336: Chapter 5: Ant Continent_1 336: Chapter 5: Ant Continent_1 “…..
Within the Aoshi spaceti theory system, starting from the Seeger chanism, within a certain spaceti range, the intensity of the active individual is inversely proportional to the lifespan of this spaceti…”
“This theorem involves the spells including….”
“…In this local derivation, we can use Li-Mac expansion, with a polynomial, to approximately replace so of the complex functions therein…”
“…When the T value is 0, we can get the Laue formula with the Pelin term…”
“…Converge this conclusion and get an approximate H valid solution…”
“…”
Professor Yao stands on the podium, holding his pipe and talking eloquently.
On the wall behind him, within the large blackboard, chalk writings of different colors crisscross, listing dense formulas and derivations.
Moreover, these spells continue to extend and expand with Old Yao’s explanations.
Everyone, including the top-ranked students, chief students, and even the sophomores and juniors, stared blankly at the blackboard, listening to the analysis and explanation that seed like divine texts.
The classroom was quiet, not a single person dared to make a sound.
They all feared that Old Yao would call on them and they would lose face in front of everyone.
Zheng Qing carefully copied the lecture notes on the blackboard onto the title page of “Philosophy of Magic”, patiently reading it word by word, sentence by sentence.
He read it again.
Three tis in total.
Then he felt the call of the Duke of Zhou.
This was a powerful hypnosis spell.
The young student shook his head in pain, resisting the irresistible call, trying hard to pry his eyes open that were about to stick together.
Strength fades after one effort, declines after two, and exhausts after three.
For so reason, this sentence kept circling in his mind.
So, he finally gave up on saving himself, poked Doctor Xiao with the pen: “Did you understand?”
As if it was a signal, the eyes of several classmates nearby imdiately focused on him.
“I feel a strong malice from the world…
the source of magic is rejecting my prying.” Duan Xiao Jian sighed deeply and turned to Xiao Xiao with a flattering look: “If there is a beam of light in this darkness, it must be you, our most adorable Doctor Xiao!”
“Hmm.” Xiao Xiao frowned, cautiously saying: “I can understand every word Old Yao says…”
Other people were instantly thrilled.
“Leave it to you!” Duan Xiao Jian cheerfully handed over a piece of panda candy: “Lilac flavored, rumored to taste like first love…
Doctor, could you give us a simple tutorial after class…”
Without a word, Xiao Xiao first tucked the candy into his pocket, then nodded vaguely.
But all this did not affect the young sterling scholar’s judgnt.
“And then?” Zheng Qing raised his eyebrows and continued to poke, saying: “You understand every word….
How about when they’re connected?”
“Don’t talk…
Old Yao is looking over!” Xiao Xiao sat upright, focused on the blackboard without turning a blind eye, refusing to answer Zheng Qing’s question.
At the sa ti, several clear coughs ca from the podium.
Several boys who are having a private eting imdiately deflated.
After coughing, Old Yao didn’t continue to analyze the profound derivation on the blackboard, but rapped the table with his pipe, drawing everyone’s attention back.
“I noticed that everyone isn’t very interested in the most fundantal content of our theory.”
A faint sound of agreent echoed in the classroom.
But more people, including Zheng Qing, just supported Old Yao’s assertion with their gaze.
“Completely within my expectations.” Old Yao shrugged, corners of his mouth twitching downwards, his hands spread lightly in front of him: “So let try to help you understand this theory in a more simple way.”
“It still follows that: within a certain scope of space-ti, the intensity of the active being is inversely proportional to this space-ti’s lifespan.”
“How do you understand this?”
“To put it simply, the stronger the active being in a small world, the shorter its lifespan.”
A neat ‘Oh’ was heard across the classroom.
Everyone’s face instantly lit up with a look of sudden realization.
Now it’s much clearer…
the problem with masters is that they always prefer to use very difficult words to express what could easily have been a simple concept.
Zheng Qing pursed his lips thoughtfully and quickly jotted down the explanation that Old Yao had given in red ink next to his previous notes.
“But you need to understand…
what we’ve just spoken of is essentially a conclusion.
It does not enhance your fundantal understanding of magic theory and will be of no assistance when you begin to construct your perception of the higher magic world.”
Old Yao shook his head, clearly dissatisfied with the students in the classroom.
“In your later studies, make sure you understand the source of this conclusion…Now, let reinforce your understanding through a more specific example.”
With this, he took out a sheet of white paper from the clipboard on the lectern, displayed it for everyone to see, and then placed it mid-air in front of him.
Then he flicked the paper with his fingers.
The sheet of white paper seed to be fixed in space, remaining unmoved in mid-air.
Only the dull ‘thud thud’ noises could be heard.
“Let’s assu that this sheet of paper represents a continent.”
“We can call it the ‘White Continent’…
Stop laughing, for ants, this continent is vast enough for them to explore and discover over an extended period of ti.”
The mild laughter that just arose in the classroom was quickly suppressed.
Old Yao, eyes narrowed in satisfaction, nodded his head.
He put his dark pipe in his mouth and puffing on it a few tis.
“Now that our world exists…
let’s say it lacks life.”
He breathed out a puff of smoke that encircled the White Continent.
He turned his pipe upside down, shook it, and out fell black ash, red sparks, and a few golden threads of tobacco that were yet to be fully burned.
The ash landed on the white paper and turned into black ants.
The sparks hit the paper and beca red ants.
The delicate, fluffy tobacco strands transford into mythical creatures with gnashing teeth and threatening claws.
“Screen!” Old Yao tapped on the blackboard.
Little elves flapped their wings and hurriedly drew down a translucent screen, the chirping noises reverberating in every corner of the classroom.
In the blink of an eye, the petite White Continent cast a large and clear image on the screen.
Everyone could clearly see the black and red ants, their trembling antennae, and sharp jaws.
They hooked their front legs and danced in joyful circles.
Then, a black ant was accidentally pushed off the White Continent by a dancing red ant.
It struggled, turned back into ash, and fell onto the classroom floor.
The dance on the White Continent abruptly stopped.
“Good things are always fleeting.” Standing on the lectern, Old Yao said thoughtfully: “Where there is color, there is conflict.”
“This has always been the case through the ages.”
The White Continent slowly rotated.
With the help of the large screen, everyone could clearly see that the ants of the two colors had begun to gradually separate, forming two clearly defined groups.
“War is the most direct way to resolve conflict.”
As he spoke these last words, in an instant, differently-colored ants started biting and snapping at each other.
They gnashed their jaws, swung their legs, and clashed their shiny heads together.
Severed legs and broken antennae littered the ground, creating a mountain range of carcasses that separated ants of different colors within just a few minutes.
Then, this short but brutal war suddenly ended.
The entire classroom heaved a collective sigh of relief.
“If this continent only had these ants, if these ants only had these abilities.”
“Then even if they fought until the end of the class, at most they’d drop so ash…
It would have no effect on our lovely White Continent.”
Zheng Qing nodded his head in agreent.
He glanced at his notes, then his gaze returned to the white world depicted on paper, seemingly deep in thought.
