Now reading: Chapter 326 - 181: The Carp Feels the Dragon Gate Within from Hidden Moth, a Sci-fi novel by Xu Gongzi Shengzhi.

The sect rules of the Magic Sect not only regulate the behavior of disciples but also the masters’. Techniques need to be cultivated step by step, but when a master imparts them, the fundantal heart thod of each tier must be complete, without any omissions.

In other words, according to the ancient sect rules, a master cannot hold back in the core inheritance. This is also the basic requirent of responsibility, honoring promises, and protecting the sect’s heritage.

If the master feels that the disciple lacks talent or has character flaws, they may withhold or not teach more applied techniques early. However, once the disciple reaches the appropriate cultivation level, the fundantal heart thod imparted must be complete.

He Kao observed that the Micro-Entry Skill Heart thod taught by the Bitter Tea Sect to Ye Liangcheng seed problematic or incomplete. Ye Liangcheng already had Tier Three Cultivation, but there were obvious deficiencies in the mastery and application of Divine Sense.

Upon inquiry, this was indeed the case.

When Bitter Tea instructed Ye Liangcheng, they demanded that he never disclose the content of the secret technique. But at this ti, Elder Huo Qing had already spoken about the heart thod mantra, describing it in more detail and completeness than what Bitter Tea had taught.

Ye Liangcheng felt there was no need to keep it secret any longer and detailed everything Bitter Tea had taught him to Elder Huo Qing.

Bitter Tea had taught Ye Liangcheng several applied techniques, all highly targeted thods. He Kao had also sparred with Ye Liangcheng, discovering that his skills were quite good.

In terms of skills alone, Ye Liangcheng was actually not inferior to Ren Zhongqing, whom He Kao had previously t. Ren Zhongqing was an authentic Tier Three Sorcerer of the Heart Plate Sect, whose disciples were reputed to be most adept at combat.

He Kao could pose as an expert in front of Ye Liangcheng, seemingly able to defeat him with ease in their encounters, but this was due to two factors.

Over ti, with diligent practice, especially after also practicing Ice Skin Jade Bone and experiencing a "pounding" from Tan the Immortal, He Kao’s abilities had improved significantly since encountering Ren Zhongqing.

On the other hand, He Kao’s mastery and application of Divine Sense were much more exquisite than Ye Liangcheng’s.

The incomplete Tier Three fundantal heart thod taught by Bitter Tea didn’t seem to affect Ye Liangcheng’s daily cultivation but made it nearly impossible for him to glimpse the path to Breaking the Gate.

In this situation, no matter how Ye Liangcheng cultivated, he could not achieve Tier Three Perfection, let alone break through to Tier Four Cultivation.

He Kao completed the fundantal heart thod for Ye Liangcheng, but he himself was not a sorcerer of the Micro Realm Sect, and it was only based on Jiang Daozhen’s explanations that Ye Liangcheng was a legitimate practitioner of the Micro-Entry Skill.

Ye Liangcheng was grateful beyond words, and after He Kao left, he sat alone for a long ti, lost in thought, his emotions sotis out of control, crying and laughing alternately, alarming the five wolf dogs in the yard.

Finally, Ye Liangcheng opened another bottle of wine and drank himself into a stupor.

However, after returning, He Kao was very puzzled. He couldn’t understand Gu Jiang’s intentions: why was the fundantal heart thod taught to Ye Liangchen incomplete? Because it was unnecessary!

He Kao traced back to Ye Liangcheng with the original intent to deal with this group of cleaners under Gu Jiang, but in the end, he felt quite sympathetic towards Ye Liangcheng. Ye Liangcheng was also a victim and not genuinely malicious.

The Eastern Country has an idiom: using others as a mirror, which is also a kind of Observation thod. In Ye Liangcheng, He Kao saw a bit of his own reflection.

He couldn’t help but ask himself, what if he were in Ye Liangcheng’s position? The answer might be brutal: rely relying on himself, it would be challenging to see through this setup, and hard to escape a similar predicant.

Then what could he do? The answer remains—surety without blindness, seeing myself as such.

In fact, the words He Kao spoke to Ye Liangcheng reflected his own thoughts—even being under the Bitter Tea Sect didn’t an losing the ability to judge right from wrong,

even if Bitter Tea saved his life, imparted techniques, if Bitter Tea asked him to do anything, he couldn’t blindly follow without conditions; he must have his judgnt.

Ye Liangcheng was fortunate not only because of his good nature but also his position and duties; Gu Jiang didn’t task him with any major wicked deeds.

He Kao spoke with discretion before Ye Liangcheng, revealing many details bit by bit, never directly exposing Bitter Tea’s thods, nor imdiately unveiling all truths.

Because doing so would be hard for Ye Liangcheng to accept—he might feel as if the whole world was collapsing... If Huang Xiaopang were handling this matter, Ye Liangcheng might have already collapsed by now.

But after passing on the complete Tier Three Heart thod for Micro-Entry Skill to Ye Liangcheng, as long as Ye Liangcheng was not naive, he could gradually uncover the truth, realizing that this "master" Bitter Tea had problems.

Apparently, Bitter Tea deliberately withheld during the transfer of secret techniques, making it almost impossible for him to break through to higher realms, let alone defeat Hu Shulue in the future.

With Elder Huo Qing’s status, observing and guiding Ye Liangcheng, He Kao, of course, had his own considerations. Keeping Ye Liangcheng there could lure out the rest of the cleaners, then investigate what those people had been up to.

Not everything could be done by He Kao himself; these tasks could also be assigned to Ye Liangcheng.

Why was the heart thod taught by Bitter Tea incomplete? Was it feared that Ye Liangcheng might break through to Tier Four in the future and really seek revenge on Hu Shulue? Or was it feared that Ye Liangcheng’s too high cultivation would be hard to control in the end?

But on careful thought, these are not legitimate reasons. What Ye Liangcheng learned was from Bitter Tea; even with the complete Tier Three Heart thod, he could not easily escape Bitter Tea’s control.
