Back then, he sat in the audience, facing the exam paper, earnestly morized over twelve hundred basic runes, which once shook the entire First University. Thinking back now, that must have been the first ti his na appeared in the public eye.
Today, however, he sat on the podium, holding a teacup, smiling as he looked around at the preparatory students of Edge Academy working hard on their exam papers.
Indeed, being a teacher is much more comfortable than being a student—and as a proctor, he found it much easier than when Zhang Huaigu monitored him back then.

Its admission into Edge Academy didn’t surprise Zheng Qing.
The identity of Fishn at First University is very delicate. To say they are part of the school, no young Fishman ever enters First University to study; to say they aren’t, yet old Fishn can serve as professors at First University, and young Fishn can participate in First University’s Hunting Competition.
In a sense, they are even more aptly considered ’First University outsiders’ than the Northern District Wizards.
In the face of the angry stares from other wizards in the exam hall, Iseni seed unconcerned, raising a hand to blow its nose and carelessly flinging the snot to the side, completely ignoring the red robe beside it turning pale with anger.

Zheng Qing was montarily stunned by this sudden accusation, and after a mont, he ca to his senses, quickly opened his law book, cast ’Yu Yan Qi Qi’, and watched a hint of moist air fall on Iseni before cautiously looking at the parrot, politely asking: "Is this... alright?"
This three-headed Persian parrot is the ’Honorary Chairperson’ of the First University student council, having served many terms. When Zheng Qing joined the student council recruitnt during his freshman year, he had already seen it. Many freshn like to gather around it after class, listening to it tell old tales, and it was quite popular.
Thus, after Edge Academy was established, this old parrot was also invited to concurrently serve as the ’Honorary Chairperson of Student Council’ of Edge Academy—of course, it wasn’t required to attend classes like formal students—there’s an ’unnad source’ from Beta Town Post that claims Korma had a good relationship with this parrot when they were in the student council, so this appointnt was an example of abuse of power for personal gain.
In short, considering the parrot’s rich experience and seniority, Thomas suggested to Zheng Qing beforehand that it wouldn’t hurt to be respectful to it.
"Hmm, acceptable."
After hearing the young wizard’s question, the three-headed parrot retracted its wings and reluctantly nodded, then strutted around Zheng Qing’s lectern with a smug gait.
Zheng Qing smiled slightly and refocused his gaze back to the classroom.
Apart from the Northern District Wizards, Fishn, Horse-Man, and the large parrot, the classroom also gathered many ’outsiders’ of the Alliance and this island.
For example, the small, blond, slender warlock sitting in the second row of the classroom nad PusteKov is the brother of the campus worker Alyosha. His abilities weren’t enough to enter First University, but due to health concerns, Alyosha was reluctant to let him travel alone to Miskatonic University. While hesitating, he unexpectedly received an admission notice from Edge Academy.
The reason for ntioning him is that Zheng Qing is quite impressed by this young warlock—his brother Alyosha is responsible for managing the search dogs in the School Works Committee. Occasionally, during the Atonent Hunting Team’s evening training, one can see the brothers driving a large group of dogs through the woods energetically, which is quite attention-catching.
And for those hybrid giants sitting in the last row of the classroom alongside Iseni.
In fact, Zheng Qing heard from Xin Fat Man’s gossip editing room that the school originally wanted to recruit a few true giant students to join Edge Academy. But after a few young giants dismantled half of the Edge Academy camp tents one night, Korma and Professor Montreya wisely abandoned their unrealistic ideas and settled for inviting a few more temperate half-giants.
In contrast, hybrid Werewolves, Hybrid Vampires, Giant Dragons, Fairies, and Unicorns.
Due to their poor talent and flawed bloodlines, hybrid Werewolves and Hybrid Vampires had a tough ti in the Moon Council and First University, and the establishnt of Edge Academy offered them a brand-new choice.
But perhaps due to caution and respect for the Moon Council, or fearing that those with ’relatively outstanding’ talents among the Werewolves and Vampires might dominate the academy, or worrying about their self-control during full moon nights, regardless, Edge Academy’s new leadership tactfully declined those flying in like snowflake applications, temporarily maintaining a semblance of ’purity’ for this new academy.
And the refusal of applications from Giant Dragons, Fairies, and Unicorns was more grounded in ’racial considerations.’
After all, the First University is a university for wizards, not for all intelligent beings. Admitting so human-like beings is already the limit for this new academy. If today dragons were to be accepted, then how would the wizards’ dragon hunting grounds and nurous dragon materials for trade be perceived, it would undoubtedly beco a new problem for the Alliance.
Edge Academy already has enough troubles.
Besides, Zheng Qing also heard a humorous story. It is said that after the establishnt of the new academy, Edge Academy received so enrollnt applications from the Land of Desolation. First University cheerfully accepted those applications and provided generous scholarships to the applicants. However, after the start of the academic term, not a single Fallen Wizard honestly ca to register for the school, which left the school quite disappointed.
