Now reading: Chapter 346 - 194: The Blue Magpie and the Mantis from Hidden Moth, a Sci-fi novel by Xu Gongzi Shengzhi.

Lan Jiwan: "Shouldn’t he die?"

Ye Liangcheng: "I wanted to ask a few more questions... Forget it, ask whatever you want."

Ye Liangcheng wasn’t saddened by Gao Chenshu’s death. After the initial shock, he tried to remain as composed as possible. He didn’t know why the Blue Magpie had appeared here or why she had killed Gao Chenshu, but he needed to figure out her motives first.

Compared to two months ago, Ye Liangcheng had now learned to ponder more.

Lan Jiwan didn’t care what Ye Liangcheng was thinking, and directly asked: "How did you find Redwood?"

Ye Liangcheng’s mind raced as he glanced at the lifeless body of Gao Chenshu. He decided to tell the truth: "Big Cannon Platform told . Big Cannon Platform is dead now, I killed him!"

Lan Jiwan was quite taken aback: "Oh, what exactly happened? Tell in detail!"

With his life in the hands of the other party, Ye Liangcheng felt he had no choice but to speak. Seeing how the Blue Magpie had killed Gao Chenshu without a word but left him for interrogation, he had so guesses in his heart.

Once Ye Liangcheng started talking, he had quite a bit to say! From Elder Huo Qing’s tests and investigations, which gradually made him suspect Bitter Tea’s true identity.

Then Feng Zilong from the Big Cannon Platform snuck back to the base. With guidance from Elder Huo Qing, he avoided a plot against him, and then thoroughly saw through Bitter Tea’s actions.

He even interjected stories from his own family, including the hatred with Hu Shulue, how he t Bitter Tea, and how he was deceived by Bitter Tea, as well as passing on the truth told to him by Elder Huo Qing.

He finally said: "Blue Magpie, since you killed Redwood, you must also hate his actions. Back then, you must have been deceived by Bitter Tea as well. Elder Huo Qing is not on the sa path as Bitter Tea, he is there to punish the scum of the Magic Sect..."

Lan Jiwan coldly interrupted: "Don’t call the Blue Magpie anymore!"

Her tone was unfriendly, but Ye Liangcheng secretly breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Then what should I call you?"

Lan Jiwan: "Don’t try to get information out of , just answer the questions."

Ye Liangcheng: "I’ve already told you everything you wanted to know! Elder Huo Qing entrusted with investigating everyone’s identities and past actions. Are you willing..."

Lan Jiwan waved her hand again and said: "Stop! I don’t believe you, and I certainly don’t believe that Huo Qing."

Ye Liangcheng: "It’s okay if you don’t believe , but on my phone, I have the recording from that night when I interrogated the Big Cannon Platform, and a set of data that Elder Huo Qing sent .

That recording explains why I could find this place. The data is even more important, introducing the Magic Sect and Techniques, as well as Bitter Tea’s identity and background... They are all disciples of the Micro Realm Sect, from the Huiming Shi Family."

Blue Magpie: "You’ve already ntioned all of that."

Ye Liangcheng: "Words aren’t enough. You don’t believe , but you can listen and see for yourself."

Blue Magpie: "Which phone? How to open it? Where’s that data saved?"

Ye Liangcheng had brought two phones; the one with the data was in the right pocket of his pants. Although he felt weak and couldn’t exert strength, Lan Jiwan cautiously didn’t co close to search him, instead asking him to throw the phone over.

Ye Liangcheng’s poisoning symptoms had eased a lot, and he struggled to take the phone out and throw it to Blue Magpie.

His hand was still weak, and the phone flew just over a foot, about to hit the ground, but was suddenly captured by an invisible force, landing in Lan Jiwan’s hand.

Ye Liangcheng saw that her Spiritual Sense Manipulation skills and technique were clearly superior to his own.

Lan Jiwan maintained a distance of more than three ters from Ye Liangcheng the whole ti, even though he appeared weak and defenseless after being poisoned, she was in no way negligent.

She didn’t even check the phone’s contents in front of Ye Liangcheng, as it could easily distract her and provide an opportunity for attack. Instead, she left the cave with Ye Liangcheng’s phone.

Ye Liangcheng waited for several hours but Blue Magpie didn’t return. Gradually, he began to barely circulate his Divine Qi and stood up, leaning against the cave wall.

The entrance to the cave was the back wall of a building tightly against the mountainside, with a hidden door that opened to a private study-like reception room.

What was unusual about this room was that it had no windows.

Gao Chenshu had built five guesthouses here, all two-story structures built along the mountain slope. The one at the far end of the road was where he lived in seclusion. Recently, the guesthouses hadn’t been open for business, and no one else was around.

Ye Liangcheng walked out of the cave and found that the light in the study was on, and his phone was left on the desk. Sitting behind the desk was none other than Elder Huo Qing, wearing a mask!

Upon seeing Huo Qing, Ye Liangcheng finally relaxed and exclaid with surprise: "Elder, why are you here?"

He Kao sighed: "I just couldn’t feel at ease."

Ye Liangcheng: "Were you secretly protecting ... Did you already see the Blue Magpie earlier?"

He Kao didn’t explain much, just said quietly: "I saw her, she followed you here and eavesdropped on your conversation with Gao Chenshu.

After leaving the cave, she also looked through the data on your phone and copied it to Gao Chenshu’s computer, removing the hard drive along with it."

On Gao Chenshu’s desk, there was a desktop computer, and Lan Jiwan had transferred the contents from Ye Liangcheng’s phone to the computer. There were many other things stored in that computer, but Lan Jiwan didn’t have ti to examine them all, so she simply took the hard drive with her.

Ye Liangcheng was surprised: "Elder, you just let her go like that?"

He Kao: "She probably hasn’t gone far."

Ye Liangcheng was shocked again: "Where is she?"

He Kao: "She’s very cautious and won’t easily trust what you said. Since she let you go earlier, she might be hiding sowhere to observe what you do next, like whether you call for any companions, or have co over as well."

Ye Liangcheng: "What should we do now?"

He Kao: "I’ll take Gao Chenshu’s body to deal with it, and you are responsible for cleaning up the ss. The computer with a missing hard drive here, tampered monitoring, and traces of your presence... all these are loopholes. Do you know how to clean them up?"

Ye Liangcheng: "I’ll handle it well."

He Kao: "So work requires technical knowledge."

Ye Liangcheng: "I know as well, I used to do technical work." Saying this, he put away the phone on the desk.

He Kao: "This phone might have been tampered with by her. Are you going to keep using it?"

Ye Liangcheng: "Huh? Of course, I won’t keep using it... This phone wasn’t in regular use anyway."

He Kao: "After you clean up here, leave by noon tomorrow. Here, just assu Gao Chenshu disappeared on his own, no one knows where he went. Return to Nanhua and wait for , do whatever you need to do, leave the Blue Magpie to ."

Ye Liangcheng stayed in the guesthouse, finally doing his first real task as a "cleaner" while He Kao quietly left.

As He Kao had guessed, Lan Jiwan hadn’t gone far. She was hiding in the dense forest on an adjacent slope overlooking the guesthouses. From her elevated position, she could see the guesthouses, but it was hard to spot her from there.
