Ye Ning went to the bathroom, and indeed.
Her body had been getting better recently, her periods beca more regular, and mostly arrived on ti.
This ti wasn’t much different, not coming much earlier than expected which probably was connected to her emotional surge at the ti.
After dealing with it for a while, she ca out only to find Mu Yeli staring at her. This steadfast focus on her though, made her feel even more frightened.
What was he planning to do this ti?
Mu Yeli asked, "Is it... your period?"
The word ’period’... was such a serious term that coming out from his mouth sohow felt weird.
Did he really need to be this blatant about it?
Ye Ning stood there embarrassed, her face red.
Mu Yeli then asked, "Do you have a stomachache?"
"Yes, a bit."
"Alright, sit down, I’ll make you sothing to drink."
"Okay."
She then sat down in the small kitchen.
There was a small bar on the side, a warm chandelier hanging above it.
Ye Ning sat down and watched as Mu Yeli got a pot ready to cook sothing.
She looked around and asked, "Are all the servants really off today?"
"Yes."
Otherwise, she thought, there was no need for him to go through all this trouble; he could’ve just asked the servants to do it.
Mu Yeli picked up a knife, diced various vegetables, rolled out so dough, and then turned back to her, saying, "I’m making you so paste to eat, co here, help put on the apron."
"Okay."
Ye Ning hopped off her seat, took hold of an apron, watched as he lowered his head to put it on, and then tied it from the back.
The warmth of the mont greatly surprised her.
She propped up her head and watched him work dexterously. Soon, a bowl of aromatic paste was placed in front of her.
Ye Ning watched him. He took a tissue to wipe his hands, still wearing the apron, scooped a spoonful of paste, blew on it gently, and then brought it to her lips.
She blinked at him, opened her mouth and said, "I...I can do it myself..."
He insisted, "No, I like feeding you."
"..."
Ye Ning wanted to say sothing, but he suddenly furrowed his brows, "Hurry up and eat, otherwise it’ll get cold."
Alright, she’ll eat, begging him to stop acting so smooth.
She took a bite, still keeping her eyes on Mu Yeli.
"Did Jiang Yubai tell you to do this?" she asked him.
He frowned, "What?"
"Did he suggest you to do all this?"
"Yes," Mu Yeli smiled.
But in his heart, he was thinking - this Jiang Yubai, always suggesting that he shouldn’t just sit around doing nothing, such things actually...
"Oh my gosh, this is so la. No wonder, he’s such a typical guy! Next ti, please stop taking his advice."
"..."
Mu Yeli didn’t feel like saying anything anymore.
He had spent an entire day designing this.
Ye Ning let out a sigh of relief. Jiang Yubai, what’s got into him, causing so much trouble.
She looked at Mu Yeli, "I understand that you’ve just broken up with Ye Zi and are feeling lost, needing an outlet for your emotions. That’s why you’re trying to use , but I must tell you, these kinds of things can’t be replaced. If you’re genuinely upset, you can wait for ti to erase your feelings for her, really."
"..."
What was she even talking about?
Mu Yeli looked at her, "What does this have to do with her?"
"Well, it’s just...."
"Ye Ning," he looked at her, "You need to face the fact that my feelings for you have nothing to do with Ye Zi or any other woman. I just... want to prove to you that I can be good to you."
Ye Ning was stunned once again.
