Everyone took the coffee, feeling obliged by Ye Zi’s graciousness, they had no choice but to be polite to her.
They praised Ye Zi for being gentle, beautiful, and kind-hearted.
Ye Ning, along with He Yahui, watched from behind. Because they didn’t know it was Ye Zi, they hadn’t prepared anything.
Thus, the two appeared rather pitiful to so staff mbers watching from behind.
Unable to bear the sight, one staff mber rushed over and said, "Ye Ning, you’re here. Go in, the eting hasn’t started yet."
Everyone looked at Ye Ning, thinking to themselves, she’s still a newbie, not as insightful as Ye Zi, who brought coffee for everyone upon arrival, whilst she brought nothing.
Plus, they saw how Ye Zi was winning everyone over, whilst she couldn’t do anything. It was such a pitiful sight.
Seeing all the bosses warmly interacting with Ye Zi and not even sparing a glance at Ye Ning just made them feel more sympathetic.
Ye Ning, looking at Ye Zi, didn’t say anything and just went in.
Luo Wei was already sitting in the middle of the conference room with a few designers and the director of this project.
Seeing Ye Ning arrive, Luo Wei stood up smiling to welco her.
"Please have a seat. Where is Ye Zi?"
He Yahui said, "She’s outside distributing the coffee. She should be here soon."
Distributing coffee?
Luo Wei involuntarily frowned at this.
Being a designer, he had a certain loftiness in his heart, detesting such worldly ass-kissing tactics.
And these celebrities, always loved doing such things.
If they had acting skills or abilities worth ntioning, it would have been another matter or if everybody knew each other for a while, it would be acceptable, but to distribute coffee before even eting anyone, what sches.
Just as he was thinking this, Ye Zi and Lin Shu walked in grandiosely.
Seeing that Ye Ning had already sat down and was drinking coffee calmly, Ye Zi searched for a spot and sat down.
Luo Wei glanced at both of them, then turned to Ye Zi and said, "You missed the last eting. Today, we’re here to discuss our collaboration. Take a look, we have several advertising plan options, and neither of you signed any specific contract concerning which set of advertisents to shoot."
Right away, Lin Shu interjected from behind, "But Ye Zi won’t simply take on any project. If the advertisent you serve us is not good, we’d rather opt-out than shoot it."
Ye Zi stopped Lin Shu with a symbolic gesture, "It’s alright, let’s hear what the organizer has to say."
Luo Wei glanced at Lin Shu, "Rest assured ladies, the higher-ups said that if Miss Ye Zi is available, she could take the first pick."
Only then did Lin Shu reveal a triumphant smile and cast a glance at the quiet Ye Ning, thinking to herself, ’Now you know where you stand.’
Luo Wei brought out two plans: the fresh series and the black and white series.
Imdiately Ye Zi’s eyes were drawn to the fresh series with its bold colors. She gave a slight smile, signaling Lin Shu.
Lin Shu looked over at the bleak black and white series and thought how fitting it would be for soone like Ye Ning.
"We choose this one," she declared.
Luo Wei glanced at Lin Shu, "Are you sure?"
Lin Shu nodded without hesitation, "Of course, we’re choosing this one. Why? Has it already been chosen by soone else?"
She hinted at Ye Ning sitting behind them.
Luo Wei laughed, "Of course not, if we say you’re first, then you’re first."
Luo Wei then turned to Ye Ning, "Do you have any objections?"
Ye Ning quirked a smile, "No."
Ye zi thought to herself, ’Even if you wanted to object, do you think you can?’
Everyone has already said that we get first pick, you all want to object? How is that possible?
In her opinion, Luo Wei must just be going through the motions, he wouldn’t care about Ye Ning’s opinion at all.
