Now reading: Chapter 2278: Story 2279: The Boundary That Becomes Transpar from Horrific Shorts: Zombie Edition, a Action novel by Sir Faraz.

Togetherness did not erase boundaries.

It changed what they ant.

Ayaan felt it as sothing subtle—almost imperceptible at first. The sense of shared identity remained, the quiet continuity between selves still present... but now, sothing about the edges of that identity began to shift.

Not disappearing.

Not breaking.

But becoming... clear.

Zara noticed it in the way people still stood apart, still occupied different spaces, still moved in their own ways—yet the separation no longer felt solid. It was there, but it did not divide.

“It’s like I can still tell where I end,” she said softly,

“but it doesn’t feel closed anymore.”

Ayaan nodded.

“Yeah,” he replied.

“It’s not a wall.”

The words settled gently.

Because before—

boundaries had defined separation.

Now—

they allowed connection through them.

The boy stepped forward again, steady, aware—but this ti, his attention rested on the space between himself and another person. Not the distance...

but the line that seed to separate them.

He paused, not to question—

but to notice.

“It’s still there,” he said quietly.

Ayaan stepped beside him.

“Yeah.”

The boy narrowed his eyes slightly—not in confusion, but in focus.

“But I can see through it.”

Ayaan’s gaze remained steady.

“I know.”

The distinction lingered.

Because now—

boundaries were no longer barriers.

Above them, the presence shifted—not by removing individuality, not by rging everything into one—

but by making the edges between things transparent to what they already shared.

Not gone.

But no longer blocking anything.

Zara looked up, her voice quieter now. “It feels like we’re still separate,” she said.

Ayaan nodded slowly.

“Yeah.”

She hesitated.

“But not cut off.”

Ayaan looked ahead.

“Nothing’s closed anymore.”

The words carried a quiet clarity.

Because before—

connection had required reaching.

Now—

it existed through what once separated.

The man stepped forward, his expression calm, almost contemplative. His gaze no longer moved between individuals as distinct points—

it rested within the space that connected them.

“Perable boundaries,” he murmured. “A condition in which distinction remains... but no longer restricts continuity.”

He paused.

“...separation without isolation.”

Ayaan glanced at him.

“Exactly.”

For the first ti—

difference did not create distance.

The figures in the street reflected it clearly now. A person stood beside another—and though their bodies did not rge, sothing between them felt open, shared. Soone spoke—and their words passed through the space between, not as sothing crossing a divide—

but as sothing already within both.

Nothing collapsed into saness.

Nothing remained divided.

Zara folded her arms lightly, her voice soft. “So it’s not about becoming one thing,” she said.

Ayaan shook his head.

“No.”

He looked ahead.

“It’s about nothing being completely separate anymore.”

The words settled deeply.

Because now—

boundaries did not define limits.

They defined forms within connection.

The boy looked at his hands again, then at the space around them—not as empty, not as distance—

but as sothing quietly continuous.

“It’s all connected,” he said quietly.

Ayaan nodded.

“Yeah.”

The boy tilted his head slightly.

“But it still looks separate.”

Ayaan’s expression softened faintly.

“Exactly.”

Above—

the presence responded.

Not by removing distinction.

Not by enforcing unity.

But by allowing everything to remain itself—while nothing remained truly apart.

For the first ti—

it did not just connect identities.

It revealed that nothing had ever been fully divided to begin with.

The man stepped back slightly, his voice quieter now. “Then division is no longer absolute,” he said.

Ayaan nodded.

“Exactly.”

The silence that followed was not shared in pieces.

It was continuous across all of them.

Zara exhaled softly, sothing lighter settling in her expression. “It feels... open,” she said.

Ayaan didn’t disagree.

Because openness was no longer space between things.

It was the absence of anything blocking what was already connected.

The boy took another step forward—steady, aware—but now, his awareness did not stop at his own form, nor did it rge into others.

It simply passed through the boundary without resistance.

And beneath him—

the path did not just carry individuals walking upon it.

It held them all within a continuity that no edge could break.

Above them, the presence remained steady—its awareness no longer centered on shared identity alone—

but on the transparency of every boundary within it.

Ayaan lifted his gaze, his voice barely above a whisper.

“It’s not just becoming together anymore,” he said.

Zara looked at him.

“Then what is it doing?”

Ayaan’s expression remained steady.

“It’s showing that we were never truly apart.”

The words settled into everything.

Because that ant—

nothing needed to be joined.

Nothing needed to be crossed.

Everything—

through awareness, presence, and connection—

was already continuous beneath its differences.

The silence that followed did not separate.

It did not divide.

It simply remained open across all things.

And for the first ti—

the world did not just hold a shared becoming.

It revealed the illusion of separation itself—

where every boundary remained visible,

yet nothing within it

was ever truly

alone.
