But she sat at the dining table for more than an hour, even Harry from the basent had wobbled up, yet Kael still hadn’t returned.

And it wasn’t just Kael; Mr. Weasley, Lupin, Sirius, and the other children of the Weasley family hadn’t co back either.

"Oh, I suppose they must be working overti for sothing." Mrs. Weasley glanced at the ti for the seventh ti, managed a weak smile, and said, "Let’s just eat, no need to wait for them."

She took out her wand and waved it, and the once cold beef stew quickly beca steaming hot.

Then she picked up a spoon and served the stew into everyone’s bowls.

But it was obvious that Mrs. Weasley was rather distracted, spilling the broth several tis.

"I’m sure they’re fine," Hermione said softly, "They must be very busy at work. You-Know-Who... he certainly wouldn’t dare to attack the Ministry of Magic, would he?"

"You’re right." Mrs. Weasley smiled, "Hurry up and eat, then get so rest."

"Mum..." Ron wanted to say sothing, but Hermione slightly shook her head at him.

No one spoke after that, and they hurriedly finished their dinner.

The children went upstairs, while Mrs. Weasley remained in the living room, glancing now and then at the entrance.

"Strange, why haven’t they co back yet." At the stairway corner, Ginny and Ron peeked out, eyeing the silent door.

"I don’t know, maybe the Ministry of Magic has so operation..." Hermione gave them a concerned look and said, "Don’t worry, Mr. Weasley and the others will surely be fine, even if You-Know-Who..."

Hermione’s words trailed off and she mumbled instead, "If anything serious happens, soone will definitely bring us news. Let’s not forget, this is the headquarters of the Order of Phoenix.

"Anyway, let’s head back to our rooms."

"I’m not going back." Ginny stubbornly crouched down at the spot, "I’m waiting here."

" too," Ron said.

Although Hermione made a lot of sense, now with most of the Weasley family mbers outside, how could they possibly be calm enough to return to their rooms and sleep?

The two stayed hidden at the stairway corner, along with Harry. Even though he had been tornted by the Wampus Cat all day, he still wanted to wait here for Sirius.

Hermione didn’t say anything else, quietly staying with them and waiting.

Ti passed slowly, and soon it was late at night.

...

anwhile, in Diagon Alley.

The once bustling street was now empty, with shop doors tightly shut, and the surroundings echoed with deafening explosions and shouts.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A Killing Curse flew over, shattering the sign of Eeylops Owl Emporium into pieces.

A middle-aged wizard, under the cover of two Aurors, moved from the main street into a small alley. Behind them was a group of Death Eaters in black cloaks and masks.

"Hand them over!" The leading Death Eater rasped.

"You can forget about it!" Tonks waved her wand, sending a red light into the sky.

"Over there!" Soone shouted not far away.

"Kill her!" The Death Eater roared.

But before they could raise their wands, more Aurors appeared, riding brooms and swarming in from all directions.

"Expelliarmus!"

"Stupefy!"

To avoid the spells flying from all around, the Death Eaters had to abandon the plan to kill Tonks and instead aid their wands at the Aurors above, turning the whole street into chaos.

And the middle-aged wizard who had just ran into Knockturn Alley wasn’t truly safe either; in the shadows, several pairs of eyes were fixed on him, creeping closer.

Nervously, the man pulled out his wand, just about to leave when he heard a voice from behind.

"I suggest you don’t go further in, Mr. Fosco; the depths of Knockturn Alley aren’t much safer than outside."

"Who’s there!"

Startled, the man quickly turned, pointing his wand at the newcor.

"Don’t be nervous, Mr. Fosco," Kael ca forward calmly and said, "It’s ."

"Prove it!" Florean Fortescue still hadn’t let down his guard, "Prove you’re not disguised with Polyjuice Potion."

"Voldemort is a noseless fool," Kael replied.

Hearing Voldemort’s na, Florean Fortescue shivered instinctively but finally lowered his wand.

Now he could be sure that the person in front of him was real; after all, Death Eaters wouldn’t dare say sothing like that about Voldemort.

"Sorry."

"It’s alright, I understand." Kael stepped beside Fosco.

Bill, Charlie, Fred, and George spread out, driving away those with ill intentions.

"Go ho and sleep," Fred looked at those hiding in the shadows, his tone carrying a hint of threat. "Or tomorrow, I’ll co to check Knockturn Alley every hour, and I guarantee you won’t sell anything."

A rustling and hushed curses filled the air, but Fred and George paid no heed.

Gradually, the sounds faded, and the alley returned to its calm.

"Didn’t expect it to be resolved so easily," George said with a smile.

"They’re not afraid of you," Bill looked at him, "but of the Aurors and Death Eaters outside."

"I know," George shrugged, "but there are no Aurors here now, only us."
