Lena had always been a light sleeper, but tonight was different. The room was unusually cold, and the shadows seed to dance on the walls. She pulled her blanket tighter, trying to shake off the eerie feeling that sothing was watching her.
Suddenly, a noise ca from the corner of the room. Lena's heart pounded as she turned to see a dark figure erging from the wall. It had sharp teeth and claws, and its eyes glowed with a sinister light. She tried to scream, but no sound ca out.
The creature moved closer, its breath hot and foul. Lena fell back onto her bed, paralyzed with fear. The creature lood over her, its claws reaching out. Just as it was about to strike, the room was flooded with light. Lena's mother stood in the doorway, her face pale with worry.
"Lena, are you okay?" she asked, rushing to her side.
The creature was gone, leaving only a cold, empty space where it had been. Lena nodded, still trembling. She knew she would never forget the terror of that night, and the shadow in the wall that had almost taken her.
