Early the next morning, Vid went straight to Professor McGonagall’s office to retrieve the Ti Turner he had been longing for.
"I’ve heard all about your situation." Professor McGonagall gave a smile of approval and encouragent, saying warmly, "Welco back, Vid."
"Thank you, Professor." Vid hung the golden turner back around his neck and tucked it into his clothes, smiling, "And also, I must thank you for excusing from last week’s paper."
"The knowledge about turning inanimate objects into living beings, I believe, is already in your head; writing it down is unnecessary."
Professor McGonagall looked at Vid and asked, "Vid, I assu you have received your new schedule?"
"Yes," Vid said, "It’s pretty much the sa as last sester’s course arrangent."
"Oh, because it was written by the Magic Quill, which can’t think about overly complex issues. For example, so students’ schedules need suitable adjustnts to be more efficient."
Professor McGonagall drew her Magic Wand from her sleeve, lightly tapped on the parchnt on the table, and lines of text appeared out of nowhere.
"I know most of the third-year courses don’t hold much significance for you. Here is the content and schedule of my classes for other grades this sester, Vid, you can choose appropriate tis to attend the courses you need."
Vid received it with surprise, looking at the schedule details down to the minute, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Professor McGonagall didn’t say anything further, looked at the ti, and said, "Alright, the first class is about to begin, you should head to class—rember, even with a Ti Turner in hand, don’t abuse the ti."

The first period in the morning was still three overlapping electives, though for Vid, the classroom content posed no significant difficulty,
In Professor Trelawney’s Divination Class, if you ignored her self-aggrandizing content, all it required was flipping through a book.
Vid had quite a talent in this area; even if he didn’t look at those book-anticipated knowledge points, his divination results were much more accurate than his classmates’.
Muggle Studies, even less needed to be said; with ample Muggle experience, even the professor teaching it, Professor Burbage, ought to learn from him; Vid heard at least five mistakes in one class.
Of course, compared to other wizards, Professor Burbage was already a rare master of Muggle studies and a sympathizer with Non-magical People.
Nurological Divination, even less needed to be said, Vid’s mathematical level was enough to crush everyone at Hogwarts; this course, which caused headaches for most, was just a relaxing number ga for him.
Maybe the professors had all discussed beforehand, but apart from Defense Against the Dark Arts and Magic Potion Class, the other mandatory course professors made an exception once, allowing Vid to skip courses where he had already mastered all the knowledge and spend ti on more aningful things.
When he ran into Professor Snape in the hallway, despite his scowling face, he patiently explained why he couldn’t give him the privilege of skipping class:
"Potion-making is a highly in-depth and rigorous discipline that tolerates no carelessness."
"It requires the maker to be extrely precise, serious, and skillful; every detail is critical—details are the key to the success of a potion."
"Even if you’ve made the sa potion a thousand tis, when you make it for the thousand and first ti, you still need to stay entirely focused, maintaining the concentration and reverence of the first ti."
"So I absolutely don’t allow any student to miss a class without a valid reason." Snape concluded coldly, his eyes as sharp as knives, "And you’re no exception, Vid."
Vid: "...All right, Professor."
Well, actually, he wasn’t very surprised... though Vid didn’t plan to skip Professor Snape’s class in the first place.
Even though most of the professors’ class content could be found in books, and they occasionally made small mistakes, Professor Snape didn’t.
He demanded precision from students, and he was more precise than anyone else, ticulously writing every step of potion-making on the blackboard, occasionally sharing so of his own tips from years of summarizing, like tiny diamonds hidden in the dull course.
However, apart from Hermione, who wished she could jot down the punctuation marks, most of Vid’s classmates started bustling about after just looking at the introduction.
They muddled through here and there, rely correcting various small mistakes already demanded all their ingenuity, let alone taking pains to listen to whatever cutting comnts the professor made, ultimately turning in sothing unsure of whether it would pass.
During the first period class, when other students saw Vid enter, they were sowhat surprised, but soon they naturally greeted and began listening to the lecture.
Most people didn’t know what his story was; considering Vid’s usually aloof deanor, few would tactlessly try to inquire about his "affairs."
By noon, Vid briefly explained what happened to Harry, the Weasley twins, and a few others in the know. None thought too much, just glad that he could return safely.
"Seems like the Witch Pure Party is better than the Death Eaters my parents talked about," Fred said earnestly while heading to the Great Hall for lunch, "At least they don’t keep minors back as forced labor."
George agreed, "What’s the difference between an unasurable villain and a bandit?"
