Since Serval had just arrived on the Astral Express, it wouldn't be right to actually make her sleep in a storage compartnt, would it?
After all, this situation was entirely different from the one back at Herta Space Station. Back then, they had plenty of ti to set things up at a leisurely pace. Now, however, Pom-Pom had urged them to depart as soon as possible, leaving little room for delay.
Besides, Hiko had already witnessed Leon use the Power of the Trailblaze to expand the other cabins. The mory left her feeling completely reassured. Under the circumstances, asking for his help was the most logical and appropriate choice.
"No problem. Leave it to ." Leon stood up with a light chuckle, extending a hand toward Serval in a gentlemanly gesture. "Co, let take you to see the place first."
He led her down the corridor to the door of a slightly cluttered storage room.
"This... is my room?" Serval's brow furrowed slightly. Was she really expected to sleep in a supply closet?
"This is all we have for now," Leon said, his tone apologetic, but a glint of amusent danced in his eyes. "There are no ready-made empty rooms on the Astral Express. Only this utility room can be converted."
He then elaborated, "Actually, when we stop at a planet with abundant resources, new Trailblazers often take a space like this and slowly remodel it into their own exclusive room, customizing it to their tastes. The Astral Express crew is small, so this is how it's always been done. Every ti soone new arrives, they design a room, and the veteran passengers help build it using the Power of the Trailblaze."
He paused, his gaze settling on Serval. "But here on Jarilo-VI... Pom-Pom suggested we depart as soon as possible. So, the remodeling might have to wait until the next stop."
"So for the ti being, I have to sleep here?" Serval arched an eyebrow. She didn't truly mind, but the situation felt like the perfect opportunity to tease him back.
A playful flicker entered Leon's eyes as he leaned a little closer. "My room is quite large," he murmured, his voice dropping a notch. "You could always make do at my place for a few nights."
"What are you thinking!" March 7th imdiately interjected, shooting a glare at Leon before warmly grabbing Serval's hand. "Serval, you can co to my room! We can stay together for a few days!"
"My room is nice too," Stelle added, raising her hand.
Leon just smiled, deciding to drop the teasing for a mont. "In any case, you can stay in soone else's room for now while you think about the design for your own. Once the plan is set, I'll help you bring it to life."
As he spoke, he raised his hand. A starlight-like glow seed to flow within the depths of his eyes. A dense wave of the Power of the Trailblaze surged out like a silent, golden tide, flooding into every corner of the cabin before them.
Serval was startled. She could clearly feel the pure, surging nature of that power. Having just been formally inducted as a Trailblazer, she was now connected to the Path, and could naturally sense the imnse reservoir of energy Leon commanded.
The very walls of the storage room seed to co alive, stretching and extending in all directions as if they were made of clay. The originally cramped space expanded at a visible rate, its outlines becoming sharp and clear until it finally settled, transford into a square, bright, and completely empty new cabin.
"That's it for now," Leon said casually, withdrawing his power. "This will be your room from now on. Once you've decided how to decorate it, you can co to anyti."
Aside from Leon, March 7th and the others were already accustod to such sights and simply watched with calm familiarity.
Serval, however, was still a bit dazed. As a brand-new Trailblazer, her perception of this power was particularly raw and direct, and the sheer scale of his control was staggering.
"As for where to stay in the anti..." Leon laughed again, circling back to their previous topic. "Are you sure you don't want to co see my room? It's... quite spacious."
"Is it really that big?" This ti, it wasn't Serval who responded, but Stelle. She blinked, a rare flicker of genuine curiosity in her eyes. Co to think of it, no one on the Astral Express had ever actually been inside Leon's room.
"Want to take a look?" Leon arched an eyebrow, making a theatrical "please" gesture. "Then co along."
After they climbed the stairs and he pushed open the seemingly ordinary door to his quarters, everyone was stunned into silence.
"Wow... Is this... is this a room?" March 7th's eyes were wide saucers, her voice filled with disbelief.
What lay before them was not the familiar, compact train cabin they were all used to. It was a fully-equipped, multi-level apartnt suite.
A spacious living room opened up before them, furnished with a comfortable sofa facing a massive audio-visual setup. To one side was a study with a floor-to-ceiling wall of books. Further in, they could see a bedroom and a bathroom complete with a bathtub.
But what was even more amazing was the "open-air" balcony. In reality, the outer wall was constructed from a nearly transparent special material, creating the stunning illusion that the vast, star-strewn cosmos had been brought directly into the room.
"I slowly expanded all of this using the Power of the Trailblaze," Leon explained, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "You could do the sa, remodeling your own space with your power."
"How could the Power of the Trailblaze be used for sothing like this..." March 7th muttered, her eyes continuing to scan the luxurious space. "And this isn't even a room anymore; it's a whole house!"
In comparison, her own room suddenly felt rely "adequate."
"It's so big," Stelle and Caelus said in perfect unison. Although their own rooms were comfortable enough, they seed utterly modest when asured against this place.
A smile touched Serval's lips as she walked over to the large sofa in the living room and patted the soft cushions. "I feel like I could just sleep right here."
"That's why I said..." Leon leaned against the doorfra, his smile deepening. "You're more than welco to stay here for now. It won't be too late to move once your own room is ready."
This ti, March 7th didn't imdiately voice her opposition. Looking around the living room, which was larger than her entire cabin, she had to admit that Serval would be far more comfortable here than squeezed into a room with her.
"How about... I take a look at March's and the others' rooms first?" Serval's tone was a bit hesitant.
She was undeniably tempted. This felt more like a complete ho than just a room on a train. It didn't seem like there would be anything wrong with her and Leon staying in different areas of the sa suite. Still, a hint of subtle bashfulness kept her from nodding in agreent right away.
"Sure! Co see my room!" March 7th imdiately seized the suggestion, warmly grabbing her hand again.
Following that, Serval visited March 7th's, Stelle's, and Caelus's rooms in turn. Each space was cozy and brimming with the owner's personality, but their size was indeed similar to her own new cabin, which was currently just an empty shell.
Serval also ca to a new realization: Leon had used the Power of the Trailblaze to expand his room to such a ridiculous size. It truly was... extravagant.
After visiting the other rooms—each with a different style but all equally cozy—Serval had a much clearer comparison in her mind.
"So, have you decided?" Leon was leaning against the hallway wall when she returned, his tone casual, but his gaze held a gentle inquiry. "My offer still stands. Of course, staying with March 7th would certainly be lively, too."
March 7th stood at her own doorway, her expression a mixture of anticipation and a conflict she didn't quite understand herself. She truly wanted to get closer to her new friend, but after seeing Leon's "mansion" with her own eyes, she had to admit that in terms of sheer comfort, that place was a much better option for Serval.
