Chapter 2214: Chapter 435: Out of Control

Gan Ning didn’t make any comnts.

Because reality had answered the young public student’s uncertainty with intense feedback.

After the gunshot.

Only a second passed—or maybe not even a second.

Sharp and brief howling echoed all around, accompanied by these howls, the indeterminate shakuhachi players encircling the mutated ogre were extinguished like candle flas blown out by a fierce gale. Just as thousands of birds’ restless and piercing calls vanished, the clamor receded, leaving a chilling silence.

Yes, extinguished.

Zheng Qing clearly envisioned this notion in his mind—the shapeshifting musicians had been completely annihilated. This thought was filled with a subjective certainty, just like the thought he felt deep inside when he fired the shot.

“How did you manage to do that?”

A pale blue face eagerly erged from the back of Father Bo’s Giant’s hand—this ti it was Doctor Xiao’s face—so strands of hair deftly adjusted the glasses for him: “You didn’t use the Blood Symbol Bullet?!… I think this piece of information is crucial for to further deduce the battlefield situation!”

The strange, elongated roar interrupted the team diviner of the Absolution Hunting Team’s inquiry.

The gazes of several spectators fixed on the forest monster.

As the gray-white shapeshifters dissipated, the monster crouching in the center of the battlefield first seed to notice the few tiny bugs beside it, the nurous ogre heads encircling its neck opened their eyes, revealing dark yellow, muddy pupils, coldly observing the young wizards.

Then they opened their mouths, seemingly shouting many different nas simultaneously, but those nas tangled and fought within its voice, most ultimately fading into oblivion.

Only a word without a beginning or end remained relatively clear:

“…Great!!!…”

This word seed to hold trendous magical power, causing the air to shiver in its voice, the monster in the forest had wax-like skin flowing out radiant golden and silver runes, then breaking one by one. Zheng Qing could clearly feel two strange, imnse forces being released, interwoven unrestrictedly, jointly composing a frenzied symphony within this mutated body.

“That’s why I said, using the power of the starry sky to neutralize demon forces is a madman’s idea.”

In the ear canal, the little green snake noisily jabbered again, clearly expressing satisfaction with today’s ‘stage play’: “A fragile soul tempted simultaneously by demon and starry sky, only an ogre, inherently chaotic-brained, endowed with a dual-head talent of magic creatures can accommodate such terrifying soul noise… Even then, when the string maintaining the soul’s clarity snaps, the only consequence is collapse… From inside out, from flesh to soul, utterly out of control…”

Zheng Qing couldn’t afford to decipher what the little green snake ant by ‘out of control’.

In the sa mont those golden and silver runes shattered, he suddenly felt an intense heart palpitation.

Before he regained his senses, he heard exclamations beside him, followed by familiar yet scattered magical fluctuations. Quickly using the corner of his eye, he astonishingly noticed the solid figure of Father Bo’s Giant beside him flashing with dim, shifting pale blue halos, then shattering right in his sight.

Bang!

Like a water-filled glass bottle falling from a table onto the floor, producing a crisp yet muffled sound. Six figures were awkwardly rolled out from the shattered blue light—

The second-rank Father Bo battle array of the Absolution Hunting Team lost control!

“Ge Zhitianxi!”

The young public student reacted almost imdiately, shouting, and cast a Binding Spell. Tens of slender vines sprang up from the void, interweaving into a soft green blanket under the sole witch.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Several other warlocks fell in succession to the ground.

“Thank you.”

Jiang Yu gracefully landed, her face slightly flushed, her aura still sowhat unstable, she softly thanked the warlock while accepting the magic potion handed over by him.

“The new soothing agent from Fizel Elixir, using alpine edelweiss, can rapidly stabilize volatile magic power and alleviate emotional fluctuations.” Zheng Qing quickly explained, watching as the witch quietly drank the potion, then rembered his four team mbers: “…How are you all?”

“Sorry, we’re still alive.” Xin Fat Man wiped the residue of the magic potion from the corner of his mouth, casually teased.

Zheng Qing awkwardly coughed.

The magical zoology teacher standing silently nearby wore a strange expression as he watched the scene unfold.

He looked at Jiang Yu, then at Zheng Qing, and finally lifted his gaze to the still mighty Upper House mber hovering in mid-air, inexplicably, he suddenly felt weary.

Is this what it feels like to be old?

The thought passed through the young teacher’s mind.

“…Great!!!…”

The strange, elongated roar echoed once more, this ti, as not only the array lost control, the amulets on the young wizards broke apart consecutively, a cold magic power laden with chaos and darkness was wantonly spreading.

The forest monster’s body surged in size again.

Simultaneously, those small flesh tendrils protruding like snail antennae on its body proliferated uncontrollably, arms that originally had form-mimicking features quickly transford into dozens, varying in length and thickness, appearance also varied greatly, so arms donned with scale armor, so arms bore long hair, and so arms had not fully developed tissues, with chunks of bare bones and tangled dark green veins.

Several arms branched out like tree limbs—as if the arm reaching for the young wizards of the Absolution Hunting Team—at the mont of striking, was only one arm, but appearing above the young wizards, the five fingers had already developed into five new arms, seemingly these five new arms’ fingers also possessed further developntal potential.

Even worse, these ‘arms’ were not alone, varied colored eyes spread around their palms, backs, even fingertips, a multitude of twisted lips slashed open around the eyes, revealing sharp, jagged teeth and viscous murky saliva.

Those mouths not only emitted strange whimpers but could crawl around like they had legs on the arms.

“What kind of monster is this!”

Xin Fat Man smashed one of the arms with an Exploding Spell, then watched in astonishnt as the ‘flesh’, ‘eyes’, and ‘mouth’ belonging to that arm absorbed into other arms, he shouted without grace, “We need to leave here! Now!”
