The occupancy rate of Sesa Apartnt is not low, consistently staying at around sixty to seventy percent. He Kao has lived in Sesa Apartnt for almost two years, yet he has never heard of all rooms in the entire five apartnt buildings being rented out.
Each building always has rooms with poor orientation, layout, or location, which are not cost-effective, and even have issues with water and electricity facilities. Normally, no one wants to live in them; it’s definitely not normal if they’re all rented out.
While they were talking, the two people left the building and walked towards Sesa Apartnt. At the entrance, they encountered a middle-aged man, and Qian Guran nodded and greeted him.
Man: "President Qian off work?"
Qian Guran: "Yes, off work."
Man: "Quite early today, huh?"
Qian Guran: "Yeah, not so busy for once."
Man: "How about later we whip up a few dishes, have a drink over at my place, and gather so folks for a card ga afterward?"
Qian Guran: "Thanks! I have another engagent tonight."
After entering the gate, He Kao asked: "Who’s that?"
Qian Guran: "The new neighbor, Old Li."
He Kao: "You seem quite familiar with him, how long has he been living here?"
Qian Guran: "Moved in two days before New Year’s, got a naturally sociable personality... You’re a rare visitor today, how about coming to my place first for a while?"
He Kao: "Sure, I took most of my stuff back from my place, perfect ti to borrow so tea from you."
Qian Guran lives in Building One, Room 0912, with a layout of two bedrooms and a living room. It’s the largest unit type in Sesa Apartnt. He Kao used to live opposite in Room 0915, which is a one-bedroom unit, the smallest type in Sesa Apartnt.
Later, on the pretext of improving living conditions, He Kao moved to a one-bedroom, one-living room unit in Building Three, Room 2016. Today, it’s considered revisiting an old place.
Upon exiting the elevator, a middle-aged woman with a child was waiting for the elevator. The boy looked about seventeen or eighteen and was taller than his mother.
Qian Guran nodded and smiled: "Going to cram school?"
The woman’s expression showed so surprise, she quickly smiled back and said: "Yes, I’m taking Xiaoliang to cram school."
The boy nad Xiaoliang was quite polite, he nodded and said: "Hello, Uncle Qian!"
Qian Guran: "Yes, hello, study well!"
Once in the corridor, Qian Guran further explained: "They are the wife and child of Old Li from downstairs. The child is called Li Liangcai; he is applying for an arts major, ca to Qi Yuan for cram school, and his parents ca along to accompany him."
He Kao: "Also living on this floor?"
Of course, implying that’s obvious, Qian Guran gestured: "They live in Room 0916, sa two bedrooms and a living room as mine; Xiaoi lives in Room 0915, which is where you originally rented."
Upon hearing this, and seeing Old Qian’s thoughtful expression, He Kao suddenly realized two things.
The first is that he actually didn’t know which room i Guyu lived in, and second, the respected Elder i from the Ancestral Hall rented such a basic apartnt.
The smallest one-bedroom in Sesa Apartnt has a building area of less than thirty square ters, a usable area of less than twenty square ters, with a monthly rent of twenty-five hundred, excluding water and electricity.
Upon entering is a hallway two ters long and one ter wide, with a small kitchen countertop on the right along the wall, equipped with a range hood and sink, and no natural gas, though one can use an induction cooker for simple cooking, like for boiling noodles.
To the left of the hallway is the bathroom, equipped with a toilet, sink, shower room, and cramd in a washing machine, making full use of the space.
Upon passing through the hallway, you enter the bedroom, which also functions as a living room, reception room, study, and workspace... covering a dozen square ters.
Why did i Guyu specifically choose to rent the room he previously lived in, 0915? He Kao wouldn’t arrogantly think he holds so special significance to i Guyu.
It only proves one thing: i Guyu did not experience the world with the identity of a regular adult. Despite how easy it might be for her with her cultivation to understand the affairs of the world, it’s quite different than experiencing them firsthand.
So she simply chose a ready-made template, which was once He Kao: a master’s graduate who had just joined a big company’s tech departnt, and how would ordinary life have been in Qi Yuan?
The two entered Qian Guran’s apartnt, closed the door, and made tea. Qian Guran took out a set of things for a simple setup. He Kao curiously said: "Old Qian, when did you also start practicing arrays?"
Qian Guran shot him a look: "At least I’m a Tier Four Cultivator, can’t I learn so extra things?" Then explained further, "I haven’t specifically researched arrays, just learned simply how to use them.
This array was given to by the Ancestral Hall, it can isolate sounds and prevent divine sense prying, making it convenient for conversation."
He Kao: "That’s a good thing, I want a set myself."
Qian Guran: "Then get one on your own skill, this array isn’t mine, it’s just temporarily given to by the Ancestral Hall... Let’s talk business, what do you think of that family of three we bumped into earlier?"
He Kao: "I felt like the child’s mother should know , although it’s the first ti we’ve t."
Qian Guran: "How about the child’s father, the Old Li we t at the entrance?"
He Kao: "Didn’t notice at the ti, now that I recall, he probably knows too. Just his reaction was calr, seems ntally prepared, thinking it is normal to encounter here."
Qian Guran: "It’s not hard to gather your public information; encountering the child’s mother at the elevator, her reaction was to suddenly recognize you, a bit caught off guard."
He Kao is also a well-known figure among sorcerers, not so reclusive old monster. His usual identity is just an ordinary worker in a large company, it’s not difficult to gather information about him.
