"Sos Cthulhu!"
Two ancient voices sounded simultaneously next to Shi Hui’s ears.
Vice Principal Ruoyu and the President of the Dark Council had left the Silver Serpent World at so unknown point, arriving at the Black Prison Battlefield, appearing on either side of the Five-Colored Lotus, looking together at that illusory world.
The Witch stood within the lotus, not turning back, still silently gazing at the phantom world reflected in midair, watching the figure of the monster slowly collapsing in the ocean.
Though the two elder Wizards called it by different nas, they both pointed to the sa being — ’Cthulhu’ or ’Sos Cthulhu’ — the true na of that gigantic monster in the illusory world.
In the Wizard World, He has a more widely known na, Cthulhu, a great being from the depths of the starry sky, possessing powerful authority in the sea and dreams, akin to Vice Principals of the First University, the Sea Demon King, and the Dark Councilor, all at the top tier of Legendary Wizard level.
However, for so reason, His figure appeared in the world deep within the Sea Demon King Xiang Liu’s evolution.
"Why is it appearing in Xiangliu’s world?"
"No, it’s not appearing... it’s collapsing along with that world!"
"rlin above!"
"What did the Sea Demon King do?!"
"It devoured that monster!"
The Dark Councilor gave his judgent hoarsely, and the pointed wizard hat on his head seed shocked by this conjecture, drooping down in a sowhat embarrassed manner as he widened his eyes, muttering, repeating, "It devoured that monster... it actually devoured that monster!"
Accompanied by the Dark Councilor’s raspy voice.
Accompanied by the collapse of that ’deep-sea world’.
In the illusory world, the bulky and obese monster squatting between sky and earth slowly disintegrated amidst an upward howl, its mottled shadow dissolving piece by piece like snowflakes eting sunlight.
Shi Hui could clearly see the monster with its head full of scattered tentacles, brandishing its claws and fangs, like a warrior with a bristling beard and hair, looking up with eyes filled with madness and anger.
But no matter how mad it was, it couldn’t halt the world from collapsing along with it.
Out of nowhere, a word erged in the Witch’s heart—
’Digest’
Almost at the sa ti as the Outer God shattered and was ’digested’, the Black Prison World, with the blood-red lightning that leaped out from behind the clouds, all dissipated, and even the thunder fell silent.
It seed as if the world too held its breath at that mont.
Shi Hui’s eyes narrowed as she raised her head.
In the night, there erged red five-pointed stars, silver hexagrams, golden many-pointed stars, blue round stars, blood-red scythe-like long stars, purple Gemini, and so on, one after another quietly hanging in the center of the sky like a myriad of silent eyes, overlooking the changes in the Black Prison World from above.
These were the cold, observing glances from beyond the Black Prison Battlefield, from the upper echelons of the Mage Alliance and Demons, from the depths of the starry sky, from places unknown.
The previously hovering silver moon and red sun faded under the starlight, turning into inconspicuous little dots hiding at the edge of the sky, almost indiscernible in shape.
The three Legendary Wizards also bowed their heads one after another, expressing their respect for those bright stars.
At this mont, at the place where the Sea Demon King’s world shadow collapsed, in the depths of the dead silent and dark void, faint, fragnted sounds erged.
Swish.
That’s the sound of waves lapping the river’s surface, blurred yet clear.
Swoosh.
A phantom long river flowed out from the distant ’nothingness’, winding and endless, flowing all the way to the Wizards, vast and magnificent, serene yet intense, the river surface shrouded in pearl-colored mist, with waters flowing in indescribable hues.
Those colors intertwined and collided, splashing waves glowing with endless dim light.
This is the River of Ti, also the River of Destiny.
It is the convergence of the will of all beings and reality, the reflection of the Dao, the manifestation of the dinsion, the shackles on every Wizard, and the ultimate redemption place of every soul.
The three Legends held their breath.
They suddenly discovered, at so point, they had already found themselves within that long river, its waters washing over their chests, passing through them invisibly and insubstantially.
Above the long river, those shining stars, one by one, seed to have been hanging there since ancient tis, untouched by the river water, and when the river passed by the stars’ shadows, slight distortions would appear.
Below the river was the entire Black Prison World—from Wizards guarding the ancient castle to Demons attacking it, from the sun and moon in the sky to the once rending small-world Dark Beast Leviathan—everyone subrged beneath the river, like beautiful pebbles.
The current flowed by, swirling around the pebbles, releasing strings of beautiful bubbles.
Swish...
Plop!
It’s like the sound of a stone dropping into a calm yet unfathomable deep pond, or a small fish leaping out of the water and breaking the air with a shout.
Under the simultaneous gaze of myriad stars and three Legends.
A faint yet extraordinarily distinct phosphorescence erged from the depths of the long river, at the end of the crumbling phantom world, ascending into the night sky.
Slowly and steadily.
A lodious hymn sounded in the void:
"Shedding the flesh of the womb,
Cleaning away the gri of the past.
A bright pearl reaches the other shore,
Dust cleansed, light born, the cocoon breaks anew..."
Accompanying the hymn, the phosphorescence rose faster and faster.
But the River of Ti and Destiny did not allow that phosphorescence to escape. It dragged with it a large amount of river water, strands and strands like a great net or rope, delaying its ascent.
Beyond the river, there were also entities unwilling for that phosphorescence to ascend into the sky.
A streak of red light descended from the red five-pointed star, seemingly attempting to knock down that phosphorescence. But imdiately, a streak of purple light swept out from the purple Gemini, wrapping around the red glow.
The river shivered under the pair’s aura, slightly shaking, the pretty ’pebbles’ at the river bottom struck by the surging dark current, rolling chaotically. In reality, this manifested as naless tempests suddenly appearing in the Black Prison World, the ground cracking, magic power going berserk, causing the clueless Wizards and Demons to vanish unknowingly in this world.
The red light swirled montarily, ultimately retreating.
The purple light also withdrew promptly, not continuing the chase.
And in the brief ti of their negotiation, that phosphorescence did not stagnate, still carrying that indomitable montum, ascending into the night sky.
Behind it, the river water originally trailing it, after ascending higher and higher, finally couldn’t grasp its silhouette, falling back into the river.
Plop.
Splattering a splash of water.
And the phosphorescence took this opportunity to steadily halt mid-air.
The three top-tier Legends witnessed all of this, their minds dazzled, speechless.
Although compared to those massive star eyes in the night sky, the phosphorescence was particularly faint, the three knew that from this mont, everything had changed.
Because that phosphorescence had already leapt out of the River of Ti and Destiny, fully achieving freedom.
