Chapter 1991: Chapter 212: Cat Mask
“Talking about advantages and disadvantages now is too insubstantial.”
The Black Cat flicked its tail, not swayed by the Sin Bearer’s promises, but rather showing so concern: “You only talk about the benefits of reflecting seven tis a day, and completely avoid ntioning what consequences I might face if the Seven Sins do sothing that violates school regulations.”
The masked Wizard consoled the Black Cat: “Don’t worry, I’ve been in the Seven Sins for so long, always safe and sound.”
“That’s easy to say.”
The Black Cat scoffed: “So people spend four years in college without a scratch, while others are not even in school for a year and have already died more than once…”
“Who died more than once?” The Wizard seed intrigued by the Black Cat’s example.
“That’s not the point!”
The Black Cat lifted its whiskers, raised its voice slightly, and interrupted: “The point is after you leave, I’m the one who gets punished, not you… Just thinking about one day having to stay in an empty office, biting the feather pen’s tail, and trying hard to describe how a freak with a white mask forced to do things harmful to the school…”
“Freak?” The Sin Bearer spread his arms and replied in an exaggerated tone: “rlin Above, do you really have to use that word?”
“You could also call it Black Wizard.” The Black Cat agreed without argunt.
“If you must say it that way,” the Sin Bearer tilted his head: “As the saying goes, if your mind is full of shit, then everything you see is shit. Your perspective does nothing more than prove your dark inclinations.”
“You could tell your true identity, that way you can prove you’re not a Black Wizard.”
“In the Seven Sins, no one knows if the face under the mask belongs to a dog. We discussed this the first ti we t.”
“A dog wouldn’t be so kind to a cat… So, are you a student or a teacher?”
“I’ve said it before, no one will reveal their identity!”
“…Or are you a researcher from so institute?”
“I’ve said it before…”
“Do you know Lucifer? How do I know you’re not just pranking ?”
“When I repeat ‘I’ve said it before,’ what are you thinking in your mind? Is it still that pile of shit? Can’t you think of a more logical concept?” The Sin Bearer was a bit agitated: “Today isn’t the ti for ‘Wrath’ to assess you… I feel ‘Wrath’ wouldn’t last a minute under your approach and would explode on the spot.”
“Thank you for the complint.” The Black Cat chuckled dryly twice.
During the conversation, the masked Wizard, leading the masked cat, circled around the small woods and found themselves back behind the Cat Fruit Tree.
When the Black Cat saw the familiar crown of the Cat Fruit Tree from afar, the whole cat felt sowhat uneasy.
“What are we doing?” The Black Cat blocked the Wizard’s path and grew a size larger, causing the mask on its face to slightly fail to cover its features.
The Sin Bearer looked worriedly at the mask.
“Didn’t we just discuss this?” He looked at the distant Cat Fruit Tree with so distraction: “We’re just taking a walk… Staying in one place for too long is dull.”
“Just taking a walk?” The Black Cat was sowhat dissatisfied and pursued the question further.
It had always thought that during the walk, the Seven Sins’ witch codenad ‘Leviathan’ would jump out from behind so bush to test it—whether through spells or brain teasers, the Black Cat was fully prepared—the only unexpected thing was that the journey was uneventful, without encountering a single hunting owl.
This gave it the sensation of scratching into a cotton ball with its paw.
“Just wandering around.” The Sin Bearer tilted his head, looking at the Black Cat, seemingly delighted with its frantic deanor: “Do you have anything else you want to do?”
Then, his tone revealed a hint of sudden realization: “Want to relieve yourself? You don’t need to report such matters to , after all, you’re a cat, just find a quiet corner and lift your leg.”
At these words, the Black Cat flared up in anger, imdiately lifted its hind leg, and with a ‘hiss’, a crystalline stream of water splashed onto the Wizard’s shoes, also moistening the hem of his robe.
“Hey, hey! Don’t go too far!” The Wizard jumped up and shouted: “Don’t think just because you’re a cat, I can’t deal with you!”
Silent, the Black Cat grew another size larger.
This ti, its figure was nearly as large as a Siberian tiger—originally, the white mask could cover its whole face, but now it only covered its nose tip, rocking from the Black Cat’s heavy breathing like dry leaves dangling from a tree branch.
The enormous size brought imnse pressure, and the frantic Wizard decisively quieted down, silently pulling a standard-issue law book from his sleeve, flipping to the middle pages, clearing his throat, and reciting a spell written there:
“Water to Solve Your Worries, purify and cleanse!”
“Blazing sunrise, gentle valley breeze!”
A clear spring joyfully surged from the void, washing over the Wizard’s shoes and robe hem, creating a layer of fine foam; shortly afterwards, warm wind circled the Wizard’s robe hem, drying the wet hem and shoes.
The Black Cat stared in astonishnt at this scene.
“Water to Solve Your Worries can be used like this?” It reverted to its petite form, staring at the robe hem gently swaying with the warm breeze, speaking with curiosity.
As if the dark patches on the robe had nothing to do with it.
It had reason to be surprised because ‘Water to Solve Your Worries’ was a clear spring spell commonly used to extinguish Firestorm Curse; and cleansing was often used by Wizards to wash their faces—two completely unrelated spells.
“Heh-heh.”
The Sin Bearer looked at the nonchalant Black Cat, eager to flip a few more pages in the law book and throw so nasty curses its way, but considering tonight’s main event, he gritted his teeth and abandoned the thought, only coldly snorted twice, reluctantly explaining: “Just a little technique in Composite Curse… If you join the Seven Sins, you’ll have as many techniques as you need… Oh? That little white cat on the tree is so pretty!”
He had reached the Cat Fruit Tree with the Black Cat.
The Black Cat disregarded the Wizard’s exclamations, instead looking up at the Little White Cat playing with two gemstones atop the tree, its eyes flashing with delight.
In the next mont, the delight faded, turning into astonishnt.
By the Little White Cat was a lavishly furred, handso-looking Ragdoll cat, quietly gazing at the round moon in the sky.
The Black Cat noticed that when the Little White Cat looked at the Ragdoll Cat, its eyes shone brightly, causing a slight unease in its heart and a few unpleasant thoughts to cross its mind.
Focused entirely on the Little White Cat, the Black Cat failed to notice the tall figure appearing beside the Sin Bearer, also wearing a mask, albeit a Cat Mask.
