With the Ministry of Magic’s promotion (perhaps along with Dumbledore’s), the news of Kael becoming a Senior Ministerial Assistant quickly spread throughout the Magic Realm, resulting in him receiving nurous letters from various places.
Among them were people he knew, like the ever-inquisitive McPhail, who sent a set of fine robes along with his letter, calling it a gift.
"You can’t attend those important occasions in your school uniform," he wrote in the letter.
But Kael felt that McPhail was more likely gloating, just an intuition without evidence.
Besides that, most of the nas in the letters were unfamiliar to Kael, though the content suggested they were mostly people from the Ministry of Magic.
"Oh, Cuthbert Mockridge," Cedric pointed at one of the letters: "My father ntioned him to ; he’s the head of the Goblin Liaison Office.
"And there’s Gilbert Wimple, from the Committee on Experintal Charms, we t him during our trip to France."
Cedric sifted through the mountain of letters, searching for nas he recognized.
After searching for a while, his hand suddenly stopped.
"Hufflepuff Common Room, second armchair on the left, for Cedric Digory."
"A letter for ?" Cedric was montarily flustered, then realized that among the flurry of owls delivering letters earlier, one must have accidentally mixed his letter in with Kael’s.
However, after seeing the sender’s na, Cedric didn’t think much further and directly opened the envelope.
"Who sent it?" Kael asked.
"Oh, it’s from my dad," Cedric said, "he’s probably wanting to ask about..."
Cedric’s voice grew softer, his expression increasingly puzzled.
"Strange, my dad says he’ll send so books about Fantastic Beasts tomorrow, and he ntions he’s looking forward to working with .
Cedric murmured: "Could it be that he also wants to work at the joke shop? That doesn’t make sense; putting aside whether Fred and George would agree, it also has nothing to do with Fantastic Beasts."
"Maybe you’re going to work in the Departnt for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures," Kael said offhandedly: "It’s a good idea to read more related books now."
"No way." Cedric shook his head, "I already told him earlier that I’m going to help at the joke shop, and he agreed... wait."
Cedric suddenly looked at Kael, as if he realized sothing, "Could this have sothing to do with you?"
"Ah, yes indeed." Kael said casually as he opened letters, "I wrote a letter to Mr. Digory at noon asking if he would like to work with you.
You know, my position can provide so help, and your grades are excellent, it’s not difficult.
"Looks like Mr. Digory agreed."
Cedric’s eye twitched a little, "But I’ve already promised Fred and George that I’d help them run the joke shop."
"You don’t have to worry about that, they’ll join you... oh, here it is."
Kael waved an envelope in front of Cedric; he noticed it was sent by Mrs. Weasley.
Once Kael opened it, Cedric curiously peeked.
"Dear Kael:
I read today’s newspaper, saw the accolades directed at you; honestly, I was thrilled but not at all surprised, because I know you’re fully capable of handling this job.
By the way, I do wish Fred and George could find a proper stable job, but I hope they can enter the Ministry of Magic on their own rits, not through your help.
Arthur said many in the Ministry are unhappy about you taking on such an important role; they’re all waiting for you to make a mistake, so I must decline your kindness.
"Wish you a pleasant ti at Hogwarts."
...
Waiting for to make a mistake?
That would be fantastic!
Kael quickly grabbed a piece of parchnt and wrote:
"Don’t worry, Mrs. Weasley, a Senior Ministerial Assistant has the responsibility of finding excellent staff for the Ministry of Magic, I assure you, Fred and George fully et the requirents, and Minister Fudge has agreed.
As long as Mr. Weasley completes the employnt application, they can directly join the Ministry of Magic after graduation."
Kael summoned Ladon to send off the written letter.
Cedric was completely at a loss for words.
He looked at Kael, hesitated for a long ti before saying faintly, "Fred and George will kill you."
"No worries." Kael waved his hand nonchalantly, "They aren’t a match for , not to ntion I have Mrs. Weasley as my backing, so I’m not concerned at all."
"But opening a joke shop has always been their dream."
"That doesn’t conflict; there’s no rule saying you can’t open a joke shop if you join the Ministry of Magic... At that ti, I’ll have Dobby and Kreacher help look after the store, and we can provide so products for free, definitely won’t delay the joke shop’s normal operations."
Kael squinted and said, "Plus, they laughed all day long upon hearing about my appointnt in the Ministry of Magic, so they must be quite fond of working there.
"Tsk tsk, working and earning two salaries, they should be secretly thrilled about such a good deal."
Cedric sighed.
All that can be said is Fred and George brought this on themselves; they called Kael "Percy’s Boss" and "Ministerial Candidate" all day, and Kael’s retaliation ca in the evening.
Cedric could hardly imagine Fred and George sitting quietly in an office handling docunts and writing reports.
