Qin Mu pursed her lips, suppressing her laughter. This was not the first ti she knew, but every ti she watched him change the bed sheets, she felt a sense of accomplishnt, a feeling of elation.
How lucky she was to be his wife.
Later, her stomach felt a bit cold, so she snuggled closely against Mu Yichen, unwilling to leave.
Mu Yichen held her tightly after she fell asleep, afraid that if he let go, her stomach would feel cold.
So Qin Mu slept well that night, nuzzling against him, absorbing his warmth, and also his passion.
In the latter half of the night, Mu Yichen felt the fire that had vanished in the early part of the night was rekindled by her touch.
But...
When Qin Mu woke up in the morning, she still felt as if she were in a dream.
Looking up, she saw him lying beside her, his features like a masterpiece crafted by the heavens, so beautiful that she couldn’t resist sketching them with her hand. She even held her breath, afraid of disturbing his rest.
His lips were so beautiful that she had traced them countless tis in secret, yet still loved doing it.
Mu Yichen later sighed helplessly.
"Mrs. Mu, if you keep touching like this, I’m really going to go crazy!"
Mu Yichen’s husky voice warned her.
Only then did Qin Mu realize he was awake, and she smiled lightly. As he turned over and lay down, she happened to crawl onto his chest, like a delicate woman on him.
"Good morning! Mr. Mu!"
"Good morning! My Mrs. Mu!"
Hearing him call her ’my Mrs. Mu’, Qin Mu’s heart lted. Her lower abdon had felt a bit uncomfortable monts ago, but now it felt warm.
After breakfast, Qin Mu went to the studio as usual; she still needed to help Mr. Mu design the clothes for New Year, and it needed to be quick!
In the afternoon, as her sketches took shape and she was about to savor her success, her phone rang from the sofa.
Qin Mu had been stiff with tension for a while; just as she answered the call, she stood up and walked over to pick up the phone from the sofa. Seeing the na displayed, her heart skipped a beat.
The smugness on her face vanished unconsciously. She answered the phone with a slightly taut voice: "Hello?"
"Qin Mu? Jian Yan is missing!"
Xiao Wei said to her on the phone, sounding particularly anxious.
"Missing?"
Qin Mu furrowed her brows, her lowered eyes becoming slightly blank.
"I ca over to find him this morning, only to discover he’s been gone for a while."
Xiao Wei explained to her further.
Gone for a while?
Qin Mu’s heartbeat started to beco erratic, her gaze increasingly confused.
"People at the studio said he left after delegating so work a few days ago, and there’s no one at ho. Everyone has been calling his phone, but it’s always turned off. Qin Mu, could he be..."
"No!"
Qin Mu instinctively refuted, her face suddenly turning pale.
Her eyes were filled with bewildernt.
Jian Yan left?
"Xiao Wei, are you sure he’s left Paris?"
Qin Mu asked again, not certain if what Xiao Wei said was what she thought.
"Colleagues at the studio said he ntioned he was going out for a walk and would return after the New Year. But why isn’t he answering everyone’s calls?"
Now Xiao Wei stood in Jian Yan’s apartnt living room, her big belly showing, even more anxious and flustered.
After hanging up, Qin Mu stared blankly before imdiately dialing Jian Yan’s number.
She carefully recalled her last conversation with Jian Yan, which was quite so ti ago. Jian Yan had said he wanted to rest these years and wouldn’t hold shows temporarily.
Qin Mu suddenly rembered their last call, then she felt weak and sat on the sofa.
She imdiately called Jian Yan’s attending doctor in Paris. The doctor said Jian Yan’s condition wasn’t too good. Although he picked up dicine on ti, it’s uncertain whether he took it.
At that mont, Qin Mu felt as if the sky was falling, everything around darkened so much she couldn’t see anything. She instinctively buried her forehead in her arms, held herself, and endured the headache trying to remain calm.
"Qin Mu, I’m pregnant!"
Soon after, Xiao Wei texted her.
Suddenly, tears spilled from Qin Mu’s eyes for no apparent reason.
She had never thought there would be a day she couldn’t find her ntor.
The tall man had always been her guide, and with him around, she felt her future was bright.
But one day, he suddenly disappeared!
Qin Mu sat alone on the couch for a long ti, oblivious to her nstrual cycle starting.
