Ms. Liu spoke a few more words to Qin Mu.
"Since you haven’t done anything, I apologize for having doubted you before!"
Ms. Liu sat back down and sincerely apologized to Qin Mu.
Qin Mu looked at her, moved by her forthrightness.
"I accept your apology!"
They both exchanged a smile, letting bygones be bygones.
"On the way here, I was wondering what kind of woman Qin Mu really is. I thought about all the good and bad things about you."
Ms. Liu finally felt comfortable enough to pick up her tea and chat with Qin Mu.
"So am I good, or bad?"
Qin Mu also picked up her tea, though she didn’t drink.
"How can one judge by just good or bad? But your half-sister is quite tricky and difficult to deal with!"
Ms. Liu didn’t make a hasty judgnt about her, but found it easy to comnt on Qin Mingzhu.
"Oh, Mingzhu! That girl is indeed troubleso, but what she thinks is written on her face, she’s a bit of a naive girl!"
Qin Mu thought about how Qin Mingzhu said she didn’t want to make friends in Beijing, and didn’t trust the concept of friendship, hearing Ms. Liu’s words, she chose a simple way to explain for Qin Mingzhu.
"You make a fair point; whether she’s naive, I don’t know, but this girl is certainly not calculative like those who show one face and think with another!"
Ms. Liu responded to Qin Mu, not feeling uncomfortable about Qin Mingzhu, just unable to handle overly dramatic people; encounters at several dinners had left her head spinning with Qin Mingzhu’s random remarks.
"Then I ask Ms. Liu to look after her in Beijing!"
Qin Mu requested casually.
"I heard before that the relationship between you sisters wasn’t good!"
Ms. Liu ntioned with a skeptical smile when she looked at Qin Mu.
"You did say it was before!"
Qin Mu responded.
"Looks like we communicate well, which surprises ; I thought this girl who grew up alone in Paris would be withdrawn and hard to get along with."
Ms. Liu observed Qin Mu, unable to shake off a bit of scrutiny.
"I didn’t grow up in solitude, my husband has always been there with !"
Qin Mu explained easily.
Ms. Liu fell silent for a few seconds, then smiled: "With that said, I’m even more assured that you won’t ss up my brother and sister-in-law’s relationship; if anything, I’m worried my brother will cause you trouble!"
As she spoke, Ms. Liu beca more understanding.
"Not at all! What’s ant to be encountered is fate!"
Qin Mu continued on her words.
Ms. Liu smiled, satisfied, with a slight curve on her lips.
"I didn’t expect Mr. Liu’s elder sister to be so outstanding!"
Qin Mu glanced at her unabashedly, evaluating.
"Seems we’ve had a pleasant chat; I won’t disturb you any further, I’ll head back to talk so sense into my impractical brother!"
After speaking, Ms. Liu stood up, picked up her hat and placed it back on her head.
Qin Mu stood up to see her off.
"No need to see out, if fate allows, we shall et again!"
At the door Ms. Liu turned back to say goodbye to Qin Mu.
"Alright! Until we et again!"
Qin Mu then stopped following her out.
Hangzi had been sitting in the car outside the whole ti, anxiously glancing inside, but now he was finally relieved.
Before Ms. Liu got in the car, she glanced at the car opposite, then lowered her eyes and got in.
With the bodyguard in front, she seated at the back, the car quickly drove away from the area.
Qin Mu stood there for quite a while without moving, initially thinking it was a catastrophe, surprisingly she encountered soone reasonable.
Qin Mu was about to head back inside, but subconsciously looked at the car opposite, where Hangzi just lit a cigarette, smiling in her direction.
Qin Mu nodded at him and went inside to ask Xiaoi to make a cup of tea and bring it to the car outside.
Later, Xiaoi saw Qin Mu sitting on the sofa instead of going upstairs, so she walked over to sit opposite her: "That Ms. Liu from earlier is quite strange!"
"How so?"
Qin Mu asked.
"She looks quite aloof, but her words are very asured, not like those won full of scheming that you’ve encountered before."
Xiaoi expressed her thoughts.
"Mhm!"
Qin Mu nodded, taking a sip from the tea she hadn’t drunk before.
"It’s probably cold, let get you a fresh cup!"
Xiaoi worried she might feel uncomfortable drinking cold tea.
"It’s fine!"
Qin Mu whispered, drank a little and felt that today’s tea was actually pretty ordinary, but even the lady from a prestigious family could drink it, how could she disdain it?
