297: Chapter 221 Finally Quiet_1 297: Chapter 221 Finally Quiet_1 As expected.

After hitting three walls in a row, bumping into two doors, and being passed through by a ghost, Zheng Qing finally arrived alive at the large ward on the first floor.

The ward was very spacious, the room was octagonal, with a large bed in front of each wall.

Pure white curtains fell from the ceiling, shielding these beds solidly.

The curtains were filled with talismans drawn with golden lines for noise reduction and dust expulsion, keeping the ward in a quiet and clean environnt at all tis.

Perhaps because it was already late, there was no human figure in the ward, only the small elves who were silently flapping their wings, skillfully shuttling between different curtains, delivering dicine and water to the patients with trays in their hands.

A lotus chandelier hung from the ceiling in the center of the room, its five lotus leaves extending elegantly in all directions, casting a light, milky-white halo that maintained this peaceful world in a low light environnt at all tis.

Zheng Qing didn’t know if such an environnt was beneficial to the patients.

But this limited light greatly helped the two young wizards.

At least they didn’t have to fumble in the dark to push Zheng Qing onto the bed.

It wasn’t until they pulled the levitating scholarship student into an empty bed and pulled down the white curtains that the two ‘child laborers’ breathed a sigh of relief.

“Rember to treat to a al when you get better,” Li ng wiped the nonexistent sweat from her forehead, nodded with satisfaction, and added, “Any restaurant in Beta Town will do, as long as it’s not the Wandering Bar.”

Zheng Qing sniffled, and a small candy shop on the pedestrian street ca to mind.

“I’m really sorry!” Lin Guo, with his schoolbag in his arms, bowed deeply to Zheng Qing, who was lying on the bed, “I only noticed the rag flailing around the corner, and didn’t see the ghost coming out of the wall…

I let it pass through you, I’m really sorry!”

“It’s nothing…it’s actually a rare experience.” Zheng Qing quickly waved his hand and pulled the young wizard up, “I’m actually fine now.

I would rather go back to the dormitory to sleep tonight if it weren’t for the doctor’s orders.”

“You transported him from the third floor without charging an extra fee, why are you apologizing!” Li ng pulled at the corner of Lin Guo’s robe and complained discontentedly, “By doing so, aren’t you making seem rude…”

Zheng Qing stared blankly at the small witch beside him without saying a word.

“What’re you looking at!” Li ng shouted in sowhat embarrassed anger, “Want to pull Yelena over for you so you can get a good look!”

“Much appreciated.” Zheng Qing answered quickly, then asked before the little witch could react, “It’s quite late now…

I thought visiting hours were over…

Don’t you need to rest?”

Li ng was taken aback, paused for a mont, and then hesitantly nodded, “Yes…it’s late.”

“What ti is it now?” Zheng Qing asked imdiately.

Li ng blinked and looked at Lin Guo.

The young wizard pulled out a brass clock from his bag, took a look, and handed it to Zheng Qing.

Eight-thirty in the evening.

Behind the hands, in the misty background, a golden crescent moon had already revealed its hazy figure, and the twinkling stars, the size of pinpoints, looked particularly bright.

“Nice watch.” “So, it’s past visiting hours at the hospital now…

If I rember correctly, the school hospital only allows visits between nine in the morning and six in the evening.” Zheng Qing praised, lifting his head to look at the two young wizards.

“Because we are cute!” Li ng lifted her chin proudly.

“Boys shouldn’t be described as cute…” Lin Guo murmured quietly, but also shyly smiled.

“…What does this have to do with you two still being in the school hospital?” Zheng Qing felt it must be a lingering effect of his previous headache, he was completely unable to understand what the two young children were trying to express.

“Being this cute, do you have the heart to kick us out?” Li ng preached with an irresistible air.

“Sister Jiang Yu said, this is called the healing system…

it’s good for patients, the head nurse kindly let us stay a little longer.” Lin Guo explained, “Normally, Mrs.

Bella wouldn’t allow us to stay this late.”

Zheng Qing strained a smile without comnting on Jiang Yu’s remarks.

“I think Mrs.

Bella must regret her previous act of kindness…” he murmured quietly.

Li ng’s eyes widened in surprise.

But just as she opened her mouth to speak, another voice interrupted.

“I certainly do regret it,” the curtains were drawn to reveal Mrs.

Bella, whose tall figure almost blocked half of the bed.

She glared at the two little wizards, her voice brusque, “Who tied the mop on the second floor to the fire hydrant with a binding spell!”

Lin Guo hesitated before shaking his head.

Li ng quietly sneaked a glance at the head nurse, her little leather shoes tapping nervously as she shuffled her feet against the leg of a cabinet behind her.

“Why would you do such a thing!” Mrs.

Bella took a deep breath.

“The mop kept bouncing around non-stop…never resting,” Li ng murmured, “We got splashed all over when we were going downstairs.”

“Splendid binding spell!” Old Yao, standing behind the head nurse, gave the little spiritual wizard a thumbs up.

“Is this your point?!” Mrs.

Bella’s voice suddenly rose by several degrees.

“Ahem, indeed, such behavior is reprehensible.” Professor Yao coughed lightly and imdiately switched sides, shooting a glance at the head nurse and proposing, “How about they help clean with the mop as punishnt tomorrow?”

“They are your students…

you deal with them.” The head nurse turned and ripped off the ssy talisman papers on Zheng Qing’s body, then issued an order, “Now, I want all unrelated personnel to leave the school hospital imdiately!”

Jiang Yu, standing by the curtain, watched Zheng Qing grimacing helplessly, and ended up grinning as he dragged the two little wizards out of the ward.

“Well, young people are prone to impulsive actions.” Old Yao casually pulled a chair over and sat down, then pulled out a stack of docunts from his pocket and tossed it on Zheng Qing’s bed.

Mrs.

Bella watched him in astonishnt.

Old Yao nonchalantly took out his gold-rimd spectacles, placed them on his nose, and opened the docunts page by page under the dim light above his head.

“You go ahead…

I’ll have a chat with him a bit longer.” Old Yao waved his hand, speaking casually, “He’s in good hands with here…”

“Did you not understand what I said?” Mrs.

Bella’s nostrils were flaring, her breath ragged, she growled, “All non-related personnel, leave the school hospital imdiately!”

Old Yao’s hand, which was adjusting his glasses, froze briefly on his cheek.

He then quietly gestured a helpless face at Zheng Qing.

Zheng Qing squinted his eyes, trying hard to suppress his laughter.

“Hmm?” The head nurse rolled up her sleeves and huffed heavily.

“I’ll co back to ask again tomorrow morning then.” Old Yao scooped up the docunts on the bed, quickly made his escape, and vanished from the quiet ward in the blink of an eye.

Zheng Qing never realized he could move so quickly.

“And that goes for you too!” Mrs.

Bella turned to Zheng Qing and admonished, “No talking, go to sleep imdiately!”

Zheng Qing imdiately pulled the blanket up to his chin, obediently closed his eyes, and began counting stars in his head.

The sound of the curtain being drawn and the head nurse’s heavy footsteps gradually fading away reached his ears.

Then he felt a tickle in his ear.

He cracked open an eye and saw a bunch of little elves wearing white uniforms, huddled together and playfully wrestling quietly near his ear.

“Shh…” He puckered his lips and softly blew a breath of air upwards.

The little elves instantly settled down, lining up and lying down on the edge of his pillow.

One, two, three.

As Zheng Qing counted, he quickly drifted into his dreams.
