But as soon as he stepped out, he ran into Delaine.
"Finished?" the serious wizard asked, looking at him.
"Yes," Vid said.
"Shall we walk for a bit?" Delaine gestured with his head.
Vid hesitated for a mont and accepted the invitation.
"Today, we broke into another Muggle celebrity’s private villa."
After walking for a while, Delaine said, "That guy wasn’t involved in those despicable experints, but he held dozens of young girls captive, forcing them to sell their bodies."
Vid didn’t ask about the Muggle’s fate but instead asked, "What about those girls?"
"We erased their mories with the Forgetfulness Spell and sent them to a nearby Muggle hospital," Delaine said. "A small portion of the money from that celebrity’s safe was taken out, enough to cover all their dical expenses."
Upon hearing this, Vid felt a bit touched.
Initially, the Witch Pure Party always discarded all the victims, letting them beco part of the Ministry of Magic’s problems.
And the Ministry of Magic’s approach was to send those hard by magic for treatnt, while ordinary injured patients were handed over to the local Muggle governnt.
As for what would happen to those patients afterward, the Ministry of Magic, despite shouting about protecting Muggles, actually didn’t care.
But now, the Witch Pure Party finally understood that for Muggles, healing is a long and painful process, and the exorbitant dical expenses can overwhelm many ordinary families. However, for the Witch Pure Party, solving this issue is a trivial task.
They even learned a new use for the Forgetfulness Spell—not just to hide the Magic World, but also to let those victims forget their painful mories and regain hope in their lives.
This latter idea wasn’t Vid’s proposal but rather the result of so soft-hearted wizards who discovered that the victims, once rescued, often chose to commit suicide, thus prompting them to do so.
Vid said emotionally, "You’ve changed the fate of many people—though they won’t rember, this honor will never fade."
"Honor..."
Delaine pondered the word and suddenly asked, "Is this what you wanted to see, Vid Gray?"
"...What?" Vid’s heart skipped a beat as he raised his head and asked in confusion.
"Lately, I’ve been wondering if you were forced to cooperate with us or if you are using us to achieve your own goals,"
Delaine said calmly, "You also want those guys dead, don’t you?"
"The dirty, ugly nature of humanity is fully displayed in those Muggles, but under the protection of power and money, Muggle law can’t punish them."
"To protect the Magic World, neither the Ministry of Magic nor Dumbledore will let them face the deserved consequences—only we, only we are not afraid to kill."
Delaine looked into Vid’s eyes and straightforwardly asked, "So, isn’t it that we chose you, but rather you chose the Witch Pure Party, is that right?"
Vid took a deep breath and said helplessly and innocently, "Did I force you to kidnap ?"
"I just think those guys are indeed inhuman and immoral, so I’ve been diligent in completing the tasks."
"Or do you think I should have been passive, secretly sabotaging you, and only after suffering a few rounds of Crucio should I cooperate, so it would seem more righteous?"
Delaine wore an expression of "say whatever you like," shifted his gaze, and casually handed over a piece of parchnt.
Vid: "...Friendship Book?"
"The latest model, can store information for a long ti until it’s read and then disappears."
Delaine said, "Take it... even if you return to Hogwarts in the future, you can still find if you encounter a similar situation."
"Why?" Vid couldn’t help but ask.
Vorvillet and Moro offering help was one thing, but Delaine usually didn’t interact much with him and seed to regard him as so sort of mastermind; even at this mont, he didn’t have much of a smile, yet suddenly he was being so generous.
"Mr. Grindelwald asked to communicate with you more." Delaine said frankly, "I don’t mind being used, but I want to know... how can a child like you be valued by that gentleman?"
