"Master of Dreams and Mists, Bridge between Life and Death, the Eternal Symbol

of Luck—

As you can see, these are the grand titles mortals have bestowed upon the

Divine. As a wizard who counts himself among the fortunate, I have traveled

alongside Him into magical territories hitherto unknown and untrodden by our

kind. Now, I shall tell you His story."

Sean turned the page of Dreams and Deities, his fingers tracing the crisp

parchnt.

"Before I delve into my tale, it would be best if you have already read 'Dream

Stories.' I had originally intended to title this volu 'Dream Stories: The

Revised Edition,' but reality is often a cruel editor. The publisher refused to

grant the copyright, citing the fact that I had once accidentally demolished

their storefront. Truly, it was an honest mistake made while attempting to

relocate a runaway Erumpent..."

A ghost of a smile touched Sean's lips. He continued reading more closely.

"The Divine is a cat. Of this, I am certain. Or perhaps a powerful magical

creature of unknown origin? That remains a mystery. But great magic always

leaves a trail. If you are ever fortunate enough to cross His path, this book

will serve as your guide.

A wizard often carries conflicting beliefs. When you step into that Divine

realm—The Lands Between—rember this: Pure intent will guide you. It is my

belief that only a wizard with a clean soul will find favor with the Divine.

Should a butcher or a murderer stumble into that realm, they may find it less of

a dream and more of a brutal execution."

Why? Sean wondered.

Then he paused. He rembered the fragnt of Voldemort's soul he had

encountered, and the horrific fate that soul had t when he dragged Harry into

the dreamscape. He looked up, glancing at the back of Newt's head through the

crowd. He didn't know how the old Hufflepuff had arrived at this conclusion, but

it was remarkably accurate.

"If angels exist, then there is a part of the wizard's soul that mirrors them.

Conversely, the soul is not a single facet. Within us exists an 'Inverse Soul'—a

dark mirror that magical historians often associate with the demonic.

According to fragnts of ancient lore, this Inverse Soul is either the Devil

himself or one of his most loyal sentinels. When an Inverse Soul is unmasked or

cornered, it typically flees through a window; it screams at the night and

vanishes into the void. This motif appears repeatedly in the lusina

legends—when the 'demon-woman' is discovered, she flees through the roof or

the sky."

Sean felt a chill of realization. Magical history was vast, and Newt's words had

been verified by reality. In the world he knew, Voldemort often behaved exactly

like that—screaming in fury as he fled into the darkness of the night.

"When a wizard enters the Divine realm, we can be certain of one thing: they are

naked. Only the soul remains exposed. There, the Angel and the Demon within must

fight to the finish. Sadly, the Angel does not always win; as ti stretches on,

the Angel's retreat is often inevitable. Therefore, it is rare for a wizard to

enter the Divine realm, and even rarer for them to remain. Except... for the

Divine Himself."

"Sean!"

Hermione and Justin ca running over, clutching their signed copies. They

looked at Sean, then at the black cat on the cover, then back at Sean.

Hermione's face was practically glowing with suspicion. Justin looked

hesitant, his mouth opening and closing as he searched for a way to ask the

question.

"This cat..." Hermione began, her cheeks puffing out.

"It's a black cat," Sean said smoothly, looking up from the book with an

unbothered expression.

"Thank you, Sean. My eyesight hasn't failed yet," Hermione snapped. She

squinted at him, trying to find a crack in his mask.

Sean simply closed the book. "I'm going to buy this one."

"Fine. Then..."

Hermione swallowed her questions for now. She knew Sean; if he didn't want to

say, he wouldn't. But that didn't an she was giving up. She knew two other

people who had experienced these "dreams"—Ginny and Hannah. She would find her

own answers.

Diagon Alley, with its long cobblestone street, was ho to the most

intoxicating shops in the world. Any wizard could step into the back courtyard

of the Leaky Cauldron, tap the third brick from the left, and watch the gateway

to another world open.

Among the most popular stops was the broomstick shop, Quality Quidditch

Supplies. Today was no exception; the storefront was mobbed.

Harry and Ron, desperate to see what the fuss was about, managed to wedge

themselves through the crowd. Sean stayed back, leaning against a wall and

continuing his reading.

The boys finally reached the display stand. Resting on a pedestal was the most

magnificent broomstick they had ever seen.

"A sample... just arrived today," a square-jawed wizard told his companion in an

awestruck voice.

"Is it the fastest in the world, Dad?" a younger boy asked, tugging on his

father's arm.

"The Irish International side just placed an order for seven of these beauties!"

the shopkeeper announced proudly. "They're going to be the stars of the World

Cup!"

A large witch moved out of the way, and Harry finally saw the placard:

THE FIREBOLT This state-of-the-art racing broom features a streamlined,

superfine ash handle, diamond-polished and hand-numbered. Each birch twig in the

tail has been individually selected and honed to aerodynamic perfection, giving

the Firebolt unsurpassable balance and pinpoint precision. The Firebolt can

accelerate from 0 to 150 mph in ten seconds and incorporates an unbreakable

braking charm. Price on Request.

Price on Request... Harry started doing the math in his head. He knew he had a

small fortune in Gringotts, but the Firebolt looked like it cost more than a

house.

As Harry stared longingly at the broom, he didn't notice the other wizards

around him. He certainly didn't notice the large, shaggy black dog watching him

from the shadows of a nearby alley.

Sirius Black stood there, holding a copy of Dreams and Deities in his mind. He

watched his godson with an aching heart, and then his gaze drifted to the wizard

Harry followed—Sean Green.

Sirius didn't know it yet, but in the dreams he so desperately craved for peace,

it was all too easy to get lost. Because a wizard's soul has two sides, and when

the soul is "naked," the battle begins.

"When a wizard enters the Divine realm... the Angel and the Demon within must

fight to the finish..."
