Ye Ning acted nonchalant.
Upon seeing Yu Qingqing arrive, she blew kisses to her fans and struck an authoritative pose. "Long ti no see, everybody, I’m back!" she announced.
The crowd below erupted in cheers.
Off to the side, Lin Yuying watched and said, "What’s this about, Ye Ning? It’s as if she’s back to take sothing from you."
Ye Ning shrugged. "Is this her ho turf or sothing?"
Lin Yuying snorted, "And yet, you are still the prettier one."
"Looks aren’t everything."
"Well, you still look better." Lin Yuying pouted. "I just feel like she’s really targeting you."
Ye Ning responded by shrugging nonchalantly once again.
At that mont, Si Wenyu showed up from behind.
"You’re here, Ye Ning."
"Brother Wenyu."
"I got a chance to watch the edited footage of the last episode. You did quite well, really natural. You didn’t look like a newbie at all. And, wow, you’re gaining quite a lot of popularity. I’ve seen the news, and they’re always talking about you. It’s clear that the dia is spotlighting you, it’s not because of any press releases from your family."
He Yahui chuckled, "We wouldn’t send out such a press release without reason."
"Exactly, good eye, Sister He."
As everyone laughed, they saw Yu Qingqing descend from the stage.
She walked past their group, addressing Ye Ning. "Oh, you’re here."
Ye Ning simply smiled.
She continued, "This show has quite the influence, right? Especially now. You’re really lucky; back in the day, we didn’t just beco popular overnight. I rember when we first started, people criticized us harshly. They doubted our capabilities, but we worked hard and eventually won the audience’s approval. Tis have certainly changed. Now look at you, capturing so much attention after just one episode."
Listening to this, Lin Yuying beca increasingly irritated.
What was she insinuating? Did she an that their earlier popularity was due to their hard work, while Ye Ning beca popular just by riding the coattails of the show? Or was she suggesting that it wasn’t because of Ye Ning that the show was popular, but rather that anyone who appeared on this popular show would gain fa in turn?
Lin Yuying’s face turned red in anger.
He Yahui, on the other hand, remarked, "No matter what, Ye Ning didn’t let her audience down. It’s their acknowledgnt of her."
What she ant was, no matter what you say, Ye Ning is popular.
Yu Qingqing shot a harsh look at He Yahui.
After giving her a once-over, she let out a huff.
Then Yue Tong showed up and happily took Yu Qingqing by the arm. "Qingqing, we’re saved! Our show won’t get canceled now."
Watching them walk away arm in arm, Lin Yuying exploded in anger. "What does she an ’the show won’t get canceled’? Didn’t our last episode get amazing ratings? Even without her, the show wouldn’t get cancelled."
Si Wenyu, who had been listening, shook his head in disbelief. Was this feisty girl really Ye Ning’s assistant?
Her assistant really didn’t know how to speak tactfully. Hadn’t she ever heard that walls have ears? What kind of reckless things was she saying?
However, Ye Ning didn’t reprimand Lin Yuying. Instead, she calmly said, "Sweetie, don’t mind them. Let’s just focus on doing our part well."
The reason Ye Ning was indifferent to Lin Yuying’s behavior had to do with the fact that Lin Yuying usually didn’t cause trouble. Even if she did stir up so, Ye Ning was there to handle it. And even if that wasn’t the case... Wouldn’t Miss Lin from the Lin Family have so guts? Ye Ning was confident about that.
