Thinking this, Lanvelle lifted her head and said, "Miss Herta, my na is Lanvelle. I ca to see you regarding an important matter. You're aware that Professor Patavia of the Intelligentsia Guild has invited you to join the Guild, correct?"
Herman nodded, then revealed a puzzled expression. "I know. But didn't I already send a reply declining?"
Lanvelle said helplessly, "That's the Intelligentsia Guild—a superpower within the cosmos. Its scholars can cooperate with the IPC. Joining the Guild is equivalent to becoming a major figure in the universe."

Herman shook his head. "Once you enter the Intelligentsia Guild, you have to join one of its schools. And I doubt every project within a school receives investnt. For example, the Solitary Waves Theory I'm researching right now!"
"It's the Fourth Cosmic Conundrum. I doubt many people within the Guild are optimistic about ... So even if I joined, I probably wouldn't receive resources to support my research."

Her voice rose sharply. "According to news from the IPC, new mbers of the Genius Society sotis appear only after several Amber Eras—or even dozens of Amber Eras!"

Lanvelle's expression turned serious. "Miss Herta, do you truly believe you can join the Genius Society? Do you really have that level of confidence in your talent?"
"Of course. I have no doubt about Herta's world-shaking brilliance," Herman replied with absolute certainty.
