Before the Herrscher could even move, Elias appeared in front of her. With a single motion, he swung his hand across her face—sending her flying with a thunderous slap.
It was far too reckless—far too lacking in self-awareness. Did that Herrscher really not understand her situation? This wasn't so noble knight's duel where no one could intervene. There was no way Elias would stand by and watch i get hurt.

Before the boy could even respond, i hooked her arm around his neck and pressed her lips to his.

Only when she had personally defeated the Herrschers of Dominance did she feel worthy of confessing her feelings. In truth, even during the battle, this thought had been running through her mind all along.
