Gao Xue’e: "Are all the things you just said true?"

He Kao: "Yes, they are true, all true, they are all my personal experiences."

Gao Xue’e fell silent, and after a while, she murmured: "Can you say it again and tell what exactly happened?"

Earlier it was Xiaotao interrogating He Kao, and the information exchanged was rather fragnted and not coherent.

In the introduction about the Hidden Moth, techniques, Magic Sect, and Sorcerers, He Kao certainly didn’t need to repeat everything in detail; he mainly just talked about a few recent events he encountered. Gao Xue’e roughly understood but there were still many areas she couldn’t comprehend.

In such a situation, does Gao Xue’e still need to satisfy her curiosity? It’s not entirely due to curiosity; at least she needs to figure out the situation and determine what exactly she’s gotten into.

This is an instinct of self-preservation, as long as one can remain conscious, the more frightened one gets, the more such instincts manifest.

He Kao sighed silently and gave Gao Xue’e a brief introduction with as clear a mind as possible.

While speaking, he tried to control his emotions, and thereafter paid attention to controlling his voice, tone, and speed, appearing both afraid and helpless, both terrified and bewildered... as if trying to grasp onto sothing.

The Observing ditation thod can control emotions, and this control not only ans elimination; not being afraid and staying calm is a form of control, putting oneself in a fearful scenario is also a form of control, not to ntion that he was genuinely afraid.

He spoke intermittently for about twenty minutes, not only explaining what the Hidden Moth and the Magic Sect were, but also suggesting that his father might have been the Hidden Moth back in the day.

He didn’t know what his father encountered before his death when he was young, only recently heard about it from Qian Guran and others... As for the recording, he naturally didn’t ntion it, only saying that Qian Guran told him.

Gao Xue’e seed to understand, but whether she believed it or not was another matter.

Gao Xue’e: "I have heard a little about your family... They captured you to find that Hidden Moth, right?"

He Kao: "It seems so."

Gao Xue’e: "But why did they capture ?"

He Kao lowered his head: "I don’t know either... I woke up, and suddenly appeared in this place, in this state... I just woke up a little before you!"

If soone could see his expression in the dark now, they would find him even more panic-stricken than Gao Xue’e. He didn’t dare to show any flaws and couldn’t tell Gao Xue’e too much, because there were bugs in the room, and the people outside had ways of hearing them.

Gao Xue’e suddenly said: "I rember, three months ago, sothing strange happened at my house, I even reported it to the police, but the police didn’t find anything... Could it be the work of the Hidden Moth?"

She finally recalled it. It seems President E is more stable and smarter than previously thought. He Kao feigned surprise: "What event?"

"A plate of apples turned into oranges... My God, is he a pervert watching bathe?" Gao Xue’e recounted the day she reported it to the police, but suddenly that last sentence left He Kao a bit bewildered.

After the exclamation and panic, Gao Xue’e fell silent for a mont and then asked shakily: "Xiao Kao, will we die?"

He Kao: "I don’t know, I hope soone can co to save us."

Gao Xue’e seed to talk to herself: "Who exactly is the Hidden Moth?"

He Kao’s speech sped up: "I don’t know! After hearing about this, I see everyone as the Hidden Moth, everyone seems suspicious, always being suspicious!"

Zhao Hai Zhen and others said they had gone out for a smoke, so much ti had passed, the cigarette should have been finished long ago, and their reluctance to co in clearly ant they had ulterior motives — to eavesdrop on what He Kao and Gao Xue’e would say.

Sotis forcing a direct interrogation may not yield satisfactory answers, but taking a different approach might make the other party actively provide clues.

Zhao Hai Zhen and his junior brother Liang Kai indeed have similar habits, not only illuminating people’s faces in the dark with flashlights but also creating opportunities for others to show flaws, while they hide and observe secretly.

At the end of the hallway near the main hall, Zhao Hai Zhen stepped on a cigarette butt and extinguished it: "This kid has a problem!"

Soone beside him said: "I didn’t find any flaw; what he said should be the truth, and it matches with the information we have."

Xiaotao agreed: "I also think his reactions don’t seem fake."

Zhao Hai Zhen: "The fact that there’s no flaw is the problem, I always feel his speech is too organized; it shouldn’t be that way under such circumstances.

Since Lin Qingshuang and Qian Guran have told him about the Magic Sect, he probably understands the power of the techniques. If he knows that Tier Three Sorcerers can master Divine Sense, he might also guess that we have a way to eavesdrop..."

Peng Xian: "So what do we do now?"

Zhao Hai Zhen: "Stop listening, proceed with Plan B!"

He Kao and Gao Xue’e were talking when the door suddenly opened and Zhao Hai Zhen and Xiaotao ca in again, followed by a sturdy-looking woman.

The woman carried a plastic bucket, suddenly ripped Gao Xue’e’s hood off, and poured a bucket of water on her head.

Gao Xue’e let out an exclamation, and then her hair was pulled up, her face tilting back as she started coughing, seemingly choked, but she suddenly stopped struggling, stutteringly said: "What are you, what are you going to do?"

The woman threw aside the plastic bucket, pulled out a flashlight with her left hand to shine on her face, and held a matte knife with her right hand, with the blade pressing against her cheek.

He Kao, in a hurry, said: "What are you doing, if you have any questions, ask , continue asking what you want..."

This ti Xiaotao didn’t beat him but eerily laughed: "Trying to be a hero to save the beauty, you better think about yourself... do you want soone to co save you both?"
