Reflecting on what he learned in the Room of Requirent, Ian returns to the Ravenclaw Common Room where the mischievous bird at the entrance is attempting to challenge a little witch Ian is acquainted with.
Qiu Zhang is definitely one of the outstanding ones among the Ravenclaw little wizards, but when faced with a course she’s never encountered, she can only knock her head against the bronze eagle head in frustration.

When it cos to advanced mathematical problems, knocking your head won’t yield the answers—Ian’s arrival becos Qiu Zhang’s savior, and the bronze eagle reluctantly opens the door for them both.

Currently in Ravenclaw, there are rumors circulating about a "mysterious evil person", and even so senior wizards have created so "torture instrunts" just waiting to catch the culprit who led the bronze eagle astray. Ian has seen those things, and this is why he hasn’t dared to think about turning himself in for a reward.
