Now reading: Chapter 52 - 51: Shooting with Sword Control Technique, and from High Martial: I Use Everything as Swords, a Eastern novel by Who Gazes Afar Under the Moon.

Su Yue also turned her head.

Her eyes, behind her glasses, were filled with astonishnt.

In her eyes, and in the eyes of everyone present, how could soone who could pull off such a legendary maneuver not even have a plane of his own?

It just felt too contradictory.

"Then what did you use to practice before?"

Fan Jian’s curiosity was completely piqued.

"A rental."

Han Feng answered openly.

"I used to rent an Initial Training-3 from the Airplane Graveyard in the Outer City."

"Fifteen hundred Contribution Points an hour."

"That plane... was pretty sturdy."

"Pfft..."

Wang Qi, who was in the group, couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.

He then clamped a hand over his mouth under Fan Jian’s icy glare.

The area fell dead silent.

To fly an antique trainer that even a museum would turn its nose up at.

One that he rented by the hour, no less.

And yet, he’d developed piloting skills sufficient to crush the academy’s Gold Level aces.

If word of this got out, people would think it was a joke.

Fan Jian looked at Han Feng, feeling a headache coming on for the first ti.

The Sharp Sword Club was rich in resources, but expensive strategic assets like fighter jets were always provided by the students themselves.

The club had very few public-use fighters, and those were reserved for ergency missions.

"Without a plane, you can’t join a combat squadron."

Fan Jian stated bluntly, his voice cold and hard.

"The club can’t just approve a mainline fighter for a newcor."

"Not unless you can save up enough Contribution Points to buy one yourself in a short amount of ti."

"The cheapest second-hand Feiyan-7 costs three hundred and fifty thousand on the market."

Han Feng silently calculated the little over ten thousand Contribution Points he had in his account.

He shook his head honestly.

"I can’t afford that anyti soon."

The situation beca extrely awkward for a mont.

A budding ace pilot who could go down in the academy’s history books was being stopped dead at the threshold, all because he was poor.

"However..."

Fan Jian’s tone shifted, and his sharp eyes scanned Han Feng up and down again.

"Your file says you started out as a chanic?"

"You were a Core mber of Zhao Yu’s ’Falcon Third Generation’ engine project?"

"Yes. A C Level Technician."

Han Feng nodded, neither servile nor overbearing.

"That makes things easier."

Fan Jian swiped quickly across his tactical tablet a few tis.

"The club’s squads often encounter sudden chanical failures during long-term field missions."

"Especially after going deep into the Fog Areas."

"Since you don’t have a plane, we’ll give you a temporary position for now—chanic and backup Pilot."

At these words, the others around him were stunned.

A chanic?

Isn’t that just being a "nanny" who tags along behind the combat squads, in charge of fixing planes?

That kind of dirty work was usually left to the regular staff in the logistics departnt.

Making a monster who just set a legendary record of 7 minutes and 13 seconds do logistics?

Liu Cheng was the first to speak up. He took a step forward and said in a low voice,

"Vice President Fang, isn’t this a bit too..."

"Too what?"

Fan Jian shot him a cold glance.

"He doesn’t have a plane. Do you expect him to ram Demon Beasts with his body?"

"Or are you willing to lend him your ’Storm-2’ to fly?"

Liu Cheng instantly shut his mouth.

’You’ve got to be kidding. That Storm-2 is my pride and joy.’

’It’s my second life out in the wilderness. It’s not for loan, period.’

Seeing no further objections, Fan Jian looked at the group again and announced,

"The club is divided into four squads."

"Today is the day your final assignnts will be decided."

"Next, we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your abilities."

"Afterward, the squad leaders will personally select their mbers."

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and walked toward a separate testing area in the depths of the hangar.

"First up, a basic physical fitness test."

The full set of equipnt in the testing area was similar in function to what was in the academy’s public training hall.

But in terms of both precision and maximum load capacity, it was clearly several notches above.

"I’ll go first."

Liu Cheng, not one to back down, was the first to step forward.

He strode over to the punch force tester and stretched his muscles a bit.

His joints let out a series of sharp CRACKS.

"Hah!"

Liu Cheng let out a low shout, and the Inner Qi of a ridian Passage First Layer practitioner erupted from within him.

His muscles bulged as he threw a sudden, powerful punch!

"BANG!"

A deep, heavy thud echoed through the hangar.

The numbers on the machine’s screen jumped wildly before finally settling.

[2,250 kg]

"The strength of a ridian Passage Realm Martial Artist. Not bad."

Fan Jian comnted, his face devoid of expression.

In the subsequent tests for reaction speed, neural connection sync rate, and so on, Liu Cheng also demonstrated a level of skill far exceeding that of an ordinary B Level Student.

He truly lived up to his reputation as an elite from the Martial Arts Academy.

Su Yue and the other two also completed the tests one after another.

Their results were decent, in line with their status as B Level Elite Students.

"Han Feng."

Fan Jian called out.

Han Feng walked up and stood calmly before the punch force tester.

He didn’t gather his strength like Liu Cheng had.

He simply circulated the Qi Blood Power in his body according to the Sword Control Technique’s ntal thod.

’With a Cultivation at the Body Tempering Seventh Layer, plus the initial enhancent to my physical body from the Sword Bone... I’m also curious to know where my current limits really are.’

He didn’t let out any shout, just calmly swung his right fist.

"BOOM!"

An impact sound even heavier and more solid than Liu Cheng’s blasted in everyone’s ears!

All eyes instantly focused on the huge display screen.

[1,880 kg]

A collective gasp was heard throughout the hangar.

"One thousand eight hundred and eighty kilograms! Am I seeing things?!"

Wang Qi practically shrieked.

"That level of strength is almost on par with the senior students at the Peak of Body Tempering Tenth Layer!"

Liu Cheng’s pupils contracted violently, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

He himself was at the ridian Passage First Layer, having opened his ridians, and his strength was only just over two thousand two hundred kilograms.

This Han Feng’s file clearly stated he was only at the Body Tempering Seventh Layer.

How could he possibly unleash such terrifying strength?

Even Han Feng himself was a little surprised.

’I feel like I only used about eighty percent of my strength just now.’

’The physical enhancent from the Sword Control Technique is far more absurd than I ever imagined.’

"Next test."

Fan Jian’s voice was devoid of emotion as he simply moved the process along.

In the following tests, Han Feng’s results were just as jaw-dropping.

Reaction speed, dynamic vision, G-force tolerance simulation.

His scores in every category were a solid step above those of Su Yue, Wang Qi, and Zhou Yun.

In several areas, he was even closing in on Liu Cheng, who was in the ridian Passage Realm.

A Pilot at the Body Tempering Seventh Layer with the physical fitness of a full-ti Martial Artist at the Body Tempering Tenth Layer.

This completely defied the common sense of Martial Arts.

Su Yue habitually pushed up the glasses on the bridge of her nose.

She muttered to herself, her voice so low that only she could hear.

"Off-the-charts genetic optimization? Or so kind of unrecorded, naturally occurring abnormal bone structure?"

After the basic fitness test, Fan Jian led the group to an indoor firing range to the side.

"Second test: firearm proficiency."

On the range, several of the academy’s newest standard-issue Spiritual Energy Pistols and Rifles were neatly arranged.

"The rules are simple. A 100-ter stationary target, a 150-ter moving target, and a final simulated urban combat scenario."

"Fire at will. The system will automatically track your accuracy and kill-shot rate."

Liu Cheng and the others picked up their guns and began shooting.

As B Level Elite Students, they had all received systematic military training and were quite skilled with firearms.

Their results were impressive.

When it was Han Feng’s turn, he picked up a Spiritual Energy Pistol and weighed it in his hand.

A thought flashed through his mind.

’I wonder if the Sword Qi Attachnt I mastered back in the training room can be applied to bullets?’

He raised the gun and aid at the target one hundred ters away.

In the instant he pulled the trigger...

...a faint trace of Qi Blood Power flowed down his arm and silently attached itself to the Spiritual Energy Bullet about to leave the barrel.

"BANG!"

The bullet whizzed out.

One hundred ters away, the electronic bullseye at the very center of the target instantly exploded in a flash of light.

[Core hit. 10 points.]

Han Feng didn’t pause. His arm was steady as a rock as he pulled the trigger again and again.

"BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!"

The gunshots rang out in a continuous volley.

On the target in the distance, the bullseye kept exploding—all of them ten-point shots.

His precision was like a pre-written program, making the onlookers dizzy.

Next were the moving targets.

Han Feng switched to a Spiritual Energy Rifle.

Those targets moved at high speed on tracks, their paths completely erratic.

In his Extraordinary Perception, they seed to slow to a crawl.

He didn’t even need to use a strict three-point sight alignnt.

He was firing purely based on a profound, almost mystical, Intuition.

"BANG!"

After leaving the muzzle, the bullet, infused with Qi Blood Power...

...actually traced a minuscule arc through the air, almost imperceptible to the naked eye.

It was as if the bullet had a Will of its own, weaving around all the virtual obstacles.

It drilled with unerring accuracy right between the eyebrows of the first moving target!

"This guy..."

Liu Cheng’s eyelids twitched wildly as he watched.

His marksmanship was already considered top-tier at the Martial Arts Academy.

But compared to the skill Han Feng was demonstrating now, the difference was like that between the clouds and the mud.

They weren’t even on the sa level!

"Gun Fighting Technique?"

For the first ti, an extrely intense interest appeared in Su Yue’s eyes behind her glasses.

"No, there’s no energy fluctuation from an Inner Qi Release."

"The bullet’s muzzle velocity and spin haven’t changed at all..."

"How did he do it? Correcting the trajectory? That’s not scientific!"
