Now reading: Chapter 284: Honkai: Star Rail — Kamen Rider! [284] from Honkai: Star Rail — Kamen Rider!, a Action novel by OuroTL.

The sun rose from the far horizon, its light spilling over everything. Even here, in the gaps between dreams, it could still be seen.

"A new sun is rising, a paradise is about to be forged, a body is about to be born, and a circle of friends is about to part..."

Gazing at that distant sun, Gallagher could not help murmuring the words etched into his mind.

They were the words he himself had carved into the deepest part of his mory.

They were also the words that man had kept whispering before he passed away.

"If I rember right, that line got written into Clockie, didn't it?"

The Trash Can walking beside him spoke with the sa trace of emotion.

"And it even got quoted at the climax of the show's mid-cao arc."

Under the blazing sunlight, countless streams of moria surged this way from distant Penacony.

The battle over there had already reached white heat. The new sun had shed its dull shell and burst into brilliance, but the old sun still had not given up on what he was doing.

Behind the scenes, Sunday was using the Stellaron to catalyze the Asdana system's moria, allowing it to seep into the material world and blend "dream" with "reality."

At the sa ti, he mixed into that reality-seeping moria a portion of the HARMONY-aligned Penacony archived by the choir from beyond the sky, making the dream indistinguishable from reality.

That way, the mont people set foot on Penacony, their minds would step into the hall of "ORDER."

"As expected of ENA's Dream, a sche laid down over thousands of years. In a paradise like this, everyone could probably live happily ever after."

And yet, buried in the cornerstone of that paradise was one fatal flaw.

Gallagher and the Trash Can turned together to look at the Clockie statue behind them.

From the very mont dream and reality had begun to rge, this place had already been prepared as a point where the fusion between the two ran especially deep.

Because this was the boundary between dream and reality.

Because this was the interstice of waking dreams.

So all the moria ant to infiltrate reality would ultimately co rushing here, because this was the fastest path through.

But that passage had long since been occupied.

And halfway along it, a purple-haired woman stood ready with a great blade in her hands.

So what if moria could seep into reality?

As long as she swallowed up all the moria flooding in, it would never beco a threat at all.

"That old man really did leave behind a lot of backup plans."

Gallagher could not help sighing aloud.

But he did not get to linger in that mood for long, because soone quickly shattered the atmosphere around him.

"Mr. Gallagher, everything you wanted prepared has already been loaded onto the train. When are we leaving?"

Misha's cheerful call pulled Gallagher's attention back to the present. "We're leaving right now!"

Step by step, Gallagher walked toward the train preparing to depart. Halfway there, he turned his head and looked back at the Trash Can.

"You're not coming?"

Just the thought of being part of a scene like this should have been enough to get anyone excited.

Just like the aning behind those lines from the poem.

"I'll pass. There are still other things I haven't finished yet..."

The Trash Can did not climb aboard the freight car. Instead, she headed down another road.

Just like how that poem appeared in the middle of the cao arc, there was still sothing she had yet to finish.

Gallagher said nothing more and simply boarded the train, which was already cramd full of people.

If it did not want to go, that was its business.

But Gallagher had to go...

With practiced ease, Gallagher reached out and ruffled Misha's hair, only for the boy to smack his hand away without ceremony.

"Honestly, stop bothering the conductor!"

Misha's flustered complaint only made Gallagher laugh.

He stroked the harmonica in his arms, his gaze turning deep and distant. This might be his... last chance to see that person again.

So there was no way he could stay behind.

Woo—woo—wooo—!

With a long, lingering whistle, the train slowly rolled toward that beautiful dream of ORDER...

...

[DISORDERLY NOISE!]

As the baton was forcibly seized back into HIS hand, the rebellious movent ringing in people's ears dissolved once more.

Even though the deathly symphony Penacony had played had already been utterly shattered by that radiant figure, Sunday still had not let go of his pride and prejudice.

But that no longer mattered.

The warrior wrapped in shining brilliance had already declared his unyielding rebellious will to everyone.

Those with strong enough wills had already begun to awaken beneath the lody that had just been played.

Sora had successfully disrupted ORDER's beautiful dream for a single instant.

And on a battlefield like this, Sunday, as the AEON of ORDER, simply had no ti to repair the disturbance.

HE could clearly feel the piano keys on HIS body disappearing one by one, and so HE pronounced judgnt upon the Sora before HIM:

[AND YOU DARE CALL YOURSELF THE SUN?!]

The baton traced note after note through the air, and they ca crashing down upon Sora like a rainstorm.

Yet in the face of that oncoming attack, Sora did not panic in the slightest.

A radiant light spilled out from the belt and circled around him, intercepting every invading note.

"I'm not trying to beco the sun..."

Only after Sunday's attack ended did Sora raise a hand and take that protective radiance into his grasp.

The light faded, and the forrly curled-up Shining Caliber instantly unfolded, gleaming with lethal sharpness.

"I just want to briefly light the way forward for these lost people in the dark."

With that, Sora charged straight at Sunday.

Sunday raised a hand to block. Rings of notes, lines of lody—all of it took on tangible form.

But before Sora, it was utterly worthless.

The Shining Caliber split those crafted lodies and musical scores cleanly in two with effortless ease.

At Sora's current level, Sunday's attacks simply no longer had any effect on him.

[ALL THINGS ARE PART OF THE LODY!]

If notes were not enough, then Penacony itself would be made to halt Sora's advance.

The baton kept falling, and the Dominicus on Sunday's body began to play a song of life.

The lody rose high and proud, as though telling the story of life, with the aid of ORDER, becoming a towering world tree.

As the lody spread, all the vegetation across Penacony seed to co under its influence, growing and spreading madly.

They rose before Sunday like devout believers protecting their newborn AEON.

Sora's small figure plunged headlong into that living defensive line and vanished from sight.

"Did it stop him?"

Even Gopher Wood's scouts had their view blocked by those wildly overgrown lifeforms, leaving them unable to confirm Sora's situation.

But very soon, he saw a narrow crack appear in that living wall.

A faint gleam leaked through it.

In the next instant, a figure wielding twin blades burst through the line and charged straight at Sunday.

That living defensive line was utterly incapable of stopping Sora's advance.

Before the incomparably sharp twin blades in his hands, those barriers were as good as nonexistent!

[THE NOISE IS FADING!]

Countless notes swept toward Sora like a storm, trying to drive him back again.

Yet Sora did not fear them in the slightest.

A faint radiance flickered along the twin blades. Every slash left an afterimage hanging in place.

One by one, all those notes were cut apart.

His figure was like a bolt of lightning, darting freely through the storm of notes.

In the blink of an eye, he broke through the tempest and arrived right in front of Sunday.

[HOW... IS THAT POSSIBLE?!]

Sunday looked up in shock.

Just a mont ago, that storm of notes had still been able to delay Sora for a while.

How had his speed increased by this much again in such a short ti?!

That rate of evolution...

Was this guy really human?

Sunday could not help but suspect that Sora might actually be so infant AEON wearing human skin.

Otherwise, how could he have evolved again so dramatically in such a short span of ti?

"How is it not possible?!"

But whether HE was shocked or not, Sora's twin blades had already reached Sunday.

"This is what human resolve looks like!"

Feeling the threat radiating from the edge of those blades, Sunday's movents slowed by half a beat.

SHING!

As a flash of blade-light blood across the sky, even the lody of ORDER's dream lost its rhythm for an instant.

The Iron Cavalry girls felt the force binding their limbs begin to weaken.

That let them wrench their hands and feet free from the ground.

"Did he win?"

They stretched their stiff limbs and looked toward the battlefield in the sky.

If Sora had not won, how could they possibly have broken free of their restraints?

But just as they began to feel sothing was wrong, an inexplicable wave spread out from the sky and instantly enveloped all of Penacony.

The boundary between illusion and reality twisted in that mont.

In an instant, the ground beneath their feet beca empty void.

The living wall in the sky turned unreal, and only then were they able to see the battlefield clearly.

Sunday still stood high in the air, but a slash had already appeared across that puppet-like face.

anwhile, Sora stood back-to-back with Sunday, whose body had beco sowhat translucent.

[WHAT TRENDOUS POWER. YOU TRULY DO SURPRISE .]

That wave that twisted the real and the unreal spread out from HIM again, turning illusion back into reality.

The AEON stood with his back to the rebel, his tone almost admiring. [BUT THIS IS STILL ONLY THE POWER OF ONE INDIVIDUAL...]

As illusion beca reality once more, the surroundings returned to how they had been before.

[IF ALL LIVING BEINGS COULD POSSESS STRENGTH LIKE YOURS, THEN PERHAPS THIS WORLD REALLY COULD BECO BEAUTIFUL.]

But sadly, there were no "ifs" in this world.

So those people who had already been devout from the beginning still remained sunk in ORDER's beautiful dream, even after Sora had clearly gained the upper hand, even after he had already wounded the AEON...

As long as they remained asleep, Sunday would remain undefeated.

[MAN'S LONGING FOR BEAUTIFUL ILLUSIONS IS NEARLY OBSESSIVE. THAT IMPULSE MAKES PEOPLE INSTINCTIVELY REJECT CRUEL TRUTHS.]

Sora's power truly was formidable. He could even wound Sunday.

But in this beautiful dream of ORDER, HE was undying.

"But this is still only a dream! Running away won't solve anything!"

Sora tightened his grip on his weapons once more and launched another attack on Sunday.

Strike after strike, move after move, all of them landed on Sunday's body.

This ti, Sunday did not turn everything unreal.

Instead, HE chose to take the twin blades head-on with HIS own body.

Under those blades, cracks spread all across HIM.

And those wounds looked as though they had been torn open by thorn-covered brambles.

Yet Sunday paid them no mind at all, because those devout believers in the beautiful dream had already seen HIS current state.

Seven-colored threads stretched out above their heads, gathering into thorny brambles that spread across the divine body.

[WITHOUT ORDER, HOW CAN THE WEAK CHOOSE GOODNESS?]

The once imposing Sunday now looked frighteningly frail.

But Sora could clearly feel the power inside HIM flowing continuously into the believers through those rainbow thorns spread across HIS body.

"You..."

Sora stared in shock. He had never imagined Sunday would do sothing like this.

As that transfer of power continued, Sunday's massive body began to grow terribly withered.

Was Sunday really giving away his own power to other people?

No!

[THE WORK OF ALL CREATION IS COMPLETE.]

Because vague, illusory figures began drifting up from those devout believers.

Following the rainbow vines, they gathered around the withered Sunday, joined hands, and rged together.

[IT IS NOT YOU WHO CREATE ALL THINGS. IT IS HUMANITY THAT HAS REMADE YOU!]

Those words spread and echoed throughout all of Penacony.

HE was creating sothing different from the previous AEON.

Because what Sunday wanted to create was a paradise for humanity.

Above the withered Sunday, countless figures joined hands, and a radiance erged from within the remains.

The Stellaron!

The true culprit behind Penacony's Synesthesia Dreamscape.

And the very foundation of Sunday's ascension to AEONhood.

The Stellaron's light grew brighter and brighter, until at last it swallowed those hand-linked figures and slowly wrapped itself around the withered Sunday.

[THE DAY WITHOUT DOUBT HAS ARRIVED, THE EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY—!]

A new pulse spread outward from that point, echoing throughout this beautiful dream of ORDER.

And at the center of that pulse, a newborn body—far smaller than the Great Septimus—slowly opened its arms to receive the worship of all beings.

[—SHALL REMAKE HEAVEN, EARTH AND ALL THINGS FOR US!]

There was no other lody within that new pulse. It sounded utterly plain, like the first note of a composition.

And yet within that ordinary first note, it felt as though all living beings were singing along at once.

The little bird Gopher Wood had beco beat its wings in joy and excitent.

"It worked! It worked!"

He flew excitedly around the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY, as if trying to pour all the delight in his heart into that motion.

Within the HARMONY Incarnate, Dominicus, a new AEON of ORDER had been born!

Just as he had imagined.

HARMONY could devour ORDER, and ORDER could also devour HARMONY.

Using the HARMONY Incarnate as fertilizer, he had brought the AEON of ORDER into the world once more.

A sche thousands of years in the making had finally borne fruit today. Gopher Wood's ambition in life had now been completely fulfilled.

But compared to Gopher Wood's excitent, Robin instead felt miserable.

The instant that first pulse echoed out, Robin clutched her head.

Within her mind, that lody played happiness and fulfillnt.

It was as if every good thing in the world lay within it.

As if she could obtain anything she had ever wanted through it.

Status, wealth, the one she loved—in Robin's eyes, all of it was suddenly within easy reach.

As long as she joined it, she could have everything she wanted.

And as that thought ford, the lody echoing in her mind kept changing.

This was the brand-new ORDER forged by Sunday, a song of ORDER created by humanity itself.

HE needed only to play the first note. The rest of the composition would naturally vary according to each person's individuality.

And yet in the end, all those songs still led to the sa place.

All of them existed to make every person feel happy and fulfilled.

The people who had begun showing signs of waking beneath the lody Sora had played fell back into deep slumber under that first note of RDER.

[TO THE DEAD AEON, I OFFER MY SALUTE.]

Protected and upheld by countless arms, the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY Sunday continued writing the symphony of happiness.

[TO THE SINNER WHO REMAINS AWAKE, I OFFER MY THANKS.]

Though this had always been certain, Sunday still had to thank Sora for his struggle.

Without these disturbances, HE could never have forged so perfect a song of ORDER.

[As thanks, I shall personally send you to your burial.]

[AS THANKS, I SHALL PERSONALLY SEND YOU TO YOUR BURIAL.]

—BY SEVEN CYCLES, I SWEAR TO BRING THE SINNER EVERLASTING DESCENT!—

A certain score burst outward from Sunday at the center and spread in all directions.

And for everyone caught by that score, an endlessly repeating song began to ring in their ears.

With each repetition, the song stripped away the world's recognition of them.

In the first cycle, their reality was stripped away by ORDER. They would no longer be known or perceived by others.

In the second cycle, chronology itself was erased from them. They would fall under no calendar, no governance, no order of ti.

Then even speech was swallowed away, leaving them unable to produce any sound at all.

After that, value and aning vanished as well, until at last what this lody stripped away was "human dignity" itself.

Once that disappeared from within them, they beca like ghosts adrift in the void.

No existence could perceive them. No one could know they were there.

All they could do was watch those people continue living happily.

Darkness swallowed them completely—including Robin, and including the Iron Cavalry girls who had collapsed under ORDER's lody.

Their world contained nothing.

No one could sense their existence.

And they would remain in that state forever and ever.

"Don't give up..."?!

A tiny glimr of light appeared in the far distance of that void.

"Don't give up!!"

Under that faint illumination, sensation returned, and the mories that had been taken away ca flooding back.

That sliver of radiance lit the road ahead for them in the darkness!

"Don't give up!!!"

Everyone suddenly snapped awake from the ground, eyes wide. Only then did they realize everything just now had felt like a dream.

And yet the sensation of having all their senses, all their dignity, stripped away had felt so real that they could not recover from it for a long while.

"Robin-san's big brother is seriously terrifying."

"Yeah... I never want to go through that a second ti."

They joked with one another, trying to ease the lingering discomfort of what they had just been through.

If they had stayed in that state any longer, then even if they woke up, they probably would have beco empty-headed idiots.

The kind who would even forget how to breathe.

So this was the terror of ORDER.

Now they had truly seen it for themselves.

But even while their hearts still trembled with aftershock, the Iron Cavalry had no idea what they were supposed to do now.

Sora was fighting at the very front, and only that shining figure of his could resist the lody emanating from the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY.

On a battlefield like this, the Iron Cavalry could do nothing at all.

"So are we just supposed to stand here and watch?"

"Then tell what we're supposed to do on a battlefield like this."

Mitsutake sighed helplessly. "Not getting in the way is already the biggest help we can give."

It was the truth, but hearing it still made their spirits sink.

"There is still a way."

That sudden sentence drew everyone's attention at once.

Robin said firmly, "We still have a way!"

The best way to fight lody was with lody.

They did not even need to wake the sleeping masses with song. As long as the lody they played could offset ORDER's notes even a little, it would give Sora a better chance of victory!

"But how are we supposed to help him?"

It was a good idea, but Hotaru only looked up at the two figures facing one another in midair and said nothing.

A battlefield like that was far beyond the reach of ordinary sound.

"We go to the Penacony Grand Theater. A performance there will be heard throughout all of Penacony!"

Robin quickly ca up with a location.

But almost imdiately, she realized the grand theater was far too far away.

And with everyone in Penacony asleep, even if they flew there, the battle might already be over by the ti they arrived.

Woo—woo—wooo—!

"Ladies, would you happen to need a ride?"

The blare of the train whistle and that question drew Robin and the Iron Cavalry's attention over.

Misha grinned. "The Compass can go anywhere!"

Robin's eyes lit up. She had experienced the train's speed before.

If it was this, then maybe it really could work!

"The grand theater—is that possible?"

Misha did not answer. He simply went inside the train and adjusted the route.

The next instant, tracks from the void connected themselves to the train.

And at the end of those tracks was the Penacony Grand Theater.

Robin boarded the train, and it sped toward the grand theater at full tilt.

But she quickly noticed that there were barely any seats left inside. Instead, the cars were filled with various special objects.

Seeing her reaction, Gallagher smiled. "Want to open them and take a look?"

He did not seem anxious about ORDER's dream at all.

Robin was in a hurry, but after opening them she discovered that they were instrunts.

"Mr. Gallagher, these are..."

Ti had left its traces on those instrunts, and yet even so, they had been preserved so well they looked almost new.

Gallagher said nothing. He only leaned against the train window and looked down at the battlefield below.

His eyes held rembrance.

It's almost ti.

...

[IT SEEMS THAT IN THE END, I HAVE STILL CO OUT SLIGHTLY AHEAD.]

Surrounded and upheld by countless hands, the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY spoke those words to the radiant warrior of rebellion.

You truly rebelled to the very end.

You truly held on until the very last.

And yet under the ORDER HE upheld, not a single life had been willing to enter the wakefulness Sora spoke of.

"But even so, I still believe in human possibility."

With Shining Caliber in hand, Sora's heart did not waver in the slightest.

[THEY CHOSE TO STOP WALKING. THEY CHOSE TO ENTER AN ETERNAL BEAUTIFUL DREAM HERE WITH .]

"They're just resting for a while, that's all. What's wrong with stopping to catch your breath when you're tired on the road?"

Sora let out a soft laugh. "Once they've rested enough, they'll lift their feet again and keep walking toward tomorrow."

That answer left Sunday utterly speechless.

Enough.

There was no need to say any more.

[THEN LEFT THIS DAY OF CREATION END HERE.]

The lody of ORDER spread outward once more, as though intent on sweeping up all things and holding the whole cosmos in its grasp.

Sora raised his twin blades like a man facing a great enemy, guarding against Sunday's next attack.

Only this ti, a discordant lody broke through the symphony of ORDER.

With the Stellaron gone, the Penacony Grand Theater had long lost its forr glory and now looked dim and faded.

And yet at that mont, that darkened star began to sound a new lody.

[...MUSIC?]

A sharp, urgent horn blared again and again, as if announcing the hero's arrival.

And the guitar that followed only drove the tension higher still.

[WHO IS IT?]

Who else could it be?

"LISTEN CLOSELY!"

"FEEL IT WITH YOUR HEART!"

"FOOTSTEPS HEADING TO THE FUTURE~"

"A HEARTBEAT HEADING TOWARDS HOPE~"

"WHEN THE DARKNESS SUDDENLY SWOOPS IN~"

"THAT UNSHAKEABLE IRON WILL."

"SHALL BECO THE KEY TO VICTORY~"

The fact that Robin's sowhat delicate voice could sing this kind of song took both of them by surprise.

[ROBIN... YOU'RE THE ONE SINGING...?]

Sunday's shock was plain. HE had never imagined his sister could wake from the first note of ORDER.

"Sorry, brother. But this paradise that makes everyone sink into it unconditionally is not the paradise I want!"

And precisely because she had experienced what it felt like to have everything stripped away, she had chosen to stand up and resist.

That may have been a special attack the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY had directed at Sora and the Iron Cavalry, but in truth it was all the sa...

Once soone sank into ORDER's first note, there was little difference between possessing everything in a dream and being stripped down into complete emptiness.

Because sooner or later, the end would co all the sa.

And after going through that, Robin could say with certainty that the path Sunday had chosen was absolutely not the paradise she dread of.

[BUT THE LOST STILL DO NOT KNOW WHERE THEY SHOULD GO... THAT IS WHY I MUST BECO THE ONE AND ONLY STAR IN THIS SKY.]

Only then, when others looked up at the night sky, would they know which direction to move toward.

"But when we were children, wasn't the wish we made for a sky full of stars?"

Robin's words made Sunday fall silent for a mont.

[BUT IF MY ONE STAR SHINES BRIGHT ENOUGH, WHO WOULD EVER KNOW WHETHER THIS SKY IS FILLED WITH STARS AT ALL?]

Surrounded by countless hands, the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY slowly rose.

HE wanted to go to that dimd sun, but the radiant warrior held HIM firmly in place yet again.

HE had already beco the AEON of ORDER.

HE had already beco the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY.

And yet reaching that dimd star still felt impossibly difficult.

It was as though a chasm now lay between them.

Robin was above in the sky, while the shining Sunday was pinned below by countless hands climbing over HIM.

Though HE had achieved a holy scene beyond the easy reach of ordinary living beings, the marks on that puppet's face made it seem as though HE were shedding tears.

Because that dimd star remained forever beyond HIS reach.

And the root of it all was the man standing before HIM.

[HOSHIGAKI SORA...]

"Don't rush off. Stay and play with a little longer!"

Sunday had barely spoken when Sora kicked HIM straight back into the embrace of those countless hands.

That very first discordant note in ORDER was still just as much of an eyesore as ever!

[ENOUGH! SINCE YOU INSIST ON COURTING DEATH, THEN SINK INTO A BEAUTIFUL DREAM OF DEATH WITHOUT END!]

HUMMM—!

An inexplicable pulse spread outward again and again from Sunday at the center.

Under the influence of that power, dim Penacony was dyed in a sacred golden light.

The EMBRYO OF ORDER stretched out a hand toward the empty sky, as if calling for sothing.

Ring after ring of light scattered through the heavens and ford a crack.

And within that crack, answering the embryo's summons, another hand extended down from the sky.

[—WITH YOUR DIVINE BODY, LAY THE FOUNDATION OF OUR PARADISE!]

Sora had been guarding against this move the entire ti. His mind had been taut all along, ready to interrupt the mont Sunday began charging it.

What he had not expected was that this move did not need any charge-up at all.

That caught him completely off guard.

The lody of ORDER spread out again and blew him aside.

When Sora tried to rush back in, he discovered that entire area had already been sealed off by so kind of force.

After dealing with Sora, the EMBRYO OF ORDER was finally able to approach that dimd star.

[ROBIN, THE PARADISE WE PROMISED...]

"There's no need to say any more, brother. The paradise we promised was never supposed to look like this!"

Sunday paused.

HE hesitated.

And in the end, the surging emotions in HIS heart beca a long sigh.

Robin began singing again from where she stood: "PRAYERS FLY TOWARDS THE DISTANT, STARRY SKY~"

Her voice was gentle, but the feelings filling it still surged with overwhelming force.

If that was how it had to be, then HE would use ORDER to remake all things!

Robin—HE believed she would understand HIM!

She gave no answer. She simply continued singing that song that belonged to no lody of ORDER: "DONT GIVE UP! LOOK FORWARD! SURPASS YOUR LIMIT!"

Sora tore through the veil of ORDER and shot upward at full speed.

But unfortunately—

It was too late.

The EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY was already on the verge of touching ENA's finger.

The mont the new ORDER and the old ORDER collided, everything across Penacony would be completely remade.

It seed everything was already too late...

Or was it?

"THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU!"

CHOOOOOOOO—!

With the blare of a train whistle, two trains ca hurtling this way at trendous speed.

Below, Misha stared in dumbfounded disbelief.

What was going on?

Probably no one could explain this sudden turn of events.

All anyone knew was this: as the train sped past Sunday, the track beneath the rear carriage being towed behind it suddenly vanished.

And then, with the train losing control, that carriage swung wide and smashed straight into Sunday's face.

BANG!!!

At the very instant before contact, the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY was slamd in the face by an entire train car.

The puppet-like face shattered under the impact, and the hand that had been on the verge of touching its target only grew more and more distant as HE fell.

This was...

Gallagher laughed. "The first note of Penacony!"

He watched that train drive into the void and disappear.

But from what one could tell, there had actually been two cars that ca bursting out.

It was only because the rear car had been under tow that they looked like a single train.

And the two of them were drastically different in style. The lead car looked like an electric railcar, while the rear looked like a steam-age locomotive.

And the one that had just smacked Sunday across the face was that towed train.

Gallagher thought for a mont. "I guess this counts as a train wreck."

When the Astral Express was traveling normally, had it ever ramd into an AEON before?

Gallagher had no idea what the answer to that question was.

But the AEON who had just been hit had now fallen to the ground.

[WHAT... THE HELL WAS THAT...?]

After plumting from the sky, the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY voiced that question.

Unfortunately, no one was destined to answer it.

No—that was not quite right.

There was an answer, just not the one HE had been hoping for.

Because the radiant warrior had already lowered himself into a half-crouch, setting his stance for a finishing burst.

A silver-white sigil floated in midair.

A running start, then a leap!

"[SHINING RIDER KICK!]"

The silver-white figure shot through that floating sigil in midair, gaining an overwhelming surge of speed.

The lody of ORDER spreading around the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY could not stop his advance at all.

Not only because of his own power—but also because of that train car that had just smashed into HIS face.

This is the lingering residue of the TRAILBLAZE...

The TRAILBLAZE's exploration of the future was not sothing HIS dream of ORDER could ever contain.

Crack. Crack. Crack.

A sound harsh enough to set one's teeth on edge rang out.

Countless fractures split open across the EMBRYO OF PHILOSOPHY's puppet-like body.

"Why did I fail...?"

Still carrying that doubt, Sunday lost consciousness.

And with the one controlling it gone, golden radiance flared bright and illuminated all of Penacony.
