Nicholas floated in mid-air, looking down at the chaotic ogre tribe below and the ferocious two-headed ogre leader, slightly furrowing her brows.

In her fingers, she was spinning a jade pendant the size of a copper coin, hesitating whether to crush it.

During the three days of the winter hunting competition, the only job of the instructors was to look after the young wizards participating, to prevent them from being distracted and to ensure they wouldn’t accidentally be discovered by the students. The First University provided each instructor with a temporary special spatial dinsion—an inappropriate analogy might be that this spatial dinsion is like a small bubble in the ocean, tiny and fragile, yet carving out a small independent space in the vast ocean. To be fair, during the three days of the winter hunt, instructors had to stay in this small dinsion, only able to observe the outside world through a magical lens on the ’bubble’.

The limitation here was that they could only observe, not intervene or communicate with the outside world.

Of course, if they wished to help their students, they just needed to crush the jade pendant in their hands, the bubble would shatter, bringing them back to reality.

Correspondingly, the score of the hunting team receiving the instructor’s help would imdiately decrease significantly.

Even though Nicholas had never attended college, she had a good relationship with Korma and Li ng, so she naturally understood the importance of credits through exposure. Therefore, faced with the rather difficult situation of the fringe hunting team’s young wizards, she was sowhat conflicted.

"Zap! (Smash)"

Accompanied by the low roar of the two-headed ogre’s aged head, several cold flashes shot towards the young wizards, landing on several tall, illusory earthy yellow boulders, turning into darts that shattered them.

"Restricting South Mountain, Maintaining Rock-like Firmness!"

Almost instantly, Liu Fei Fei unleashed a series of guarding spells, conjuring new stones of the South Mountain, blocking the frenzied two-headed ogre’s wolf fang club.

"Ge Zhitianxi!"

"I’m a Dark Yellow Horse!"

"Walk Hesitant, Drunk at the Center!"

Nicholas, Carn, and Lin Yan all cast interference spells, trying to stop the ogre’s aged head from continuing to use shaman magic.

At the sa ti, Iseni dragged a heavy wooden club, striding towards the two-headed ogre, the two massive and strong bodies collided, the heavy impact almost tearing the air, making the forest shudder.

Realizing that it was hard to defeat this well-coordinated hunting team alone in a short ti, the two-headed ogre imdiately changed its strategy, the aged head raised high, casting a bloodthirsty war spell onto the ordinary ogres rushing towards them:

"ORGE! (Fury)"

Pale red spell light shot out like lightning, turning into bright red rings, landing at the feet of those ordinary ogres, making their already crazed aura fully ignite. Chaotic howls engulfed everything, reddened eyes, hideous faces, and fangs drooling dirty saliva, like demons breaking through the gates of hell.

"Wait a mont."

Nicholas murmured, comforting herself, spinning the jade pendant faster between her fingers, a hint of red on her forehead glowing slightly, indicating her tense mood: "As long as nothing unexpected happens..."

Before she finished speaking, a few more howls ca from outside the woods.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Footsteps heavy as giants’ stood out amidst the chaotic howling. The fringe hunting team’s instructor suddenly opened her eyes wide, seeing outside the woods, three more two-headed ogres had appeared unexpectedly, approaching the small hunting team from three directions.

"This is murder!"

Believing herself to be well-inford and not easily losing composure, the great Nicholas jumped and cursed in the narrow ’bubble’: "I will protest! I will complain! This is definitely against "The Code"! Five against so many monsters, why not just pickle them and throw them into the ogre’s iron pot?!"

In her curses, she decisively crushed the jade pendant.

Bang!

The sound as minute as a soap bubble popping echoed in everyone’s ears, and in the next second, Nicholas’s tall figure appeared in mid-air, her gold-red cloak billowing high in the cold wind, like a flag.

"Min Tianjiwei, Cover the Ground!"

"Great Wind Has a Path, Both Break and Cut(zhuo)!"

"Gather Weapons, Gather Bows and Arrows!"

A ’Heavenly Punishnt Curse’, a ’Great Wind Blade’, a ’Disarm Spell’, Nicholas, with her superb magic skills, cast these three spells almost simultaneously, throwing them down together with her full fury at the chaotic ogres below.

Her appearance left the young wizards of the fringe hunting team both despondent and exhilarated.

Despondent because the instructor’s presence ant their winter hunt gains would be far below expectations; exhilarated because with the instructor’s intervention, the ogres below were but clay chickens and pottery dogs—During the school hunting party, Nicholas’s power in Dreamland had left a profound impression on these young wizards.

Amidst their mixed feelings.

Shush! Shush!

Crisp and continuous sounds suddenly rose from all directions, like countless early-rising birds frolicking among the treetops, mixed with the screeching sensation of iron threads scraping glass.

Nicholas suddenly raised his head and saw an astonishing scene.

Hundreds of green chains shot out from the treetops all around, fast as lightning, like dragons swimming, rubbing against and colliding with each other, quickly weaving an enormous net covering the sky and earth, tightly binding their instructor in mid-air.

Having just fully exerted three spells, Nicholas had no ti to regain her energy before these sudden chains immobilized her completely.

"Trap!"

This was the first word that ca to Nicholas’s mind, almost simultaneously, several thoughts raced across his mind: "We are bait! Their target is the teacher! The demon’s chains...we are both captives and accomplices!"

Although he realized quickly, it was ultimately too late.

He watched helplessly as over a dozen spell lights shot out from the five tree tops, targeting the fringe hunting team’s location; seeing Fifi’s shocked expression, Carn’s knowing look, and the fishman’s muscles bulging, their body though moved as if mired in glue, struggling with each movent.

"Sleep Without Hearing!"

"Sleep Without Perception!"

"Sleep Without Wisdom!"

"Insects Buzz, Sharing Sweet Dreams with You!"

A dozen sleeping spells attacking from all directions almost simultaneously landed on these young wizards, Nicholas strained to keep his eyes open, the corner of his eye just caught a figure wearing a raven mask leaping down from the treetops not far away, sharply questioning:

"Why launch early? We should have waited until they all fell asleep! This is not in line with the previous agreent..."

He could no longer hold on, his eyelids drooped, and he fell into a deep sleep.
