Mu Yichen listened and said.
"Yes! I also saw..."
The staff looked a bit worried.
Zhao Huai listened to him stutter and looked up at him. Mu Yichen also turned to look at him: "If you have sothing to say, just say it!"
"Their tools are all on your desk. I saw so scratches on your desk, and I worry..."
The staff hesitated, always feeling like they were stirring up trouble in soone else’s marriage.
"Make sure she doesn’t cut her hand; that desk should have been replaced long ago!"
Mu Yichen looked outside, his lips barely moved, and his voice was especially calm.
The staff looked up at Mu Yichen in disbelief, knowing that the desk was worth at least five figures.
"What are you standing around for? You don’t know what the young mistress likes to eat and drink? Go prepare it right away!"
Zhao Huai saw the hotel staff standing there stunned and quickly reminded them.
The staff finally snapped out of it, wiping sweat and turned to prepare, fearing that Yichen didn’t hear him clearly just now, and if the desk was found damaged tomorrow, he wouldn’t be able to explain.
After the staff left, Zhao Huai couldn’t help but laugh: "Qin Mu must be holding a grudge against you. Otherwise, why would she scratch your desk?"
Mu Yichen looked up slightly: "If scratching a few desks could appease her, I would be grateful!"
Hearing his words, Zhao Huai truly felt he had it tough.
By around eleven o’clock at night, the staff finally started to disperse.
Qin Mu and Xiaoi sat on the sofa, watching the slight rain outside. Xiaoi glanced at her phone, Zhao Huai texted her saying he was waiting downstairs. Xiaoi then turned to Qin Mu: "Shall we go?"
"Yeah!"
Qin Mu snapped back to reality, agreed, and stood up with Xiaoi to leave.
Unexpectedly, as soon as they stepped out, they saw a tall, standing figure leaning against the wall.
Mu Yichen stood with his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall for who knows how long. Qin Mu and Xiaoi were very curious when they saw him, but he just straightened up: "Finished?"
"Yeah!"
Qin Mu responded and then walked over: "How long have you been here?"
"Forgotten! Maybe two hours?"
Mu Yichen said he forgot, then glanced at his wristwatch and added.
Qin Mu imdiately felt a bit guilty, thinking he didn’t have to do that.
Xiaoi followed behind them, knowing not to interrupt. Until they reached the elevator, Xiaoi suddenly pointed to another elevator: "You two take this one, I’ll take that one!"
Before Qin Mu could stop her, Xiaoi went into the elevator that just opened.
Qin Mu sighed silently, reflexively glancing at Mu Yichen, who was also looking at her.
"Well, there’s sothing I need to tell you!"
After getting into the elevator, Qin Mu thought for a mont, then looked at him with sharp eyes.
Mu Yichen kept leaning by the side, watching her, and only continued to silently gaze at her when she spoke, as if her face was filled with sothing he couldn’t understand but was worth exploring.
"While cutting the drawings today, I accidentally... I’ll get soone to replace it tomorrow?"
Qin Mu felt particularly guilty. She just wanted to hold a eting at his place, but later soone brought over so blueprints, and they got carried away with the discussion, forgetting it was his desk.
She carefully watched him, afraid he would be unhappy.
Mu Yichen didn’t say a word, only staring at her profoundly.
Qin Mu felt goosebumps from his gaze, unsure if he was upset or very angry.
"Why aren’t you saying anything?"
Qin Mu looked at him with eyes filled with tension.
The elevator had only the two of them, one overly tense, the other relaxed and indifferent.
Mu Yichen stood slouched against the elevator, hands in pockets, staring intently at her. Then, as if he couldn’t breathe properly, he suddenly took his hands out of his pockets, stepped forward with his long legs, and Qin Mu reflexively stepped back.
Without a word, he clasped her face with both hands from above.
In Qin Mu’s heart, a voice shouted, as if a boiling pot of water was pouring from her head, drenching her deepest core.
He seed to be telling her: You can no longer push away so heartlessly!
"Ding!"
The elevator door opened tily, and Mu Yichen reluctantly let her go.
Qin Mu stomped out without looking up, huffing in anger.
