Qin Mu couldn’t help but look curiously at Qin Haiming, her eyes very calm yet filled with anticipation for Qin Haiming to tell her more.
"He’s always been on your side, since you were little, right?"
Qin Haiming looked at Qin Mu and asked her.
Qin Mu thought for a mont, then nodded: "Yeah!"
Since Qin Haiming had a lunch eting, Qin Mu went to the city after tea and arranged to have lunch with Helian Hao, opting not to go to AM today, but instead choosing a rather well-known, albeit not very large, noodle shop in the city.
Qin Mu arrived first, and since it was only eleven, there weren’t many custors, so she sat down to look at the nu while waiting for Helian Hao.
Two very slender girls walked into the noodle shop, glanced around, and seeing only the back of one woman, they whispered to each other and sat as far away from her as possible.
"So, you’re saying you were very successful?"
One girl spoke up first.
"Of course, when Zhang Hongyun takes action, what can’t be a success?"
The other girl boasted a little.
"Ha! You really think you’re all that, don’t you? Even though you’ve succeeded in the first step, you can’t get complacent!"
"Yeah! I’ll work hard. This job was so hard to co by; if I don’t work hard, how can I live up to the over ten years of hard study I’ve put in?"
Qin Mu wasn’t intentionally eavesdropping, but being the only three in the shop, she heard everything. Qin Mu thought, there are still such hardworking girls nowadays, which is really comndable.
"Zhang Hongyun, I’ve realized you can be quite sneaky! I’m actually regretting not applying with you. Now I can only listen but can’t see, it’s so frustrating."
When Helian Hao entered, she saw Qin Mu’s back and quietly walked over. As they were all won here, Zhang Hongyun and her friend also curiously glanced at them but couldn’t see clearly from afar, so nobody paid much attention.
After Helian Hao sat down, Qin Mu looked up: "You walk so quietly!"
"Hehe! I just wanted to surprise you! Why are you here so early?"
Helian Hao put her bag aside and asked Qin Mu while calling a waiter to order noodles.
"I ca here after leaving the leader’s office; I didn’t want to do anything else anyway."
Qin Mu said, placing the shop’s historical flyer aside, having just finished reading it.
"You should really stop calling him ’leader’ all the ti; you’re honestly doing it just to irritate your dad!"
Helian Hao sighed helplessly, genuinely unable to bear it anymore.
Qin Mu chuckled but didn’t answer.
She really couldn’t change what she called him.
"If I were your dad, I’d have been irritated to death by you already. Calling him ’leader’ all the ti, in front of others, he can pretend your father-daughter relationship is good because of it, but when it’s just the two of you, can’t you feel how uncomfortable he is?"
Helian Hao asked her quietly, even though there were few people around, Helian Hao habitually lowered her voice when talking about such matters.
"Stop talking about him; why did you suddenly want to co here to eat noodles? Isn’t there any kind of noodle AM can’t make?"
Qin Mu changed the subject and asked her.
"They can certainly make everything there, but this feels different! Just wait and see, having noodles here is definitely not the sa as in so fancy restaurant."
Helian Hao told her quietly.
Qin Mu had eaten noodles in small shops before and, having erged from poverty, she used to make a takeout al last for two days, as long as it didn’t spoil.
"Alright, I’ll see how different it is then!"
Eating noodles here indeed felt quite down-to-earth, was Qin Mu’s first impression.
The noodles were also delicious, and everything was great!
After taking a few bites, Helian Hao looked at Qin Mu, seeing how intently she was eating and couldn’t help but laugh: "See? I wasn’t lying, was I?"
Qin Mu finished what’s in her mouth and said to her: "It’s really good, but I think it’s a bit hot in here!"
The only downside is that the store still had the air conditioner on, which really wasn’t necessary to be so warm at this ti.
"You’re probably the first one to complain about it being hot here. I think it’s just right to break a sweat and drive out all the dampness from the body!"
After hearing this, Helian Hao told her.
"That’s not sothing a doctor should be saying!"
Qin Mu laughed, couldn’t resist teasing as she looked at Helian Hao not caring at all.
When the place was full, Qin Mu and Helian Hao finished eating and stood up to head to the counter to pay.
Helian Hao reflexively took out her wallet, and Qin Mu stood beside her, suppressing a laugh while watching. Qin Mu had also intended to pay, but now! Silence seed the best choice!
"Boss, check please!"
