"B-but…this is too much!" Iris Long couldn’t help but say.
She looked at the others. Jin Liwei and Grandpa Lu had the same smiles of approval. Her mother-in-law, Huang Yuyan, also gave her an encouraging smile.
Only her brother-in-law, Jin Chonglin, appeared stunned just like her. It seemed that the two of them were the only sane people in the room.
The lawyer didn’t wait for her and began reading the lists of the jewelry and properties Grandma Li had left for her. When the lawyer reached the part about the Jin Corporation shares, Iris Long felt like her mind had separated from her body. Everything felt so surreal.
The shares that Grandma Li left her would propel her to bee one of the major shareholders in Jin Corporation.
She would be on par with her husband.
At the current Jin Corporation, Grandpa Lu was the biggest shareholder. He still owned half of the pany’s equity.
His partner, sworn brother, and best friend, Jin Liwei’s grandfather, had owned the other half when he was still alive.
Unlike Grandpa Lu who insisted on holding the entire half of his equity share, however, Grandfather Jin decided to distribute a portion of his shares to the most loyal members of the pany before leaving the rest to his family. And that was how the Jins’ share of the pany had bee diluted.
Nevertheless, the Jin family still held considerable power because they had always taken the President-CEO spot.
As the wife of one of the founders, Grandma Li also held shares in Jin Corporation. Now that she passed away, Iris would never have imagined that she would inherit everything.
She was about to protest, but someone did it before her.
"How e my grandmother left all her pany shares to my sister-in-law?" Jin Chonglin asked in disbelief. "I’m not saying that I want part of it. I already have my own shares, but my mom—"
"Son, I also have my own shares left by your father," Huang Yuyan interrupted. "Xiulan can have your grandmother’s."
Jin Chonglin sent his mother an incredulous look. But he didn’t want to give up just yet. "There’s also still my brother! If anyone deserves the shares, then it’s my big brother! He’s the current head of the pany! He has done so much for Jin Corporation!"
Unfortunately for him, he had forgotten that his big brother was a wife-doting simp.
"Chonglin, we should respect what our grandmother decided," Jin Liwei said in a calm voice.
Although Iris agreed with Jin Chonglin’s points, the way he protested still grated on her nerves. She pursed her lips and restrained herself from throwing her brother-in-law a glare.
After marriage, Jin Liwei gave her a small portion of his own shares at Jin Corporation as part of their pre-nuptial agreement. She had also tried rejecting his shares at that time but her husband could be quite stubborn when giving her extravagant gifts. He had a history of gifting her entire panies, after all, so gifting pany shares wasn’t that surprising anymore.
If the shares were from her husband, she could still accept them. But now that the shares were from her grandmother-in-law, Iris felt that it wasn’t appropriate.
For one, Grandma Li still had surviving descendants.
The Jin Corporation shares were, without a doubt, the most valuable among the assets that Grandma Li had left for others to inherit.
Once Iris inherited Grandma Li’s shares, she would instantly bee a global billionaire.

The lawyer nodded and cleared his throat once again.
"I, Li Zhiruo, have decided to leave my pany shares to my granddaughter-in-law, Long Xiulan, after much careful consideration. Iris and the others glanced at Grandpa Lu. The old man gave them a mischievous grin.
The lawyer continued, "Once Lu Jianhong is gone, Jin Corporation will enter an unprecedented crisis. Most of the public aren’t aware of the existence of the Cross Academy’s exclusive business network but insiders know about it. We know it. Jin Corporation has bee the corporate titan that it is because of its founders, my late husband and Lu Jianhong, were both Cross Academy alumni.
"Even when Lu Jianhong had already retired from the pany and given the full helm to my grandson Jin Liwei, Jin Corporation has remained stable for decades because of Lu Jianhong’s direct connection to Cross Academy. Once he passes away, Jin Corporation would have to fight hard to maintain its membership in the academy’s exclusive business network. The petition is intense.
