Unregulated service? Although this bone-setting hospital is run like a private club, what He Kao saw in his on-site inspection was nothing but regularity. Could there really be soone lodging complaints?
If the leader says there’s an issue, then there is, and indeed, it can be unpredictable. Competitors or just anyone with a grudge against Chang’an Residence might easily file a report without much effort.
Even if the bone-setting hospital operates very regularly, persistent complaints would still be problematic, so it’s necessary to maintain relationships. For instance, the relationship between Chang’an Residence and this police officer seems well managed.
Even though they’re talking behind closed doors in the office, there’s no escaping Li Xiuyuan’s perception. He Kao noticed it too, but hasn’t realized that Chang’an Residence has already broken through Tier Three.

He Kao: "Once, my grandfather hurt his back and went to a master in town for massage and bone-setting. I accompanied him.
The shop front was small, just a room facing the street in his own ho, not very expensive, fifty per session, without strict timing rules, each session lasting about half an hour."
Li Xiuyuan: "How was the skill?"

Li Xiuyuan: "Ten or eight custors occasionally is fine, but if every day is like that, he’d probably be quite exhausted, unable to do anything else, with all his ti tied up.
Imagine you’re known far and wide, and there’s a flood of custors coming to see you, you’d definitely be overwheld... if you were Kung Fu Chang, what would you do?"
Elder Li inadvertently started yet another teaching session.

Otherwise, if he’s doing it alone, personally handling each clock session, regardless of high fees and good publicity, how much business can he take on in a year working to exhaustion?"
He Kao: "I looked up his information, oddly enough, though there are introductions online, there’s not much you can find. This hospital’s on-site marketing is done so well, but there’s not even a website, nor has there been much on traffic promotion..."
Li Xiuyuan: "What you call traffic promotion is just the usual client projects you encounter, different nature. Do you think there would be many people who read an online introduction, then like us, fly to Luzhou just to seek his bone-setting massage?"
He Kao then smiled too: "There shouldn’t be many, this isn’t like ordering express delivery."
Li Xiuyuan: "Different businesses, different strategies, he doesn’t need to do things that way, there’s neither need for the cost nor is it effective marketing.
He has real skill, just making a breakthrough among a certain clientele is sufficient, he might even struggle to handle the volu.
