As soon as Ye Ning entered, all the curious eyes were cast on her.
Ye Ning sported a simple black halter top with a split floral skirt that showcased her long legs. Her entire presence was undeniably beautiful. Her face, however, was too stunning by any standards. One glance at her and a word ca to mind, "fem fatale".
"So what," An Keke comntated with a humph. "n are fond of her type. The judges are all n; they would naturally like her. However, I see nothing striking in her, not every seductive woman would necessarily beco popular."
An Keke has been a well-known artist for long. She once made a na for herself as a mber of a group and later embarked on a solo career. Although her attempt to branch out was unsuccessful, leading her to fade from the public eye, coming, as she did, from a rich family, she saw being a celebrity as a hobby. Her affluent parents never hesitated in splurging money on her. Now, she has signed a contract with a new company to revive her career. People have been speculating that she could be crowned as the winner. Everyone present readily flattered her, echoing her sentints, "Exactly, there are a lot of beautiful won in the industry. She’s nothing special."
Ye Ning, however, ignored them. As soon as she entered, she was quickly ushered in by the staff mbers who had been left in stunned admiration by her beauty.
"Makeup first, we need to gather for the shoot soon," a staff mber instructed.
The makeup room was spacious. None of the occupants were big stars in the film and television industry, so no one was entitled to a separate makeup room. They all had to put on their makeup together. Those who were nice to the makeup artist would be made up prettier, while the others had to wait their turn.
Upon entering, Ye Ning was escorted to the key area by the staff mber. Her captivating beauty made it certain that she would be one of the key subjects of the shoot, so she received special consideration.
From a corner of the room, An Keke’s envious gaze was fixed on Ye Ning. Staring at her perfectly chiseled side profile, a wave of jealously washed over An Keke.
Ye Ning was busy getting her makeup done as An Keke glared enviously at her from a distance. Noticing but not caring about the hostility, she carried on with her makeup.
But An Keke couldn’t let Ye Ning have it her way!
Her eyes landed on a sharp pair of scissors on one side...
"Hey, why do I sll sothing foul? Who’s that vixen who just ca in?" An Keke verbalized her thoughts out loud.
Ye Ning wasn’t interested in arguing with such people. Her small arms and legs were nothing compared to what she was used to handling, "Foul sll? Might be emanating from the soiled pants you forgot to change in the morning."
"You... who are you referring to? ? How dare you! You are just a novice in the show, and you are already acting like you are famous? You are disrespectful towards , a senior. Did no one teach you to respect your elders? In that case, let teach you so manners as a stand-in for your family."
With those words, she revealed the scissors from behind her, and with a burst of chilly light reflecting off the blade, she aid straight at Ye Ning’s face.
However, she wasn’t expecting...
For Ye Ning, this was child’s play. She was too lazy to even sche and caught An Keke’s wrist mid-air.
An Keke felt a spasm of pain in her arm.
"Ah..."
A cold glint passed through Ye Ning’s eyes as she saw the scissors. She bent An Keke’s arm inwards, causing the scissors to scrape across An Keke’s own arm. Inexperienced in enduring pain, An Keke imdiately shrieked loudly.
"Ah, Ye Ning, Ye Ning, I’m bleeding...I’m bleeding...Sobody, get this...this wretched woman away from ! How dare she hit !"
The real villain had the audacity to complain first, it seed.
In no ti, a crowd of rubberneckers had gathered around them.
"What’s going on?" A staff mber hurriedly rushed towards the scene from outside.
"She, Ye Ning hurt as soon as she arrived, look!"
Ye Ning snorted, "The scissors are yours, and you were the first one to attack. How did it turn into hurting you?"
"Hah, what are you trying to imply? Are you suggesting that I hard myself intentionally? Look at yourself first. Who do you think you are? I, An Keke, need not waste my ti on you."
