"No way!"
Qin Mu took her coffee and lightly replied before drinking it.
"Ugh! Actually, I think they don’t quite match. Although they seem deeply in love, Li Yu is indeed excessively handso, while Li Man is a bit, ordinary, don’t you think?"
As Xiaoi spoke, her voice lowered, fearing she might have misspoken.
"In terms of appearance, Zhao Huai pairing with you is also a bit of a concession!"
Qin Mu glanced at her slightly, smiling as she comnted.
Xiaoi...
"But that’s fate for you!"
Qin Mu sighed helplessly, suppressing her laughter, and lowered her head to continue drinking her coffee.
"Who says I’m not good-looking? Everyone calls Xiaoi Xiaoi all the ti!"
Xiaoi muttered in dissatisfaction with her head down, while Qin Mu continued to stifle her laugh, slowly raising her eyes to see Xiaoi’s reluctant expression, her expressive eyes filled with protest.
——
After lunch, Qin Mu lay in her room upstairs to rest. As she slept, she suddenly felt a weight on her, a warmth at her back. Reflexively, she turned around and continued sleeping nestled in a chest.
Half an hour later, when she woke up and slowly opened her eyes, she realized she wasn’t dreaming; he was truly there.
The bed had felt cold, and she wanted to rest her eyes before going to work, but shortly after she complained, it suddenly felt warm. She thought she was dreaming.
Mu Yichen was resting a hand on his head, with the other gently around her waist, wearing a prepared, charming smile for his lovely wife.
"Why are you here again?"
Qin Mu feigned calmness.
"If I didn’t co, how would I know you miss so much?"
Mu Yichen’s deep voice carried a hint of seduction.
Qin Mu’s heart fluttered, and she lowered her eyes against his chest: "Can’t you sense my longing for you even from miles away?"
Mu Yichen chuckled softly, gazing intently at his wife in his arms without speaking further.
Because he had indeed said such things to Qin Mu, knowing well that his wife was embarrassed.
"But Mu Yichen, haven’t you been really busy lately?"
Qin Mu raised her eyes. Even though her voice was a bit hoarse, her gaze was fixed intently on Mu Yichen.
Mu Yichen’s deep dark eyes looked at her serenely: "No matter how busy I am, it doesn’t take long to get from where I am to the studio. Besides, the day is long, and taking a short break with my wife isn’t difficult!"
Qin Mu found his voice more enchanting!
Or perhaps his words were too sweet?
Many people, after getting married, increasingly spend less ti with each other, yet he seed always to save his ti for her.
Qin Mu quietly gazed at him, feeling as if she were dreaming for a while.
Then, in a blink, she buried her head in his arms, holding him tightly.
She recalled when they were young, stubbornly refusing to say nice things to each other, fearing that once the dream ended, they’d revert to those days, glaring at one another?
No! It wasn’t glaring. It was another kind of tornt, each too afraid to take a step forward.
Qin Mu clung tightly to his waist, instinctively gripping the fabric of his shirt.
Mu Yichen looked down at her, his eyes softened, gently cupping her face: "What’s wrong?"
His gentle voice seed to soothe a small child.
"I’m so afraid all this is a facade! Mu Yichen, what if one day I wake up to find it was all a dream?"
With a weak voice, she questioned him, pressing against his chest and listening intently to his heartbeat.
"If this is a dream, then it’s a dream from which you’ll never wake!"
Hearing this, Qin Mu felt a bit more at ease, yet she still held him tightly!
Mu Yichen reflexively embraced her, but couldn’t help but bla her internally. The child is so big now, yet she still had such profound insecurities.
Nonetheless, seeing her shed her seemingly strong and independent facade around him brought him joy.
"Oh, by the way! Jian Yan called , asking if I knew what kind of wine you gifted!"
Qin Mu suddenly rembered the matter, looking up at him.
Upon ntioning the two bottles of wine, Mu Yichen’s brow slightly moved, then he chuckled softly: "The wine is obviously good wine, why would your ntor ask that? Did he say anything else?"
Mu Yichen’s slightly narrowed eyes seed to carry a hint of tension.
