dicine."
Xia Qingqian took the small bag of multicolored dicine; she thought they looked terrifying, and if she were in Bao Bao’s shoes, she wouldn’t want to take them either.
"Sister... Sister... Mommy’s so bad... She’s like the big bad wolf from Chinese cartoons, forcing Bao Bao to eat so yucky things." Bao Bao jumped off Uncle Quan, sprinted to Xia Qingqian, hugged her tight, and sweetly said, "Sister hug... Sister hug!"
