381: Chapter 50 Sky is Clear_1 381: Chapter 50 Sky is Clear_1 “Is what they’re saying true?”
“What…
What…
What?”
Zheng Qing turned chanically, his face frozen in a stiff smile, his mind having started racing a few minutes earlier.
For the hundredth ti, he prayed deeply for all the gods and Buddhas to rescue him from this awkward atmosphere.
The young scholar even prayed in his heart to the stick figure behind the door – even a scream would be good!
But the classroom was quiet.
Even the small elves who were cleaning tiptoed, wrapping their wings tightly around themselves, seemingly afraid of disturbing the two young wizards in the corner.
“Is what they’re saying true?” Elena repeated her question.
She held a pile of toolbooks in one hand and twisted a lock of her long hair with the other, twirling it into a circle.
“Do you really chant my na every day?” The gypsy witch asked with a smile, “Are you…
cursing when you mutter my na?”
“Hehe, huh?” Zheng Qing let out a silly laugh, then gasped, hurriedly waving his hand: “No, definitely not!”
“Not…
” Elena curled her lips, showing a half-smiling, half-serious expression: “So it’s not true.”
“No, not at all.” Zheng Qing shook his head again, wanting to deny the witch’s certain misconceptions, but also wanting to let her know sothing, he was so anxious that he was sweating: “What I an…
is that what they wanted to convey was correct.”
“Is it?” Elena asked with an apparent epiphany: “So, you were cursing ?”
“No, absolutely not.” Faced with a confusing explanation, Zheng Qing was almost desperate.
He felt his cheeks burning up as he clarified, struggling to mitigate the young scholar’s feeling: “It’s just sothing I mutter in my spare ti.”
Having said this, Zheng Qing finally felt like he’d untangled so threads.
He let out a slight sigh of relief.
“I really didn’t curse you.” The boy emphasized once more.
“Oh.”
“Those guys just love to make a fuss over nothing.”
“I see.”
“Yes, hehe.”
The conversation seed to finally lighten up.
Zheng Qing felt a sense of relief.
But as the two of them shut up simultaneously, the classroom fell into unsettling silence again.
“You ntioned earlier you were going to a Union eting…” Elena lifted her head and asked.
“The talisman you asked to analyze earlier…” Almost at the sa ti, Zheng Qing tried to break the silence with another question.
The two looked at each other and laughed.
The atmosphere lightened considerably.
“You go first,” Zheng Qing’s face finally returned to normal, and his tone was much smoother: “Ladies first.”
Elena smiled slightly and showed no sign of refusal.
“I’m just curious about the topic you guys were discussing earlier,” the gypsy witch tilted her head, her large eyes glinting with curiosity: “Are you forming a new club?”
“Yes, Absolution Knight Group!” This topic seed to ignite a desire in Zheng Qing to express himself, he enthusiastically introduced the new club’s origin, mbership, and reasons for establishnt, speaking non-stop.
Not until the witch furrowed her brows and carefully switched the stack of tools from one arm to the other, did the young scholar hesitantly summarize, “Anyway, we’re going to try our best to make it a top-quality club in the university!”
“That’s impressive!” Elena complinted, then hesitated to ask: “…So, are you guys planning to participate in this year’s school hunting party?
But as I rember, only ranked hunting teams in school are eligible to participate…”
“It’s the Freshman match,” Zheng Qing corrected, pointing his finger: “It’s a peripheral derived event of the school hunting party…
It’s a hunting match for the university freshn.
It’s completely different from the official hunting matches for the veterans…
The demons appearing in the freshman race are all common demons mass-produced in the lab, so the risks are low.”
“I see,” Elena evidently breathed a sigh of relief.
She patted her puffed chest, revealing a relieved expression: “Either way, safety first…
Oh, about the thing you asked before class, if you’re free, we could go to the pedestrian street in Beta Town on Sunday afternoon, there are many nice little shops there.”
The topic beca sowhat abrupt.
The young scholar was taken aback for a mont before he caught up with the witch’s pace.
“No problem!” He responded quickly: “I’m always free on weekends.”
“Like lying in the school infirmary and sleeping?” The gypsy witch tilted her head, took a cheeky look at him.
This made Zheng Qing a little embarrassed.
“That was an accident.” He defended himself in a soft voice, then imdiately asked, “So specifically…”
“Sa ti, sa place.” The witch snapped her fingers, confirming, “We can first study that talisman in the library, and then go to the pedestrian street for dinner in the afternoon…”
“Alright, alright…” Zheng Qing nodded his head continuously, without any objection.
“So, we’re settled then?” Elena placed her falling shawl back over her shoulders, holding the tool book in her arms a little tighter.
She turned around and hesitated, “Then, I first…”
“Uh.” Zheng Qing answered, feeling a sense of loss.
“Uh.” Elena finally turned around, slowly, step by step, she walked out.
She soon walked to the classroom door.
The distance between the two had already spanned the length of an entire classroom.
“Hey, Yilian.” Zheng Qing suddenly felt a surge of hot blood rush to his head, feeling that if he didn’t say sothing his chest would surely burst.
He decided to let loose and shouted, “You don’t mind calling you that, do you!”
Elena turned around, her face blossoming into a large smile.
“No problem,” she shouted back, “All my friends call that!”
“Do you want to…” Zheng Qing raised his hand, his mind a blank.
He hadn’t yet thought about what he wanted to do, he just wanted to say sothing to her again.
“What do you want?” Elena had already turned around again.
Placing the tool books on the desk in the first row, she leaned over the desk, looking at the back row of the classroom.
“I an, do you want to…” Zheng Qing once again succeeded in turning his face red.
His mind was buzzing.
Not being a particularly quick thinker, he wasn’t good at this kind of brain-burning activity.
Elena lifted her head, bit her lip, and her high boots clomped against the marble floor, making a thudding sound like war drums.
“I don’t know, I an, do you know…” Zheng Qing looked into her bright eyes, again catching a whiff of that lush fragrance in the air, his thoughts beca more confused.
“What?” Elena seed sowhat discouraged.
“That, I an, hehe.” Zheng Qing already felt the urge to self-destruct.
“He…” Leaning on her forehead, Elena also let out a sowhat helpless laugh.
“Right, the school hunting party…
the Moon Hunting, isn’t there a Hunting Dance?” Zheng Qing was sweating profusely and stuttered, “Do you want to…”
“Okay!” Elena exhaled heavily, her eyebrows curved and she laughed, “It’s settled then!”
“Huh?” Zheng Qing’s brain suddenly crashed.
Although he vaguely knew what he had just said, he was completely unaware of the witch’s reaction.
“Zhang Ji Xin has already ntioned it before…” Elena shrugged, making a funny face.
“Since I haven’t been booked yet…
so according to the first-co-first-serve principle…”
Zheng Qing cracked a silent smile.
He felt the blood at the top of his head begin to recede, leaving him with a mixture of excitent and dizziness that he could hardly differentiate.
He felt as if he was about to take off.
“We’ll be in touch!” Elena picked up the tool book on the desk again, turned around, and casually flicked her wine-red wave.
“Oh.” Zheng Qing watched her retreating figure in a daze.
The witch seed to sense his gaze, turned around again, revealing a brilliant smile.
She lifted her right hand, extending her thumb and little finger to make the silhouette of a paper crane, and opened her mouth to say sothing.
The young scholarship student nodded vigorously, his heart full of excitent and an urge to wave his arms vigorously.
Until her figure disappeared around the distant corner.
As he turned to leave, Zheng Qing felt his excitent, and Elena’s sowhat hoarse voice resounded in his ear, making him feel compelled to do sothing.
He opened the law book on the desk, thinking about Old Yao’s lecture content, he chanted softly:
“Sky is clear, as you beco king.
The sky dawn, as you are wandering!”
The dark red flas swirled, and two figures erged from the flas as the spell was spoken.
One clothed in white robes, wearing a tall, horned crown on his head, his entire face hidden under the wide brim of his hat, with his hands tucked into his sleeves, a scroll and quill floating in front of him.
The other one dressed in black, with a black horse mask hanging on his face, a thick black iron chain wound around his neck, holding a short curved knife in his hand.
Zheng Qing looked at the two apparitions, slowly reaching out his hand.
“Pop!” The apparitions vanished on the spot as if a bubble had burst.
“So this is my original essence.” The excitent in Zheng Qing’s heart seed to vanish with the spell, which made him feel uncomfortable.
“It’s really unlikable.”
