[Hi, Michael:
Thanks to Dumbledore, I’ve returned safely, everything is fine, and I’ll be back at school on Sunday night.
The Friendship Book is not with at the mont, so I can only choose to write to you, and I’ll tell you other details when we et.
Please let everyone know I’m safe, and I hope you are all well.
Best wishes, Vid]
Vid signed his na, and once the ink dried, he folded the letter, tucked it into an envelope, and watched the owl fly out the window with it.
He actually wanted to go to his previous apartnt to gather his things left there, and all the Christmas gifts were piled up there too. But as soon as Vid showed a hint of wanting to go out, Fiona tightly grabbed his wrist, her fingers particularly cold.
"Not now." Vid comfortingly patted her arm and said, "Tomorrow morning, I can ask Mr. Moody to accompany . He used to be the greatest Auror at the Ministry of Magic. With him around, you can rest assured."
"But Moody hasn’t been ho recently," Ferdinand frowned and said.
Then he thought, since Vid is back, if Moody went out to rescue Vid, he should return soon.
Ferdinand then changed his tone, "How about this, I’ll accompany you to visit Moody tomorrow morning, and if he’s not ho... we can still contact Lupin."
Ferdinand also had a way to contact Lupin.
After this kidnapping incident, the couple didn’t dare let Vid go out alone for the ti being, not even to the house in London, which they currently didn’t feel good about.
Even though Vid could turn into a Peregrine Falcon and fly over in no ti, or even use Apparition, he still smiled, nodded, and agreed.
Vid sent off the letter to Michael, sat by the desk near the window, and sorted through his books—books that recorded Dark Magic, even if they were replicas, were not suitable for ordinary people to see.
Not only because their content is dark and dangerous, but also because these books, due to the magic recorded on them, inherently have the ability to harm others, so would entice people to read, so would bring disaster, and others would cause auditory and visual hallucinations.
So these books must normally be sealed with proper magic, and there are certain techniques for reading them.
Like Hagrid’s beloved "The Monster Book of Monsters," if you don’t stroke its spine, it behaves no differently from a mad dog, and could even bite off fingers.
Halfway through sorting, Vid vaguely heard the explosive sound of firecrackers, he alertly looked out the window, thinking perhaps Moody had returned, but the next mont he saw two familiar figures walking towards the front door.
"Sirius! Remus!"
Vid leaned out the window, waving happily. The two adult wizards looked up at him and then waved back with smiles.
Both appeared travel-worn, and had been talking in low tones, looking sowhat grave, but upon seeing Vid, their expressions instantly relaxed.
Vid quickly ran downstairs, and when passing the study, Ferdinand opened the door and asked, "Vid, what’s the matter?"
"Sirius and Remus are here!" Vid replied.
By the ti they reached downstairs, Fiona had already opened the door and greeted the two guests.
"Good afternoon, Madam Grey."
"Long ti no see, Mr. Gray."
They said with smiles, then eagerly walked over to Vid, who was unhard, and sighed in relief.
"Great, you’re okay!" Lupin spread his arms, giving him a strong hug, and said with a slight tremor in his voice, "I’m sorry, Vid."
"It’s not your fault, Remus." Vid comfortingly patted him on the back, saying, "You know, it was Grindelwald."
"Don’t always have that gloomy look, Moonface."
Sirius put a hand on their shoulders, winked, and said, "What an adventure, right? Vid, I really wish I were you—facing the Dark Lord who ruled Europe fifty years ago, it must be thrilling!"
Lupin: "..."
He silently rolled his eyes at Sirius—as if to say, in front of soone’s parents, what are you blathering about?
Vid couldn’t help but laugh.
...
The Greys knew they had things to discuss, so after preparing desserts and tea, they returned to the study upstairs, leaving the space for the three of them.
After a conversation, Sirius and Lupin learned about Vid’s recent experiences, while Vid also learned about their tracking of the Witch Pure Party’s movents, even reaching the castle.
"We thought those guys would surely trap you in the Witch Pure Party’s lair, never expected Grindelwald actually took you to the battlefield."
Sirius frowned, his gaze turning sharper.
Lupin patted Vid on the shoulder, saying, "I guess it mustn’t be a nice mory. Vid, if... I an... if they forced you to hurt anyone, don’t feel burdened, we all know you had no choice."
"Don’t worry, I only did so technician work." Vid said with a smile, "Even during their battles, Grindelwald just had stay by his side..."
He paused, then continued, "Actually, I feel... he must have known about your rescue plan for a long ti, and intended for to leave with Dumbledore from the start."
As he spoke, Lupin was watching his expression, seeing Vid’s eyes remain clear and candid, his deanor free of gloom; he knew Vid was speaking truthfully, and finally his mind was truly put at ease.
