Qin Mu mumbled these words, barely audible, so the aunt couldn’t hear clearly, but she had a sense of foreboding.

After Qin Mu and Qin Mingzhu went back to their room, Wang Huanyu and Mu Yichen smoked outside. To them, Qin Haiming’s sudden passing was a heavy blow as well.

Mu Yichen recalled that throughout his life, the most Qin Haiming said to him was to be good to Qin Mu, to be responsible for Qin Mu. When Mu Yichen thought one day Qin Mu and Qin Haiming would be a harmonious father-daughter pair, Qin Haiming’s car suddenly exploded on the road.
Wang Huanyu also pondered on the way how could such a thing happen.
That night was destined to be peaceful; as the two sisters slept in one room, Mu Yichen and Wang Huanyu slept on the sofa.
In the morning, Mu Yichen prepared breakfast in the kitchen while Wang Huanyu was on the phone outside. The two sisters, both wearing black dresses, ca downstairs with red-rimd eyes, though their spirits were sowhat better.
However, Qin Mingzhu never let go of Qin Mu’s arm, sticking close to her side.
Wang Huanyu, finishing his call and looking up, saw them coming down the stairs, and only exchanged a silent glance with Qin Mu as a greeting. Qin Mingzhu didn’t even look at him; they were still a loving couple just yesterday, but now, he stood there like an outsider, Qin Mingzhu’s eyes always lowered, clinging to Qin Mu’s side.
The four of them had breakfast together in silence, then took a car to the cetery, with the Mu Family arriving shortly after with the kids. Others like Qiao Yi and Yang Bo, Jing Qing and Helian Hao, Jiang Zhiyuan and his wife, Zhao Huai and his wife, and several others around Qin Mu’s and Mu Yichen’s age ca too.
The area near the cetery was filled with various luxury cars, all coordinated in black this ti.
Everyone dressed neatly and stood solemnly to bid farewell to Qin Haiming.
