Chapter 1909: Chapter 130: Trivialities of Shadow Severing

Zheng Qing once heard soone ntion a theory.

The human brain receives a massive amount of information every mont, conducting nurous calculations. Every second, the brain is predicting countless possibilities for the future. But most of these overloaded calculations result in outcos that the brain cannot handle and are discarded, left in the corner of the mind as if they never happened. Occasionally, when reality coincides with a previously calculated result, the corresponding scene is retrieved from the depths of the mind and appears as if it had once occurred.

This is an explanation for deja vu.

For ordinary people, deja vu is a perplexing and fascinating phenonon. But for wizards, deja vu is an outstanding divination talent.

Zheng Qing does not possess this exceptional talent.

So, when he turned to walk downstairs, with a lively shadow in front of him and behind him a solemn and grand ceremony, he inexplicably felt a strong sense of deja vu, thinking he had experienced this scene before. His first thought wasn’t that his divination magic might have made another breakthrough, but rather he deeply suspected that a Bronze Dragon from the Black Prison battlefield had sneakily slipped into the school intending to cause a ruckus at the opening ceremony.

The warlock couldn’t help but glance back and then fell silent.

At the opening ceremony of the First University, there were not only young wizards who hadn’t completed their studies but also many powerful wizards known throughout the wizarding world; legends were definitely there, and even ancient ones might occasionally sneak a peek.

With such a lineup, not to ntion the Bronze Dragon that only gained a touch of legendary aura after fusion, not even the recently advanced Sea Demon King would gain any advantage.

Thinking of the Sea Demon King, Zheng Qing subconsciously touched his earlobe.

In his ear hole still hides the little snake transford from the vitality residue of the Great Demon before its advancent, helping to absorb the aura emanating from the forbidden curse seed deep in his soul.

It’s bad to talk behind others’ backs.

The young man settled down, withdrew his gaze, and walked back outside the First Hall. The deja vu re-erged, making him recall the huge cyan shadow coiled like a clock over the Black Prison battlefield.

In the Black Prison, the ti loop created by the Bronze Dragon left a profound impression on the young cost student—experiencing scenes both unfamiliar and seemingly known with each passing second, a strong sense of contradiction, even though several months have passed, even after patient and ticulous treatnt at the school hospital, the thought still gave Zheng Qing a sickening and annoying feeling.

Carrying this bewildered mindset, carrying the reality of sneaking away from the opening ceremony, the young cost student clenched the letter tightly in his palm.

The paper crane flew from the Two-Dinsional Evolution Laboratory.

The letter writer is Su Shijun, who conveyed to the boy in very concise language that she is now in the office and wants to cut the shadow if he cos right now; because on Saturdays and Sundays, she’s likely to be entangled with other matters and is unsure if she’ll be at school—by the way, she asked Zheng Qing to bring Poseidon as she wants to check the learning progress of the Little Fox over the past few days.

It wasn’t until he left the First Hall, returning to the familiar environnt of the academy, that the unease weighing on Zheng Qing’s mind quietly dissipated. The Little Fox in his arms was curled comfortably, its big tail drooping outside, flipping lazily, with eyes squinting, one ear upright, the other lay down, in a half-asleep and half-awake state.

It still thought Zheng Qing was going to send it back to the Pet Garden, so it was rushing to recharge its energy, ready to play wildly with its companions when it returned.

This little thing with a walnut-sized brain was completely unaware that all the animals in the Pet Garden had gone to attend the opening ceremony. If it goes back now, who will it play with, ghosts?

No, not even ghosts.

Perhaps those little ghosts wandering around the school are, at this mont, obediently standing in the First Hall watching the opening ceremony.

The warlock bypassed Lin Zhong Lake and entered the quiet Ring Mansion corridor—everyone had gone to attend the opening ceremony, and he didn’t see a single figure along the way; the surroundings were so quiet it creeped him out—the Little Fox slowly noticed sothing was wrong, the ear that was laying down quietly perked up.

Chirp chirp?

The Little Fox anxiously asked Zheng Qing.

“Oh, we’re going to the Two-Dinsional Evolution Laboratory, you just sleep peacefully, we’ll be there soon.” Zheng Qing comfortingly scratched Poseidon’s chin.

The fluffy big tail stopped flipping.

The Little Fox raised its head, straining to ponder that tongue-twisting na. For it, besides delicious food, Su Ya, and its friends in the Pet Garden, not many nas linger in its mind. But the na “Two-Dinsional Evolution Laboratory” makes it feel a sudden urge to pee.

Slowly, the Little Fox seed to forget the na that troubled it. The big tail resud wagging, left and right, leisurely. Both ears that were upright now lay down again, and this ti, both ears laid flat.

Zheng Qing caught sight of the Little Fox’s squinting eyes and slightly raised an eyebrow.

So well-behaved, unlike its usual deanor.

Buzz buzz.

The lanterns hung on both sides of the corridor lit up with a whisper, scattering sheets of milky white light. After the sun set, the light in the corridor dimd first, and Zheng Qing was just feeling it was a bit dark, pondering whether to release a few ‘Little Stars’.

He lifted his head, curiously observing those lanterns, guessing whether they contained Luminous Pearls, or a swarm of Fireflies, or perhaps a series of torches responsive to the magical fluctuations around.

Just as he raised his head, the Little Fox’s neck fur suddenly flared, ears stood straight, limbs tensed, and its fluffy big tail forcefully swung, wanting to dash out.

Unfortunately, its escape plan only reached the first step, the whole creature was still in mid-air when cruelly caught by a large hand clutching the top flower skin.

“You can’t run.” Zheng Qing chuckled at the Little Fox dangling in mid-air: “If you ran, I would die… just co along honestly with .”

The Little Fox chirped angrily, cursing the warlock’s betrayal while struggling hard under his grip, its big tail like a broom recklessly smacking the warlock’s face.

Zheng Qing leaned back to avoid the Little Fox’s tail, exerted a little force, and pulled it back into his arms.

“Now you know fear?” He tapped the Little Fox’s nose lightly, showing a hint of sympathy: “I’ve heard from Li ng that you spent the entire sumr trailing Su Ya everywhere… this is not right. At your age, you should play when it’s ti to play, but when it’s ti to study, you should study properly.”

As he said this, he glanced at the shadow reappearing at his feet due to the lighting, adding: “… This ti I’m going to the lab for sothing important; I need to make sure your mom is in a good mood, otherwise it might cut sothing that shouldn’t be cut… So behave, stop causing trouble.”

A gentle breeze flowed rrily through the corridor.

Carrying away the warlock’s gradually fading chatter, along with the Little Fox’s strained curses.
