Now reading: Chapter 46 - 46 46 The Brute and The Coward1 from High School of Demon Hunting, a Fantasy novel by Solemn Knight.

46: Chapter 46: The Brute and The Coward_1 46: Chapter 46: The Brute and The Coward_1 Black, grey clouds piled up like mountains, stretching and winding endlessly.

The silver-white lightning was like a river flowing between the mountains, whistling as it passed by.

The First University’s special airship was currently sailing through a storm.

Through the tall floor-to-ceiling windows, one could see a chaotic ss inside the dining hall, seemingly fresh from the ravages of a thunderstorm.

Tables and chairs were overturned; shattered tableware was scattered everywhere.

The silver-white curtains were torn off from the windows and piled up haphazardly on the floor.

The chandelier hanging in the center of the dining hall looked as if it had been violently yanked at by soone, its gilded fra twisted and its crystal lampshade laden with cracks.

The dining hall doors were shut tight.

At the entrance, by the bar, a spectacled snake that was originally coiled up on a high stool was now being held by a pair of slender hands, being tied into various knots.

The spectacled snake bulged its eyes, flicked its tongue, and let out pitiful hisses.

The witch remained unmoved.

In her heart, she felt herself to be a hundred tis more pitiful than the old snake.

The airship’s security was definitely aware of the incident in the dining hall by now.

Their rushing into the place was rely a matter of ti.

As for how the wizards would deal with a witch demon that had walked into their clutches, even preschool children could co up with eighteen different answers.

To run away would not only tarnish the terrifying reputation of the witch demon but also inevitably disrupt the captain’s plans.

At that ti, there would be a hundred and eighty ways her demon companions might deal with her.

The spectacled snake in her hand had already been tied into a dead knot.

The witch demon tossed aside the snake ball in her hand, hugged her arms, pouted her lips, and gazed at the university freshn squeezed together and shouting in the room, feeling very frustrated.

“These scaredy-cats.” Nikita muttered.

In truth, all she had done when she entered the dining hall was snap her fingers, pushing all the obstructive tables and benches aside, tearing down the light-blocking curtains, clearing a clean and bright area for her work.

She hadn’t even touched these young ones.

Not far away, a good-slling boy was leaning on an overturned sofa, holding a yellow paper charm in his hand, looking at her with a determined face.

Although still trembling, he was much better than those shouting with a black donkey’s hoof or a glittering cross in their hands.

Sure enough, a man she found pleasant-slling.

A charming smile surfaced on Nikita’s face.

She decided to take him along when she leaves, presenting him to the captain.

This way, she should be able to explain the reason for her exposure.

Perhaps the captain might not be willing to eat this young man, so she might have to take the trouble and bite him herself.

If Zheng Qing knew of Nikita’s thoughts, he would probably cough up blood.

The expression on his face was definitely not determination, but stiffness out of extre tension.

The horror of this demon exceeded his imaginations.

She had practically ruined a dining hall just by snapping her fingers!

What if that snap was targeted at his face?

Zheng Qing leaned against the sofa, looking anxiously at the witch not far away, as countless terrifying futures whirled in his mind.

Xiao Xiao stood behind him, speaking quickly in a lowered voice, but her voice was too soft and too hurried for Zheng Qing to understand a word.

Li ng was hiding behind the sofa with her fox and pigeon, her eyes peeking out showed no fear, only excitent and eagerness.

If it were not for Monk Shi Yuan holding her back, she probably would have already charged at the witch shouting.

Not far behind them, the spectacled snake’s owner, a girl with fair skin and a sharp chin, was sobbing softly.

Within the whole dining hall, besides the freshn and their pets, there was only one injured little elf.

This situation filled the young ones with despair.

“If we knew, we would have insisted on bringing Blue Bird to the dining hall.” Li ng complained softly behind the sofa: “He looks like he can fight.”

Before coming to the dining hall, the group had invited Blue Bird to join them for lunch.

But the aloof boy shook his head and continued to sit quietly and recuperate with his sword wrapped in his arms.

“Stay quiet and remain behind ,” Zheng Qing gritted his teeth.

His breath was growing more rapid.

His brain seed to lack oxygen, as sparkles blinked in and out of his vision.

Li ng pouted, stuffing the little heads of Poseidon and the pigeon back behind the sofa and refraining from making any more noises.

“A bunch of weaklings.” Not far away, the demoness sneered, a hint of nostalgia flashing in her eyes.

She pulled a feathered pen from her bag and flipped open the law book in her hands.

It wasn’t her law book.

It belonged to an airline stewardess from the lounge area.

The fluctuations of every fallen wizard’s law book were recorded by the authorities.

Carrying your own law book onboard the university special airplane was an unwise act.

So while borrowing the stewardess’s heart, the demoness also appropriated her law book.

It was a Bologna edition law book, likely standard issue for the air crew.

The light blue cover was intact, with the gilt lines of the spine still bright and clean.

The fore edge depicted the story of Poseidon and four little angels.

Nikita vaguely rembered that during her university years, she only used standard law books provided by the school.

Those bulging softcover law books stared back at young girls who took pride in their appearance like glaring pimples on their faces.

During those tis, the Bologna edition law books on display in Beta Town’s bookstore windows were like Cinderella’s glass slippers to her; desired yet untouchable.

But now…

Nikita, with a sense of boredom, flipped open the new law book.

Whether it was the prayer of Athena on the title page or the Hattifa linen paper used for the pages, both seed vulgar and laughable to her.

“Why did I ever like such decorative law books?” she pondered quietly.

Perhaps she rely wanted to gain a bit more confidence in front of him.

Speaking of confidence, so fools nearby seed to lust for that quality as well.

Arrogance without power, however, was no different from suicide.

The demoness lifted her head, gazing at an overturned dining table by the window.

Behind the table, a few tall male wizards seed restless.

Zheng Qing also heard their unusual whispers.

A rough voice was quietly inciting his classmates to take out their talismans and magic artifacts, to give that demoness a piece of their mind.

“Do not fear.

She is just a demoness!” the voice said excitedly, “One explosion charm per person will knock her out cold.

We just need to break the dining hall’s door, hold on a bit, and the registered wizard on the plane will co at once!”

The other people seed a bit moved.

“Idiots!

We are on a plane right now!

Are you not afraid that an explosion will blast a hole in the plane and send us all plumting?” Zheng Qing did not dare to look back, muttering quietly to Xiao Xiao.

His words were complaints.

Yet, Xiao Xiao actually stood up.

“Don’t do anything stupid!” He turned around, stared at those boys, berated them without any fear of becoming the center of attention.

“She is a fallen wizard,” Xiao Xiao said, casting a glance at Nikita, “who has undergone a complete falling ceremony.

A demoness who has retained her human form and even consciousness, like her, isn’t sothing that freshn, who haven’t even entered the university, can handle.”

“If she wanted, she could drain our blood and seize our souls, without alerting anyone.”

“In fact, we are half-dead right now.”

The dining hall fell into an awkward silence.

“Coward!

We have one foot in the Ghost Gate already, so we should fight harder!” The boy who was encouraging rebellion stood up fearlessly and declared loudly, “If we give up on living ourselves, how are we any different from being dead!”

Zheng Qing couldn’t help but turn around.

It was a muscular boy with a buzz cut.

His face was flushed red, either from emotion or natural complexion.

That’s definitely the style of those madn from Starry Sky Academy!

Soone nearby seed to mutter quietly.
