Just as Collin expected, even though the won were throwing themselves at Axel, the actor remained composed and never agreed to their offers.

Collin respected Axel. He simply understood his situation.

"I watched Whiplash, Axel's performance is amazing."

The two had a brief conversation.

"Thank you. I'm seven months pregnant." Vanessa smiled and rubbed her belly.

"I guess Mr. Yajiro will be excited."

"Nah, we are divorced. I'm not Mrs. Yajiro anymore. I'm back to using my maiden na, Vanessa Wang."

"Eh? But what about the child?"

"The child is not his. I got knocked up by Jamal."

"...But I thought you guys were cool with open relationships."

He sat down at the table for Whiplash. Their production team had its own section at the banquet. The director was present, as was the rest of the cast, including Axel.

Even though it was just a nomination announcent, it was obvious that Axel was nervous. He had spent considerable ti and money just to get a nomination, he didn't want everything to go to waste.

A few minutes later, once the banquet hall cald down, the President of the Academy showed up with the list of nominations. He announced the movie titles, the directors, and the actors and actresses who had secured nominations.

Axel sighed in relief when he heard his na. He had received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Collin glanced at Vanessa and found that she had a bitter smile. Her actor had not received a nomination. The woman left early.

Now that Axel had a nomination, it seed he would have to spend even more... Since he had made the cut, he might as well do his best to win the award. The PR team was also more than happy to keep working for him.
