Now reading: Chapter 496 - 149: Vid: Walking Through Fire (Part 2) from Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying, a Fantasy novel by Yamaha.

Vid, who had deliberately distanced himself earlier, glanced at him without speaking and walked over.

He was uneasy and hadn’t noticed that so people had brought the blue flas around. Grindelwald saw it and was about to raise his hand to extinguish the flas but saw Vid calmly walking through the flas without any harm, and the smile in his eyes deepened.

He waved his Magic Wand, no longer maintaining those dangerous blue fires, and walked out of this place.

As Vid was about to walk out the door, he seed to hear an incredibly desperate shout in his ear. He instinctively turned back and saw that the "person" with red eyes was staring at him, with an uncontrollable intense longing in their eyes.

Vid raised his Magic Wand, pointing at that person.

The Dark Wizard in the black robe hastily stopped him: "Wait, you can’t—"

"Bang!"

With a muffled sound, the Dark Wizard suddenly turned his head, only to see the person in the glass cage explode into a cloud of blood mist, dead to the point of no return, yet the flying head bore a strangely satisfied smile.

Seeing this, the other test subjects imdiately beca agitated, and many rushed to the glass walls, banging hard and gesturing wildly, pleading for Vid to give them such a swift and straightforward death.

The Dark Wizard mumbled, "You fellas... really want to break away from that side, huh..."

—What breakaway?

Vid looked at him inexplicably.

At this mont, he was still imrsed in the emotions of just taking action, his breathing rapid, and the Magic Wand trembling lightly in his hand, while his ears seed to echo with the roaring sound of rushing blood.

Vid raised the Magic Wand again, intending to cast himself a calming Spell, but his arm was suddenly grabbed by the Dark Wizard.

"Alright, alright, killing one could still be called a montary impulse. If you continue to violate Mr. Grindelwald’s orders, even you will be punished."

The Dark Wizard quickly spoke as he pushed him out the door: "But I really like your character. Let’s have a drink together when this is over! Oh, by the way, my na is Antoine Moro. Don’t forget it, Gray."

Being suddenly called by his na was more effective than any Spell, and Vid instantly cald down.

He looked deeply at the other person. Aside from being close to 1.8 ters tall, the only visible feature was a silver four-leaf clover ring on his hand.

Vid followed the force leaving the room, only to see Grindelwald standing in the corridor, looking back at him, his gaze seemingly unsurprised.

"Let’s go," he said.

Vid silently followed him and discovered that Grindelwald was quite familiar with the terrain of this place. He led Vid through a few turns and purposefully pushed open a door.

Inside was surprisingly a surveillance room.

The staff inside were nowhere to be seen, and both the desk and the floor were in disarray. Most surveillance images had stopped working due to Magic Power, displaying a snowstorm mix of black and white.

Only about a third of the caras were still functioning, showing the Witch Pure Party’s battle with the opposing soldiers in various places.

Both sides suffered casualties, and the Wizards did not have an overwhelming advantage. Although the Iron Armor Spell could block regular bullets, one must react in ti.

Grindelwald relaxedly sat in a chair, letting out a long breath, the once vigorous vitality rapidly declining, with fatigue and weakness emanating from his entire being.

Seeing Vid looking at him, Grindelwald smiled and said, "Surprised? I’m not as strong as people imagine. If you were to take action now, you might be able to send back to Nimongard... or to Hell."

Vid could feel that he was genuinely sincere at this mont, and that fatigue and powerlessness were not at all feigned.

All the Witch Pure Party mbers were sent out by Grindelwald, leaving him only with Vid. And Vid’s eyes told him that there was no one hidden around, lying in ambush.

He removed his hood, looked at the notorious Dark Wizard, and asked, "If you think I might take action, why didn’t you leave a few more people? Or are you willing to let your career just begin and then abruptly end?"

"My career?" Grindelwald laughed. "Do you know what I want to do?"

Vid’s eyes flickered.

Grindelwald’s forr slogan, how many in the Magic World didn’t know it besides the slackers or fools?

Without waiting for Vid to answer, Grindelwald gave the answer himself—

"I once indeed wanted Wizards to rule the Muggles—a once-in-a-lifeti great opportunity, when the whole world was in turmoil, and there were collaborators among the Muggle leaders... But alas, both he and I failed."

"What do Wizards have now? Just a few decades of peaceful and easy living has made them so timid, lazy, and extrely incompetent."

Grindelwald looked disdainfully at the surveillance footage, where a Wizard suddenly t a soldier. He hadn’t even raised his Magic Wand before the opponent’s bullet punched through his stomach.

If a friend hadn’t imdiately rushed over, this Wizard would probably have been shot in the head in the next second.

Wizards getting injured or killed due to being unable to react, spells not being practiced enough, or failing to aim accurately were all too common. Grindelwald felt his heart fla with anger, wanting several tis to shatter those failures into pieces.

Thinking back to the seasoned elites under his command back then, then looking at these green youngsters now, Grindelwald held back from cursing but couldn’t help but let out a long sigh.
