Behind The Spotlight Chapter 233
May arrived.
It had been weeks since Morning with Jennifer was aired live. It was a huge success, and Nation TV gave it full support. The answer was simple: the viewership rating was high, so high that the executives barely needed convincing. Numbers always spoke louder than opinions in television.
From 9 am to 10 am, millions of people were watching a single show, which was Morning with Jennifer. It had beco a routine that was part of viewers' mornings. Whenever they had breakfast, coffee, and even taking a shit, Morning With Jennifer was on their television. It dominated that tislot and defeated other competitors. The show had a steady rating of 9 million viewers, a number that made Nation TV salivate.
Morning with Jennifer had a light-hearted yet funny vibe, perfect for a morning program. The show invited celebrities and ordinary guests who had inspiring stories, filling each episode with heart and entertainnt, making viewers laugh, smile, and sotis feel emotional.
Furthermore, because the show had the biggest viewership in the 9 am to 10 am tislot, brands preferred the show to endorse their products.
For a morning show, Morning with Jennifer was even performing better than so big morning shows, such as Judge Juddie from CBA Network, which had a viewership of 6 million...
Let correct that, Judge Juddie had once had a steady rating of 6 million viewers. The word "steady" no longer existed because the ratings were slowly dipping.
When Morning with Jennifer aired, it gradually stole those numbers until Judge Juddie was left with only 4.6 million viewers... It was infuriating for CBA Network.
Not only CBA Network, but other TV networks also suffered the sa situation. Their programs slowly lost viewers. Shows that aired during the 9 am to 10 am tislot had lost a portion of their audience, who chose to watch Morning with Jennifer instead.
They were not sure if this situation would continue or if it would only last for a short while until viewers grew tired of Morning with Jennifer.
If it were the latter, then it would be great because the ratings would return to normal. But if the audience decided to stay loyal to Morning with Jennifer, then it would be terrible. It ant defeat for them, at least during that tislot.
However, the TV networks could still find a way to fix it. The best way was to make a better show that would catch the attention of viewers, sothing fresh and entertaining. But could they make a better show than Morning with Jennifer?
"Jennifer, I'm so happy for you!"
Princess Chantal and Isabella hugged Jennifer tightly, excited to see their big sister.
" too," Jennifer smiled... Her makeup covered her eye bags. She was tired because she was working on two shows and had rare monts to rest. Her schedule was packed almost every day.
"Congratulations! You have your own show!" Isabella said sincerely.
Jennifer was the host of Morning with Jennifer and The Singing Voice Season 5, making her schedule so packed that she barely had ti to breathe.
Jennifer and Collin agreed that they could drop The Singing Voice once Morning with Jennifer beca a huge hit. For now, Morning with Jennifer still needed so ti to prove its success.
The biggest factor was the assurance that the morning show would beco permanent or at least receive approval from Nation TV for another season next year. That confirmation would secure Jennifer's career direction.
So Jennifer had to juggle her work for quite a while.
Princess Chantal excitedly led Jennifer to a private room to talk, pulling her along like a sister eager to gossip. She wanted to hear about Jennifer's love life, a topic she found interesting. Even Isabella was curious.
"So how was it? You told us that you found a boyfriend? Is he hot?"
Jennifer smirked and gave a thumbs-up.
"9/10, he's that good."
"Wow."
The two younger won clapped their hands.
Jennifer told them how they t and how he invited her to a nice dinner. Her boyfriend was a new actor, soone still climbing the ladder.
"How about you guys? I'm sure you also have so flings." Jennifer grinned, teasing Princess Chantal and Isabella.
"Hehe," they blushed, their reactions obvious.
Indeed, Princess Chantal and Isabella were not young anymore. They were 21 years old, an age where they could fall in love and fall out just as quickly. The age when they wanted to have fun and enjoy life.
"You guys are surely having fun."
The two won blushed again, unable to deny her deduction. Princess Chantal's world tour was still ongoing, and she and Isabella t handso n in different countries. However, those were not serious relationships, just temporary flings.
As the three talked about their love lives, the topic naturally shifted to other people such as Collin, Lawrence, Wyatt, and Axel.
"Wyatt has a fiancée, and they are doing pretty well. Wyatt lost weight, and he is doing better now. I'm happy for him," Jennifer said, and the others agreed.
"As for Lawrence... I didn't expect that guy to be married at all! Collin, that bastard. He didn't even share this news with . I couldn't believe that they would hide it from us." Jennifer snorted and crossed her arms in annoyance.
"So the rumors are real!?" Isabella was surprised. She thought it was just a lie. Isabella was still a fan of Lawrence, even though she realized that he was not the Prince Charming she once thought he was. She admitted that Lawrence was simply charismatic and great at acting, his real personality was different from his on-screen image.
"It seems so. And from the looks of it, he married the woman right after he broke up with Zara." Jennifer rolled her eyes.
Zara Lauren was a model and now an actress who was working on a TV show. She found a stable career in the industry after she transitioned.
"We t Zara last ti, and she said that she didn't know if Lawrence was married or not." Princess Chantal and Zara were still friends. Although Zara was only being friends with Princess Chantal because of her status.
"For Axel... That guy has no one at all except his son. Honestly, Axel and Collin are the sa. I think they are afraid of won or sothing." Jennifer sighed, half joking but slightly serious.
Especially Collin. It was such a waste that a handso guy like him never entertained a romantic relationship. Many won would gladly date him.
"I don't think so. I feel like they just don't want to fall in love again... Jennifer, you've known them longer, right? Do you know the reason why they don't want to love again?" Princess Chantal asked curiously. She and Isabella knew about Axel's history since it was the source of his scandal, but Collin was a different case. His past remained mysterious to them.
