The black mist vanished after those words.
What… was that!?
It saved Miu and from Fenrir's fangs just as it was about to finish us.
Thanks to it, we're alive, but…
"What was that…?" Miu's trembling voice echoed my shock.
No wonder she's shaken. I'm rattled too.
That presence reminded of a man I once fought to the death. But he's dead. So what was that?
My mind's a blank. No answers.
"Who stopped Fenrir!?" Loki gaped, incredulous.
Then, a massive bolt of lightning struck Fenrir from the sky, halting it.
"Issei-kun! Miu-chan!" Akeno-san's voice.
"They won't get past us!" Barakiel added.
Akeno-san and Barakiel descended, fallen angel wings spread.
Akeno-san rushed to . "Such deep wounds! Hold on, I'll treat them!"
She took the Phoenix Tears from my hand, applying them. The near-fatal gashes closed instantly.
"Father!" Akeno-san called.
"I'll handle this! Take them to safety!" Barakiel, cloaked in lightning, ordered.
"No way! Even you can't face Fenrir alone! I'm fighting too!" I protested.
"Your body's wrecked from Loki and Fenrir's fangs. Rest," Barakiel insisted.
"But—!"
He placed a hand on my shoulder. "I can't beat Fenrir alone, but I can hold it until you recover. The others are almost done."
He pointed to the Occult Research Club, Vali's team, Tannin-ossan, and Rossweisse battling the child Fenrirs, clone Midgardsormrs, and Hel's monsters.
"Gaspar! Blind it! Koneko, disrupt its aura with senjutsu!" the president commanded.
Gaspar, fueled by my blood, turned into bats, swarming a child Fenrir's face. The blood vials I gave him were paying off.
"I'll stop it!" Gaspar's glowing eyes slowed the beast, though not completely.
Koneko seized the opening. "A move Issei-senpai taught !"
BOOM!
Her aura-charged fist struck, staggering the Fenrir. She'd disrupted its internal aura perfectly, just as I'd taught—hitting precise spots with optimal force.
The president didn't miss a beat. "Yuto, pin its legs! Xenovia, Irina, all-out attack! Reina, we'll clear the monsters!"
Kiba summoned countless holy-demonic swords, piercing the Fenrir's legs, then slashed it at blinding speed.
"Irina, now!" Xenovia called.
"Let's do this, Church duo!" Irina replied.
Xenovia's Durandal Cannon and Irina's light spears overwheld the defenseless Fenrir, blood spraying.
"Reina, take the left!" the president ordered.
"Got it!" Reina's extinction magic obliterated Hel's monsters, its destructive nature turning them to dust instantly.
Reina aid her dual pistols, rging them. Light converged at the barrel, forming a massive orb.
"Full Burst!" she shouted, unleashing it. The blast engulfed dozens of monsters.
Insane power!
anwhile, Tannin-ossan's flas engulfed clone Midgardsormrs, reducing them to ash.
"Keep it up!" Rossweisse followed with Norse magic, raining bullets that pierced the remaining clones and monsters. Worthy of Odin's guard!
"I'll heal everyone!" Asia sent healing auras to the injured, her face strained but unwavering, supporting us all.
Vali's team was dominating the other child Fenrir.
"Take that!" Biken battered it with his stretchable Ruyi Jingu Bang.
"Nyahaha! Keep it pinned!" Kuroka turned the ground to mud, trapping the Fenrir.
Arthur swung the holy king sword Collbrande, its blade radiating imnse aura, slicing both of the Fenrir's eyes.
"Next, its claws and fangs. Collbrande can carve even a child Fenrir, space and all," Arthur said, thodically stripping its weapons.
'AROOOO!'
The Fenrir howled in agony.
That's brutal, Arthur! His calm execution makes it scarier. I almost pity the beast!
"They're winning," Barakiel said. "Thanks to you cutting down most of Hel's monsters, we're nearly done. Only Loki, Hel, and Fenrir remain. But if you fall, we could lose it all."
He's right. Rushing in now risks everything. I need to regroup.
Still, leaving Barakiel alone…
"I won't die," he said. "I've finally reunited with Akeno. I can't die here. And I won't let you die either—you helped us move forward. I won't lose my benefactor."
"Barakiel-san…"
"Akeno, take them," he ordered.
"Yes. I'll join you soon," Akeno-san replied.
As she carried Miu and , Vali landed, his armor damaged but no major injuries.
"I agree Issei should retreat, but I'll handle Fenrir. Barakiel, take Loki," Vali said.
"You, alone, against Fenrir?" Barakiel asked, skeptical.
"I have a plan. If I draw Fenrir away, it's just Loki and Hel. Easier for you, right?"
True, Fenrir's their biggest threat. Removing it would tip the scales.
"How'll you pull it off?" I asked.
"I said I have a plan."
It hit . No way…
Loki laughed from above. "Face Fenrir alone? Foolish! If you can't beat , you can't win!"
"Don't underestimate the White Dragon Emperor."
BOOM!
Imnse aura erupted from Vali. His armor's gems glowed rainbow hues, the armor itself shining white.
He chanted powerfully:
"I awaken—"

A cursed voice, the resentnt of past White Dragon Emperors, echoed.
"—as the Two Heavenly Dragons, robbed of all by the principles of domination—"
'' ''
"—envying the infinite, yearning for the dream—"
'' ''
"—I master the path of the White Dragon's supremacy—"
A massive aura surged, and he spoke the final words:
"—and lead you to the pinnacle of purity!"
'Juggernaut Drive!!'
Vali's armor morphed, enveloping him like a living creature, repairing damage. Clad in radiant platinum, he was breathtaking.
What an aura. This is Juggernaut Drive.
Ddraig showed past records, but Vali's version—wielded by one called the strongest—feels otherworldly. My second form can't match it.
Seeing it live confirms it: this power is dangerous.
"Kuroka! Send and Fenrir to the designated point!" Vali shouted.
"Got it!" Kuroka aid, and a magic circle glowed beneath Vali and Fenrir. They vanished.
What the hell!? Was this his plan all along!?
Sure, he separated Fenrir from Loki, but… that's reckless!
Loki clicked his tongue. "White Dragon Emperor! Targeting Fenrir!?"
"Thanks to Vali Lucifer, their forces are weakened. I'll handle Loki. Akeno, you know what to do?" Barakiel said.
"Yes. Be careful, Father. I'll join soon," Akeno-san replied, taking Miu and to the rear.
Akeno-san brought us to Asia, at the backline.
"Issei-san! Miu-san! Are you okay!?" Asia rushed over, checking us.
The Phoenix Tears closed our wounds, but Fenrir's attack drained . Combined with Loki's earlier slash, I'm low on blood, dizzy but conscious.
"No pain. Wounds are closed," I said, patting Asia's head.
"I'm so glad you're okay…" she sniffled.
Okay's a stretch—my body's a ss.
"No ti to cry, Asia. The others are still fighting," I said.
The battle's not over. I shouldn't be resting. I need to help Barakiel take down Loki.
But my body won't move. Damn it!
"I'm going to Father. Asia-chan, take care of them," Akeno-san said, spreading her wings and flying off.
I need to recover fast!
Koneko appeared, checking . She placed a hand on my chest. "I'll stabilize your aura to ease the fatigue."
I felt my aura align. Blood loss dulled my senses, making self-adjustnt risky. Koneko's help was a lifesaver.
"Thanks, Koneko-chan. I feel lighter."
"I only eased the sensation. The fatigue's still there," she warned.
"I know."
"I don't want you to die, Issei-senpai. Don't push yourself."
She turned and returned to the fight.
I smirked. Don't push myself? Sorry, Koneko-chan, I can't promise that.
This is a battlefield. Everyone's fighting at their limits. I can't hold back.
I sighed and faced Miu. "Miu, I want to try sothing. Will you help?"
I'm betting everything on this.
[Kiba Side]
We were holding our own against one of the child Fenrirs Loki summoned.
"Haaa!" I maximized my knight speed, slashing the Fenrir with holy-demonic swords.
Its tough hide blocked so attacks, but accumulated damage made a difference. Blood sprayed from each cut.
"Xenovia, now!"
"Here we go! Durandal!" Xenovia's holy sword aura engulfed the Fenrir.
'Arooo…'
It whimpered weakly. That hit hard.
Vali's team was dominating, and Tannin-sama and Rossweisse overwheld the clone Midgardsormrs. The president and Reina were nearly done with Hel's monsters.
The real threats: Loki and Hel. Barakiel and Tiamat are holding them, but…
"Hahaha! Think a fallen angel can defeat ? Don't underestimate !" Loki taunted.
Barakiel dodged Laevateinn's slashes narrowly, his body covered in cuts and burns.
He's buying ti for Issei-kun, but we can't dawdle—Barakiel's in danger.
"Father!" Akeno-san, back from escorting Issei-kun, fired lightning at Loki.
Loki deflected it easily. Despite Akeno-san's growth, he brushed off her attack. Are gods just on another level?
"You're a fallen angel… no, I sense devil too. His daughter, reborn as a devil? No matter—one more makes no difference. I'll end you both," Loki said, deploying multiple large magic circles aid at them.
Dangerous!
Barakiel shielded Akeno-san. "Stay back, Akeno! I'll take it!"
"No! I won't leave you!" she cried.
They're both at risk!
A magic circle appeared in the sky, and a massive black dragon, radiating sinister aura, crashed down.
What's that!?
Loki paused, staring at it.
A voice ca through my earpiece. 'Is everyone safe?'
A man's voice. Everyone, still fighting, listened.
Reina reacted. "Shemhazai-sama, did you send that dragon?"
Shemhazai, Grigori's vice-governor, was handling Saji, according to Azazel-sensei.
'Yes. That dragon is Saji Genshirou.'
What!? That's Saji!?
'We combined all of Vritra's Sacred Gears for this. Vritra's soul was split into four gears after being carved apart. We rged them. It was theoretically impossible, but Saji briefly awakened Vritra's consciousness during his Rating Ga with Yuto Kiba. His fighting spirit triggered it. We bet on that, and it worked. We feared a rampage, but thanks to Issei-kun's training, that didn't happen.'
So Issei-kun's training paid off.
'Saji-kun, you're good?'
'Yes!' the black dragon replied.
The president spoke. "Saji-kun, it's Rias Gremory. Issei's heavily injured and recovering. Can you support Barakiel until he's back?"
'Got it!'
Saji unleashed black flas at Loki, coiling around him like bindings.
Loki struggled but couldn't extinguish them. "Vritra's cursed flas? They bind even gods. Annoying!"
'Even a god can't shake these off easily! I'll keep you pinned until Issei recovers!'
Loki's aura surged, glowing intensely. He still has this much power!?
The flas nearly vanished, but—
A massive lightning bolt pierced Loki, stopping him. Above, Akeno-san and Barakiel, wings spread, radiated lightning, visibly exhausted.
Loki glared, radiating killing intent. "Tch, ddling fallen angels."
He broke free of the flas and fired a magical barrage at Saji.
'GAAAH!'
The blast hit Saji, blowing him and the surroundings away.
I rushed to him. "Saji-kun! You okay!?"
'Y-Yeah… I can still fight!'
Saji stood, firing black flas at Loki, who dodged them all.
"Resilient, taking my attack and countering," Loki said, raising Laevateinn, its blade wreathed in flas hot enough to incinerate everything.
This is bad!
"I'm done with this. I'll kill Odin. You all die here!" Loki swung Laevateinn down—
"Lokiiiiiii!!"
Loki turned.
Issei-kun charged, gripping an enlarged Mjolnir.
