Now reading: Chapter 745 - 745 93 Stunning Beauty1 from High School of Demon Hunting, a Fantasy novel by Solemn Knight.

745: Chapter 93: Stunning Beauty_1 745: Chapter 93: Stunning Beauty_1 As a student with public funding, or to be more precise, as a publicly-funded student who always manages unexpected performance, Zheng Qing did not feel the intense pressure of academic credits that his fellow students experienced.

Because he had ample credits.

His abundance of credits ca from an array of sources, including the bonus for the club invitation letter at the beginning of the sester, the rewards from professors for his contribution to the class, the individual awards from the school and professors after he won the rlin dal, the reward for assisting Councilor Su in conducting magical experints, the award for being the ‘Rookie of the Year’ in the Moon Hunting rookie competition and the reward for handing in a black cat to the ‘relevant departnt’, among others.

It was an exhaustive list.

Not to ntion, in the half year he had been at school, several accidents he experienced on the school premises not only resulted in temporary stays in the school hospital but also earned him partial consolation rewards from the school’s labor committee and relevant departnts every ti.

Adding these all up, while the academic year was not yet halfway through, the young public-funded student had already accumulated enough credits to proceed to the second grade, and even had many more to spare.

When Nicholas, who buries his head in books and diligently solves problems every day in the library, hears about the number of credits on Zheng Qing’s card, he would undoubtedly cry out in an outcry of “how unfair!”.

But it was precisely because credits ca so easily to him, that after he entered school, Zheng Qing gradually lost heart in working and economizing, even in earning money by drawing talismans.

After receiving the two charm guns as gifts, only then did he feel comfortable enough to practice his aim during Hunting Team Training.

Only then did Zheng Qing finally dare to directly ask the Gypsy witch to go shopping with him.

For a boy with a moderate chauvinistic mindset, if he could not casually say ‘buy, buy, buy’ when shopping with a girl, he would rather stay in the dormitory, draw talismans, and practice calligraphy.

As far as he was concerned now, if he ran out of money, he could just exchange a few credits, and his problems would be solved.

This simplicity made money seem so easy to him.

This caused the young public expense student, after selling the gains from the rookie competition, he had no inclination to hoard the newly gained wealth.

Instead, he thought about opening a store on the Pedestrian Street, to act as the public face for the hunting team, much like the older, established hunting teams at the school.

Zheng Qing chose the Wandering Bar to exchange credits.

The bar, rumoured to have connections to the Black Wizard, was renowned at the First University.

Many young wizards, eager to prove their bravery, would visit on weekends for a drink, listening to the Multi-arm Tribe Bartender ramble at the counter before embellishing those stories and spreading them around the campus.

However, the bar’s true fa lay in the underground black market hidden within.

Many magical materials, banned from purchase under the Wizard’s Code, but free to be used could be found in its shadier corners.

And credit exchange was one of the major services offered by the Wandering Bar.

Because of a minor coincidence, Zheng Qing beca a gold card mber of this bar.

In the past, he had only listed his standardized talismans for sale, or occasionally flipped the small magical materials needed by his classmates.

This was his first ti exchanging credits.

“Today’s standard price is three-point-fourteen jade.

The regular mber’s rate is five percent, gold card custors two-point-five percent.” Behind the bar, a multi-ard tribe server threw a wooden sign to the young public expense student, reporting the price confidently, “Gold card custors can waive the fee by purchasing a glass of Green Bee.”

On the wooden sign, the silver numbers (3.14 jades: 1 point) were clearly visible.

Together with the wooden sign that was thrown before the young wizard, there was also a student card from which na, photo, and other information had been wiped out.

Zheng Qing knew that this card was the supposed ‘black card’, a card issued to an anonymous student, specifically used for interdiate credit transactions.

“Exchange for one credit.” Zheng Qing presented his student card, cleared his throat, and said quietly.

The multi-arm attendant took the card, stared at the bright red digits, his eyebrows slightly raised, expressing his surprise: “I rember you only enrolled in September this year…

So you’re still a freshman?”

Zheng Qing didn’t understand why he said this, all he could do was nod quietly.

“Quite impressive.” The bartender sighed, taking an empty glass from under the counter, and pouring half a glass of Green Bee, placing it before the young wizard: “Although there are not many students who visit the bar to exchange credits, those who can naturally have ample credits.

Despite this, I’ve never seen a first-year student’s card with so many credits on it.”

Zheng Qing finally understood.

This multi-arm server was praising him.

He laughed awkwardly; his eyes, however, couldn’t help but fall on that glass of Green Bee before him.

After a mont of hesitation, the young public expense student spoke up: “Erm, thank you…

But, I didn’t order this glass of wine…

I can pay the handling fee separately.”

“This glass is on ; the processing fee is separate.” The bartender chuckled, his penta-arm still leisurely wiping other wine glasses and arranging the wine rack, while a small pile of coins had inexplicably appeared in front of Zheng Qing.

“Three jade coins and seventy-four bronze coins.

After deducting ninety-four bronze coins as handling fee…” The attendant handed over a confirmation slip before the young wizard.

“If everything is correct, you can sign here.”

Zheng Qing weighed the small pile of still warm coins before him, touched them, and nodded in satisfaction.

Then, he read the docunt carefully and upon seeing no issues, picked up the quill beside him to trace a circle on the confirmation slip.

“Pleasure doing business with you!” He raised his half a glass of Green Bee with a beaming smile on his face.

“Welco to the bar.” The multi-ard attendant did not raise his glass, but only nodded slightly with a friendly smile.

Zheng Qing t the Gypsy witch at the entrance of the candy store on the Pedestrian Street.

At that ti, she was bending over, separated by a giant floor-to-ceiling glass window, engrossed in the dramatic performance from the confections inside the store.

Contrary to how Zheng Qing rembered them, today’s candies were participating in a heartwarming tale, perfectly set against the current weather.

The falling snowflakes were all sweet sugar sprinkles; the moon hanging in the sky was a round piece of ginger sugar; the cloud obscuring the moon was sweet cotton candy.

But the young wizard, who was usually very interested in these kinds of magic, only quickly scanned over it before forcibly shifting his attention back.

“Aren’t you cold?” Zheng Qing looked worriedly at the Gypsy witch, sounding slightly uneasy.

“It’s snowing right now; aren’t you dressed too thinly?”

He had thought that Elena would co out wearing a leather jacket or sothing similar to keep warm.

But now, he was forced to confront an unsettling situation – the witch was wearing only a thin skirt.

Although it was a long skirt, although the skirt did not expose any skin on the arms and covered her ankles, regardless of the see-through lace pattern at the collar and cuffs, or the thin fabric of the skirt, they all clearly told the wizard one fact.

This was a sumr dress.
