Ye Ning didn’t pay much attention to this Su Xiao and promptly sidled up to Sui Qinglan, asking cheerfully, "Mom, there’s such a big crowd here. How exciting! Are they all friends of yours?"
Quickly putting on a suitable face, Sui Qinglan replied with a smile, "They’re all family relatives. Co on, get acquainted with everyone."
"Oh, I see." Her radiant smile blossod even further, "Mom has been so kind and called us less often because she doesn’t want to disturb our busy schedules. So, I haven’t got the chance to et all the relatives. But, there will be plenty of occasions to et in the future, and I’m sure we’ll get to know each other better."
Her strategically placed apologies not only showed her contriteness but also won Sui Qinglan’s favor.
The key point being, even though her intentions were to ingratiate, not a single word coming out of her mouth bore any hint of flattery.

Ye Ning shrugged off his hand, saying, "It isn’t severe at all. Mom called to get a health check."
She said, placing Sui Qinglan in front of her.
Sui Qinglan thought he was angry earlier.
But, to think, his anger stemd from such a trivial matter!
For a mont, everyone’s eyes flashed with surprise.
Was this the obstinate and indifferent Mu Yeli they knew? He actually cared about soone!
Sui Qinglan hesitated before saying, "Yes, Yeli, why are you so harsh? But Ye Ning, so you did catch a cold..."
Ye Ning said, "It’s not a significant ailnt, who knew he would take it so seriously."
"Then hurry up and take your dicine; go inside. Eat more later, you need to eat more when you’re unwell."
Everyone sat down. Ye Ning intended to sit next to Sui Qinglan, but Mu Yeli quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her over. Together they sat on a single couch, quite cramped.
