Zara placed her hand upon the warm stone. “You’re not a prison,” she said softly. “You’re patience given form. But patience isn’t silence—it’s the strength to move with purpose.”
The Stone was quiet for a mont. Then, slowly, it began to hum—a sound so deep the air itself seed to bend around it. The mountains in the distance trembled, but they did not fall. Instead, they shifted, their peaks stretching toward the light like living things.
