Now reading: Chapter 809 - 705: Forgetfulness Spell and the Missing Wand from Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard, a Fantasy novel by Short-tailed civet.

Scrimgeour didn’t have any doubts about this either.

All wizards knew that Dumbledore valued Kael highly, so it was perfectly normal for him to teach him so magic, like the fla magic at the Triwizard Tournant that shocked everyone.

However, that fla magic would leave a straight path on the ground, which didn’t match the traces left at the scene. It was probably another kind of magic.

After Kael finished speaking, Scrimgeour looked at the contents on the parchnt and asked so detailed questions, all of which Kael answered perfectly.

"Sorry." Half an hour later, Scrimgeour looked at the three full parchnts and said to Kael, "Because that Death Eater lost a part of his mory, we can only ask you about what happened."

As he said this, his eyes flickered slightly.

"It must have been the Death Eater himself," Kael said calmly. "When I was chasing him, I saw him use a Forgetfulness Spell on himself. You’ll know once you find his wand."

"We’re still looking for it," Scrimgeour said.

Chris frowned, "Rufus, you don’t suspect that Kael hid the wand, do you?"

"No, you mustn’t misunderstand," Scrimgeour said with a smile. "Those Death Eaters wanted to kill Kael; he has no reason to do such a thing, right?

"I guess the Death Eater wanted to hide sothing... We’ve encountered this situation many tis before, where a Dark Wizard uses a Forgetfulness Spell on themselves or destroys their wand before being caught, trying to cover up their cris and escape trial."

"In that case, isn’t the Ministry of Magic helpless?" Kael asked.

For the Ministry of Magic, detecting the wand can directly determine if the other party has used illegal charms, which is an important part of the trial process.

"It’s just a bit troubleso; what they’ve done won’t disappear along with the wand," Scrimgeour said. "Besides, they can’t use the Forgetfulness Spell on everyone; we can always find new evidence."

"Wait..." Chris suddenly thought of sothing and said, "If the Death Eater used a Forgetfulness Spell on himself, wouldn’t we be unable to find out where their base is from him!"

"I shouldn’t be telling you this," Scrimgeour hesitated for a mont, but finally said softly, "Fortunately, his mories in this aspect are abundant; a single Forgetfulness Spell can’t completely wipe them clean."

"So you found it?"

"Yes, we found it. We used so special ans to learn from him that he and five other Death Eaters had been hiding in an alley in Wiltshire."

"Do you need my help?" Chris said seriously.

"Thank you, Chris," Scrimgeour sighed. "But half an hour ago, when I rushed there with all the Aurors, the Death Eaters were already gone.

"Obviously they also learned of their companion’s capture and escaped in advance."

"That’s really unfortunate." Chris shook his head.

"It’s okay, we’ll catch them eventually."

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Accompanied by a series of knocks, several Aurors hurriedly walked in.

Chris stood up, "Rufus, if there’s nothing else..."

"Ah, all the questions have been asked, please go ahead," Scrimgeour said. "And Kael, if you want, you can co and work at the Auror Office anyti."

"Alright," Kael nodded and said.

Then the two left the room and took the elevator back to the Departnt for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.

...

"That was close."

After closing the office door, Chris turned and glanced at Kael, "When you took out the wand, my heart was in my throat.

"If I’m not mistaken, you were the one who used the Forgetfulness Spell, right?"

"Why do you say that?"

"You underestimate ; do you think I can’t even recognize Dragon Fire?" Chris raised an eyebrow.

"Heh heh," Kael chuckled, "I had no choice; in that situation, I definitely needed so help."

"I’m not blaming you," Chris said. "Besides, I’ve already helped you cover it up. I told Scrimgeour that the traces at the scene were from a Magic Fla."

"Did he believe it?"

"He probably did," Chris said. "The flas of different Fire Dragons vary. The Norwegian Ridgeback primarily relies on its powerful body for hunting, so its fire is relatively weaker compared to other Fire Dragons.

"Scrimgeour hasn’t seen the flas of a Norwegian Ridgeback, so he naturally didn’t doubt it."

"Thank you," Kael breathed a sigh of relief. "I really had no choice. Although with the speed of a Firebolt, I could surely escape, but Cedric was still there, I couldn’t just leave him behind."

"I’m not blaming you, otherwise I wouldn’t have helped you cover it up," Chris waved his hand. "I just think you were too bold; what if Scrimgeour really checked your wand?"

"He wouldn’t," Kael said confidently. "Even though I don’t particularly like my position as Senior Ministerial Assistant, I have to admit, sotis it’s quite convenient.

"Besides, even if Scrimgeour didn’t care about that and insisted on checking, it wouldn’t matter; I didn’t use my wand for the Forgetfulness Spell."

"Wandless Spellcasting for the Forgetfulness Spell?" Chris was sowhat surprised.

"Yes," Kael said, "I’m just not very skilled at it, so the process may be a bit rough."
