Ye Ning looked at him in surprise. He draped an arm around Ye Ning’s shoulder, gazing defiantly at the little boy.
The boy peered at the two with skeptical eyes.
"What sort of look is that?" asked Mu Yeli.
The boy pouted, "What a pity."
Unexpectedly, Mu Yeli felt quite gratified by the boy’s envious expression and held Ye Ning a bit more closely.
At the entrance, Ye Ning reported the boy’s situation to the receptionist.
The waiter promptly alerted the entire supermarket.
The Chinese supermarket was huge and spread across three floors and, for the ti being, nobody ca to claim the boy. The boy sat there, dangling his legs, his mixed-race face was extrely adorable.
"Did my mom abandon ?" he asked.
"How could that be possible?" Ye Ning squatted down, "Your mom must be anxiously looking for you right now."
The boy shook his head, "It seems like my mom doesn’t like very much."
"Why would you say that?"
"Because I’ve never seen my dad..."
"Silly kid." Ye Ning paused. Thinking about her own past as an orphan, not even a family to rember, let alone a father, her emotions swelled. She reached out to pinch the boy’s cheek, "Your mother’s love for you might be buried deep down, but no mother doesn’t love her child. You just can’t see it. And if you love your mother, you know this."
The boy puckered his lips and asked, "Really?"
"Of course. I’m a woman too, just like your mother. I understand."
Mu Yeli saw the woman who was unconcerned about her image, squatting on the ground.
So, she acknowledges herself as a woman now.
She usually doesn’t behave like a woman at all.
Watching her comfort the child, however, Mu Yeli couldn’t help but smile faintly.

The boy’s mother, finally spotting her child, cried out in joy and held the boy tight, not willing to let go.
